< 1 Ndị Kọrint 14 >
1 Ka ịhụnanya bụrụ isi ihe unu na-achọ. Chọsienụ onyinye nke Mmụọ Nsọ ike, nke ka nke onyinye inwe ike ibu amụma.
Follow after love; yet desire earnestly spiritual [gifts], but rather that ye may prophesy.
2 Onye ọbụla na-asụ asụsụ ọ na-amụghị amụ, bụ Chineke ka ọ na-agwa okwu, ọ bụghị mmadụ. Nʼezie, ọ dịghị onye na-aghọta ihe ọ na-ekwu; nʼihi na okwu ọ na-ekwu bụ ihe omimi site nʼike Mmụọ Nsọ.
For he that speaketh in a tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God; for no man understandeth; but in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
3 Ma onye ọbụla na-ebu amụma na-ezisa ozi na-enyere ndị mmadụ aka ito eto. Ọ na-agwakwa ha okwu nkasiobi na okwu na-ebuli mmụọ ha elu.
But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men edification, and comfort, and consolation.
4 Ya mere, onye ahụ na-ebu amụma na-enyere chọọchị aka, ma onye ahụ na-asụ asụsụ ọzọ, na-enyere naanị onwe ya aka.
He that speaketh in a tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
Now I would have you all speak with tongues, but rather that ye should prophesy: and greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.
6 Ụmụnna m ọ bụrụ na m bịakwutere unu malite ịsụ asụsụ unu na-adịghị aghọta, ole uru m baara unu, ma ọ bụghị ma m na-ekwu okwu banyere ihe ekpughere gosi m, maọbụ ihe niile m maara, maọbụ ihe gaje ime, maọbụ ihe nkuzi?
But now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, unless I speak to you either by way of revelation, or of knowledge, or of prophesying, or of teaching?
7 Ọ bụkwa otu a ka ọ dị nʼetiti ihe niile na-enweghị ndụ, nke na-ada ụda, dịka ọja, maọbụ ụbọ akwara. Ọ bụrụ na ha enyeghị ụda dị iche site na nke ọzọ, olee ụzọ mmadụ ga-eji mara maọbụ ọja ka a na-afụ, maọbụ ụbọ akwara ka a na-akpọ.
Even things without life, giving a voice, whether pipe or harp, if they give not a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?
8 Ọ bụrụkwa na opi ike e ji akpọ ndị agha oku adapụtaghị ụda nke ọma, onye ga-ejikere ije agha?
For if the trumpet give an uncertain voice, who shall prepare himself for war?
9 Nʼotu aka ahụ kwa, ọ bụrụ na ị na-agwa mmadụ okwu nʼasụsụ ọ na-adịghị anụ, olee otu ọ ga-esi ghọta ihe ị na-ekwu? Nʼoge ahụ, ifufe ka unu na-agwa okwu.
So also ye, unless ye utter by the tongue speech easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye will be speaking into the air.
10 Asụsụ a na-asụ nʼụwa a dị ukwuu, ma ha niile bara uru nye ndị na-anụ ha.
There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and no [kind] is without signification.
11 Ọ bụrụ na m aghọtaghị ihe onye na-asụ otu nʼime asụsụ ndị a na-ekwu, aga m abụ ọbịa nʼebe onye na-asụ asụsụ ahụ nọ, ya onwe ya ga-abụkwa ọbịa nʼebe m nọ.
If then I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be to him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh will be a barbarian unto me.
12 Ebe ọ na-agụ unu agụụ inweta onyinye nke Mmụọ Nsọ, chọọnụ onyinye ndị ahụ ga-enyere unu aka iwuli nzukọ elu.
So also ye, since ye are zealous of spiritual [gifts], seek that ye may abound unto the edifying of the church.
13 Onye ọbụla na-asụ asụsụ nʼolu dị iche iche, ga-ekpe ekpere ka e nye ya onyinye ịkọwa olu dị iche iche.
Wherefore let him that speaketh in a tongue pray that he may interpret.
