1 Ụmụnna m, o siiri m ike ịgwa unu okwu dịka a ga-asị na unu bụ ndị tozuru etozu nʼime Mmụọ, kama agwara m unu okwu dịka ndị anụ ahụ ha na-achị, ndị bụ ụmụntakịrị nʼime Kraịst.
And as for myself, brethren, I found it impossible to speak to you as spiritual men. It had to be as to worldlings--mere babes in Christ.
2 Ejighị m nri siri ike na-azụ unu, kama eji m mmiri ara na-azụ unu, nʼihi na unu apụghị iri nri dị ike. Nʼezie, ọ bụladị ugbu a, unu erubeghị iri nri siri ike.
I fed you with milk and not with solid food, since for this you were not yet strong enough. And even now you are not strong enough:
3 Nʼihi na unu na-adị ndụ dịka ndị bi nʼụwa, ebe ọ bụ na ekworo na esemokwu na-adị nʼetiti unu, nke a o zipụtaghị na unu na-eme dịka ndị ụwa, dịka ndị mmadụ efu nọ nʼụwa.
you are still unspiritual. For so long as jealousy and strife continue among you, can it be denied that you are unspiritual and are living and acting like mere men of the world?
4 Nʼihi na mgbe otu onye na-asị, “Abụ m nke Pọl,” onye ọzọ na-asịkwa, “Abụ m nke Apọlọs,” o gosighị na unu na-akpa agwa dịka ndị bi nʼụwa?
For when some one says, "I belong to Paul," and another says, "I belong to Apollos," is not this the way men of the world speak?
5 Onye bụ Apọlọs? Onye bụ Pọl? Ọ bụ na anyị abụghị ndị na-eje ozi, ndị wetaara unu oziọma unu kweere nʼime ya. Ọrụ dị iche iche anyị rụrụ bụkwa nke anyị rụrụ dịka Onyenwe anyị si kenye anyị ọrụ ahụ.
What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? They are just God's servants, through whose efforts, and as the Lord granted power to each, you accepted the faith.
6 Ọ bụ m kụrụ mkpụrụ ahụ, Apọlọs bụkwa onye gbara mkpụrụ ahụ mmiri, maọbụ Chineke mere ka o too.
I planted and Apollos watered; but it was God who was, all the time, giving the increase.
7 Onye kụrụ mkpụrụ ahụ na onye gbara mkpụrụ ahụ mmiri adịghị mkpa. Ọ bụ Chineke onye mere ka ha too dị mkpa.
So that neither the planter nor the waterer is of any importance. God who gives the increase is all in all.
8 O nweghị ihe dị iche nʼetiti mụ bụ onye kụrụ mkpụrụ ahụ na Apọlọs onye gbara mkpụrụ ahụ mmiri. Ọ bụ otu ihe ahụ ka anyị bu nʼobi. Onye ọbụla ga-anata ụgwọ ọrụ ya.
Now in aim and purpose the planter and the waterer are one; and yet each will receive his own special reward, answering to his own special work.
9 Anyị so Chineke na-arụ ọrụ. Unu onwe unu bụkwanụ ubi Chineke bụrụkwa ụlọ ya a na-ewuli elu.
Apollos and I are simply fellow workers for and with God, and you are God's field-- God's building.
10 Eji m onyinye amara Chineke nyere m tọọ ntọala ọrụ a, dịka ezi onye ọka nʼiwu ụlọ, onye ọzọ amalitela iwukwasị ụlọ nʼelu ntọala ahụ. Ma ka onye ọbụla kpachapụ anya otu o si ewu.
In discharge of the task which God graciously entrusted to me, I--like a competent master-builder--have laid a foundation, and others are building upon it. But let every one be careful how and what he builds.
11 O nweghị onye ọzọ pụrụ ịtọ ntọala karịrị ntọala ahụ e bururị ụzọ tọọ. Jisọs Kraịst bụkwa ntọala ahụ.
For no one can lay any other foundation in addition to that which is already laid, namely Jesus Christ.
