1 Ụmụnna m, mgbe m bịakwutere unu na mbụ, ejighị m mmụta m na oke okwu megharịa unu anya banyere ihe omimi niile nke okwu Chineke.
And when I came to you, brothers, I came not to proclaim God’s great secret purpose in fine language of philosophy;
2 Nʼihi na ekpebiri m na naanị ihe m ga-ama nʼetiti unu bụ naanị ihe banyere Jisọs Kraịst na mkpọgbu a kpọgburu ya nʼelu obe.
for I determined to know nothing, while among you, but Jesus as Christ, and him a crucified Christ.
3 Abịakwutere m unu nʼọnọdụ adịghị ike, oke ụjọ na ahụ ịma jijiji.
In weakness and fear and great trembling came I among you.
My message and my preaching were not in the persuasive language of philosophy, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power;
5 Ka okwukwe unu ghara ịdabere nʼamamihe mmadụ, kama ka ọ dabere nʼike Chineke.
in order that your faith should rest, not on human philosophy, but on the power of God.
6 Ma otu ọ dị, anyị na-ekwu okwu amamihe nʼebe ndị tozuru oke nọ. Ma ọ bụghị amamihe nke oge a, maọbụ nke ndị na-achị ụwa taa, bụ ndị na-aghaghị ịla nʼiyi. (aiōn )
Notwithstanding, among those who are mature I do teach philosophy; though not the philosophy of the present age, nor of its rulers who are coming to nought. (aiōn )
7 Kama anyị na-ekwu okwu amamihe nke Chineke nʼụzọ dị omimi, bụ amamihe Chineke zonarịrị ụmụ mmadụ site na mbụ, nke Chineke kara aka tupu e kee ụwa na a ga-ekpughe ya nʼoge a maka iwetara anyị otuto. (aiōn )
No, it is God’s wisdom that I utter, that hidden wisdom which God had decreed before the world began, unto our glory. (aiōn )
8 O nweghị onye ọbụla nʼime ndị ọchịchị nke ọgbọ a ghọtara ihe banyere nzube a. Nʼihi na ọ bụrụ na ha maara ya, ha agaraghị akpọgbu Onyenwe otuto ahụ nʼobe. (aiōn )
None of the rulers of the present age understands it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. (aiōn )
9 Ma dịka e dere ya, “Ihe ahụ anya mmadụ na-ahụbeghị, ihe ahụ ntị mmadụ na-anụbeghị, ihe ahụ mmadụ na-echebeghị nʼobi ya, bụ ihe Chineke kwadoro, debere ndị niile hụrụ ya nʼanya.”
Nay, as it is written. Eye has not seen, Nor ear heard, Neither have entered into man’s heart The things which God has prepared For those who love him.
10 Ma Chineke e kpugherela anyị ihe omimi ndị a site na Mmụọ Nsọ ya. Mmụọ Nsọ bụ onye na-enyochapụta ihe omimi na ihe nzuzo niile dị Chineke nʼobi.
Yet God has unveiled them to us by his Spirit. For the Spirit fathoms everything, even the abysmal depths of God.
11 Ọ dịghị onye ọbụla pụrụ ịma ihe onye ọzọ na-eche nʼobi ya. Ọ bụ naanị mmụọ nọ nʼime onye ahụ bụ onye mara ihe niile banyere ya. Ọ dịkwaghị onye pụrụ ịmata ihe Chineke na-eche nʼobi ya, ma ọ bụghị naanị Mmụọ nke Chineke.
For what man knows the depths of man except the man’s own inner Spirit? Even so, also, the Spirit of God knows the deeps profound of God.
12 Ma mmụọ nke anyị natara abụghị mmụọ nke ụwa, kama ọ bụ Mmụọ nke sitere na Chineke, ka anyị nwee ike ịghọta onyinye amara niile Chineke nyere anyị.
But we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which comes forth from God, that we may realize the blessings freely given us by God.
13 Nke a bụ ihe anyị na-ekwu, ọ bụghị nʼokwu a kuziiri anyị site nʼamamihe mmadụ, kama site nʼokwu nke Mmụọ kuziri anyị; anyị ji okwu nke Mmụọ na-akọwa eziokwu nke mmụọ.
Of these high themes we speak in words not taught by human philosophy, but by the Spirit; interpreting spiritual things to spiritual men.
14 Ma mmadụ ahụ Mmụọ na-adịghị nʼime ya adịghị anabata ihe ndị ahụ sị na Mmụọ nke Chineke bịa, nʼihi na ha bụ nzuzu nʼebe onye ahụ nọ. Ọ naghị aghọta ha, nʼihi na ha bụ ihe a na-aghọta naanị site nʼike nke Mmụọ.
The unspiritual man rejects the teachings of God’s Spirit; for him it is folly. He cannot understand it, for it is spiritually discerned,
15 Onye ahụ Mmụọ Nsọ na-achị achị na ndụ ya, nwere ike ịghọta ihe ọbụla ma ya onwe ya bụ onye mmadụ ọbụla na-enweghị ike ịghọta.
But the spiritual man discerns everything, yet is himself discerned by no one.
16 Nʼihi na, “Onye maara uche Onyenwe anyị ruo na ọ ga-ezi ya ụzọ?” Ma anyị onwe anyị nwere uche nke Kraịst.
For what man understands the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct Him?