14 Ọ bụrụ na m ji asụsụ dị iche na-ekpe ekpere, mmụọ m ga-eso m na-ekpe ekpere ahụ, ma uche m agaghị aghọta ekpere m na-ekpe.
For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
15 Ọ bụrụ na ọ dị otu a, olee ihe m ga-eme? Aga m eji mmụọ m kpee ekpere, jirikwa uche kpee ekpere. Aga m ejikwa mmụọ m bụọ abụ, jirikwa uche m bụọ abụ.
What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
16 Ma o bụghị otu a, mgbe i ji asụsụ ọzọ nke a na-amaghị na-eto Chineke nʼime mmụọ, olee otu ndị niile nọ nʼụlọ nzukọ ahụ na-aghọtaghị ihe ị na-ekwu ga-esi zaa Amen?
Else if thou bless with the spirit, how shall he that filleth the place of the unlearned say the Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he knoweth not what thou sayest?
17 Ọ bụ ezie na ị na-enye ekele nke ọma, ma ọ naghị ewuli onye ọbụla elu.
For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified.
18 Ana m ekele Chineke nʼihi na ana m asụ asụsụ dị iche iche karịa unu niile.
I thank God, I speak with tongues more than you all:
19 Ma mgbe ọbụla a gbakọrọ na nzukọ ife ofufe, ọ na-akara m mma ikwu naanị mkpụrụ okwu ise nke mmadụ niile ga-aghọta na nke ga-abakwara ha uru, karịa na m kwuru puku mkpụrụ okwu iri nʼasụsụ dị iche iche nke onye ọbụla na-apụghị ịghọta.
howbeit in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that I might instruct others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue.
20 Ụmụnna m, unu abụla ụmụntakịrị nʼechiche unu. Bụrụnụ ụmụntakịrị nʼihe gbasara ime ihe ọjọọ, ma bụrụnụ ndị nwere uche nʼihe gbasara ụdị okwu a.
Brethren, be not children in mind: howbeit in malice be ye babes, but in mind be men.
21 E dere ya nʼakwụkwọ iwu, “Site na egbugbere ọnụ ndị mba ọzọ sitekwa nʼire ndị na-asụ iche iche ka m ga-agwa ndị a okwu, ma ọbụladị otu a, ha agaghị ege m ntị, ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru.”
In the law it is written, By men of strange tongues and by the lips of strangers will I speak unto this people; and not even thus will they hear me, saith the Lord.
22 Ịsụ asụsụ dị iche iche abụghị ihe nlere anya nye ndị kwere ekwe, kama ọ bụ ihe ama nye ndị na-ekweghị ekwe. Ma ibu amụma bụ maka ndị kwere ekwe, ọ bụghị maka ndị na-ekweghị ekwe.
Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to the unbelieving: but prophesying [is for a sign], not to the unbelieving, but to them that believe.
23 Ọ bụrụ na nzukọ niile ezukọọ nʼọgbakọ ekpere, mmadụ niile a na-asụ nʼolu dị iche iche nʼotu mgbe, ọ bụrụkwa na ndị na-aghọtaghị, maọbụ ndị na-ekweghị ekwe abata nʼebe ahụ, gịnị ka ha ga-ekwu? Ha ọ gaghị asị na isi emebiela ndị a?
If therefore the whole church be assembled together, and all speak with tongues, and there come in men unlearned or unbelieving, will they not say that ye are mad?
24 Ma ọ bụrụ na onye na-ekweghị ekwe maọbụ onye ọhụrụ abata mgbe onye ọbụla na-ebu amụma, ha ga-abụ ndị mmadụ niile ga-atụ mmehie ha nʼanya maakwa ha ikpe mmehie.
But if all prophesy, and there come in one unbelieving or unlearned, he is reproved by all, he is judged by all;
25 Mgbe a na-eme ka ihe nzuzo nke obi ha niile pụta ìhè, onye dị otu a ga-egbu ikpere nʼala kpọọ isiala nye Chineke sị, “Nʼezie, Chineke nọ nʼetiti unu.”
the secrets of his heart are made manifest; and so he will fall down on his face and worship God, declaring that God is among you indeed.