12 Ma ọ bụrụ na mmadụ ọbụla na-eji ọlaedo maọbụ ọlaọcha, ma ọ bụkwanụ nkume dị oke ọnụahịa, osisi maọbụ okporo ọka, ma ọ bụkwanụ ahịhịa na-ewukwasị nʼelu ntọala ahụ,
And whether the building which any one is erecting on that foundation be of gold or silver or costly stones, of timber or hay or straw--
13 ọrụ onye ọbụla ga-egosipụta ihe ọ bụ, nʼihi na Ụbọchị ahụ ga-eme ka ọ pụta ìhè. A ga-eji ọkụ kpughee ya nʼihi na ọ bụ ọkụ ka a ga-eji nwapụta ụdị ọrụ ọ bụ mmadụ ọbụla rụrụ.
the true character of each individual's work will become manifest. For the day of Christ will disclose it, because that day is soon to come upon us clothed in fire, and as for the quality of every one's work-- the fire is the thing which will test it.
14 Ọ bụrụ na ọkụ eruchapụghị ihe ọbụla mmadụ ji wuo ụlọ ya nʼelu ntọala ahụ, onye ahụ ga-anata ụgwọ ọrụ.
If any one's work--the building which he has erected--stands the test, he will be rewarded.
15 Ma ọ bụrụ na ọkụ erechapụ ihe ọbụla mmadụ ji rụọ ọrụ ya, ọrụ ọ rụrụ ga-ala nʼiyi, ma a ga-azọpụta onye ahụ, ma ọ ga-adị ka a ga-asị na e si nʼụlọ na-ere ọkụ zọpụta ya.
If any one's work is burnt up, he will suffer the loss of it; yet he will himself be rescued, but only, as it were, by passing through the fire.
16 Ọ bụ na unu aghọtaghị na unu bụ ụlọnsọ na Mmụọ Nsọ Chineke bi nʼime unu?
Do you not know that you are God's Sanctuary, and that the Spirit of God has His home within you?
17 Ọ bụrụ na onye ọbụla emebie ụlọnsọ Chineke, Chineke ga-emebikwa onye ahụ. Nʼihi na ụlọ Chineke bụ ụlọ dị nsọ, unu bụkwa ụlọ ahụ.
If any one is marring the Sanctuary of God, him will God mar; for the Sanctuary of God is holy, which you all are.
18 Ka onye o bụla ghara ịghọgbu onwe ya, ọ bụrụ na onye ọbụla nʼime unu na-eche nʼobi ya na ya bụ onye maara ihe, dịka ihe ọmụma nke ụwa si dị, ọ ga-akara onye ahụ mma ime onwe ya onye nzuzu, ka o nwe ike bụrụ onye maara ihe. (aiōn g165)
Let no one deceive himself. If any man imagines that he is wise, compared with the rest of you, with the wisdom of the present age, let him become "foolish" so that he may be wise.
This world's wisdom is "foolishness" in God's sight; for it is written, "He snares the wise with their own cunning."
20 Ọzọkwa, “Onyenwe anyị maara echiche obi mmadụ, mara na amamihe ya bụ ihe efu.”
And again, "The Lord takes knowledge of the reasonings of the wise--how useless they are."
21 Nʼihi nke a, ka onye ọbụla ghara ịnya isi banyere mmadụ. Ihe niile bụ nke gị.
Therefore let no one boast about his human teachers.
22 Ma ọ bụ Pọl, maọbụ Apọlọs, maọbụ Sefas, maọbụ ụwa a, maọbụ ndụ, maọbụ ọnwụ, maọbụ ihe dị taa na ihe niile ga-adị nʼoge dị nʼihu, ha bụ nke unu.
For everything belongs to you--be it Paul or Apollos or Peter, the world or life or death, things present or future--everything belongs to you;
23 Unu bụkwa nke Kraịst, Kraịst bụkwa nke Chineke.
and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