26 Ugbu a, ụmụnna m, kedụ otu o kwesiri ịdị? Mgbe ọbụla unu zukọrọ, ụfọdụ kwesiri ịbụ abụ, onye ọzọ ga-ezi unu ihe; maọbụ gwa unu ozi dị mkpa e gosiri ya, maọbụ jiri asụsụ nke ọ na-amụghị gwa unu okwu, ka onye ọzọ kọwaa ihe onye ji asụsụ a dị iche kwuo okwu kwuru. Ma ka ihe ọbụla e mere nʼime ụlọ chọọchị bụrụ ihe ga-ewuli onye ọbụla elu.
What is it then, brethren? When ye come together, each one hath a psalm, hath a teaching, hath a revelation, hath a tongue, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
27 A sịkwa na ọ dị ndị chọrọ iji asụsụ dị iche kwuo okwu, ka mmadụ abụọ maọbụ atọ kwuo. Kama ka ha kwuo nʼotu nʼotu nʼusoro. Ka onye ga-akọwa ihe ha kwuru nọrọkwa nʼebe ahụ.
If any man speaketh in a tongue, [let it be] by two, or at the most three, and [that] in turn; and let one interpret:
28 Ọ bụrụ na ọ dịghị onye ga-akọwa ihe ha na-asụ, ka onye ahụ na-asụ asụsụ dị iche na chọọchị mechie ọnụ ya. Ya na Chineke sụrịta ya.
but if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
29 Ka mmadụ abụọ maọbụ atọ nwere onyinye ibu amụma kwuo okwu nʼotu nʼotu, ka ndị ọzọ tulee ihe ha kwuru.
And let the prophets speak [by] two or three, and let the others discern.
30 Ọ bụrụ na-ekpughere onye ọzọ nọdụ nʼakụkụ ya ihe, ka onye mbụ mechie ọnụ ya.
But if a revelation be made to another sitting by, let the first keep silence.
31 Nʼihi na unu nwere ike ibu amụma nʼotu nʼotu, ka mmadụ niile nwee ike ịmụta ihe ma bụrụkwa ndị a gbara ume.
For ye all can prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted;
32 Mmụọ niile nke ndị amụma ka a na-edokwa nʼokpuru ndị amụma.
and the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets;
33 Nʼihi na Chineke abụghị Chineke nke aghara, kama ọ bụ nke udo. Otu a ka ọ dị nʼime ọgbakọ niile nke ndị nsọ.
for God is not [a God] of confusion, but of peace; as in all the churches of the saints.
34 Ụmụ nwanyị ekwesighị ikwu okwu nʼime chọọchị. Ha ekwesighị itinye ọnụ na ntụgha ụka ọbụla, nʼihi na iwu kwuru ka ha debe onwe ha nʼokpuru ndị ọchịchị.
Let the women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but let them be in subjection, as also saith the law.
35 Ọ bụrụ na ọ dị ihe ha chọrọ ịmata, ha jụọ di ha mgbe ha lara nʼụlọ. Nʼihi na ọ bụ ihe ihere na nwanyị ga-ekwu okwu nʼime ọgbakọ chọọchị.
And if they would learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home: for it is shameful for a woman to speak in the church.
36 Unu chere na okwu Chineke malitere nʼaka unu? Unu chekwara na ọ ga-akwụsị nʼaka unu? Ụgha!
What? was it from you that the word of God went forth? or came it unto you alone?
If any man thinketh himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him take knowledge of the things which I write unto you, that they are the commandment of the Lord.
38 Ọ bụrụ na ọ dị onye nọgidere jụ ịnabata ihe ndị a, unu aṅala ya ntị.
But if any man is ignorant, let him be ignorant.
39 Ya mere, ụmụnna m, ka ibu amụma bụrụ ihe na-agụ unu agụụ, unu egbochikwala onyinye nke ịsụ nʼire dị iche iche.
Wherefore, my brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
40 Ma meenụ ihe niile nʼụzọ dị mma, ka ha dịkwa nʼusoro.
But let all things be done decently and in order.
