< 1 Ndị Kọrint 13 >
1 A sị na m na-asụ asụsụ dị iche iche nke ndị mmadụ maọbụ nke ndị mmụọ ozi, ma ahụghị m mmadụ ibe m nʼanya, abụ m naanị ogene na-eme ụzụ maọbụ mbadamba efere na-ada ụda.
Though I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have no love, I am become a clanging brass, or a clashing cymbal.
2 A sịkwa na m nwere onyinye ibu amụma, bụrụ onye pụrụ ikwu ihe niile gaje ime nʼoge dị nʼihu, na onye maara ihe niile, a sịkwa na m nwere okwukwe nke m pụrụ isite na ya nye ugwu buru ibu iwu sị ya site nʼebe ọ nọ gaa nʼebe ọzọ, ma ahụghị m mmadụ ibe m nʼanya, abụghị m ihe ọbụla.
Though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
3 A sịkwa na m ewere ihe niile m nwere nye ndị ogbenye, werekwa anụ ahụ m nye ka ere ya ọkụ nʼihi ka m nyaa isi, ihe ndị a niile abaghị uru, ma m enweghị ịhụnanya.
And though I sell all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it avails me nothing.
4 Ịhụnanya na-enwe ogologo ntachiobi, na-enwekwa obi ebere. Ọ dịghị ekwo ekworo, ọ naghị enwe anya ukwu, ọ naghị anya isi. Ọ nakwaghị ebuli onwe ya elu.
Love suffers long and is kind; love envies not; love makes no parade, is not puffed up,
5 Ọ naghị eme ihe na-akpasu iwe, ọ naghị achọ ihe nke naanị ya, ọ naghị ewe iwe ọsịịsọ. Ọ nakwaghị agụkọ ihe ọjọọ niile e mere ya.
is not rude, nor selfish, nor easily provoked. Love bears no malice, never rejoices over wrong-doing,
6 Ọ dịghị aṅụrị ọṅụ nʼihe ọjọọ, kama ọ na-aṅụrị nʼeziokwu.
but rejoices when the truth rejoices.
7 Ọ na-edi ihe niile, ọ na-ekwerekwa ihe niile, ọ na-enwekwa olileanya na-anagide ihe ọbụla dapụtara.
It knows how to be silent, it is trustful, hopeful, patient, enduring.
8 Ịhụnanya adịghị agwụ agwụ. Ma ibu amụma niile ga-emesịa kwụsị, onyinye ịsụ asụsụ dị iche iche ga-akwụsịkwa. Otu a, ihe ọmụma niile ga-agabiga.
Love never fails; but though there are prophecies, they will fail; though there are tongues, they will cease; though there is knowledge, it will be superseded.
9 Nʼihi na ọmụma anyị ezughị oke, ibu amụma anyị ezukwaghị oke.
For our knowing is imperfect, and our prophesying is imperfect;
10 Ma mgbe anyị ruru nʼizuoke, ezughị oke agaghị adịkwa.
but when the perfect is come, then the perfect will be done away.
11 Mgbe m bụ nwata, ekwuru m okwu dịka nwata, echiche m niile bụ echiche nwata. Izuzu obi m niile bụkwa nke nwata. Ma mgbe m toro ghọọ dimkpa, adịghịkwa m akpa agwa dịka nwata ọzọ.
When I was a child I spoke like a child, felt like a child, thought like a child; now that I am become a man, I have done with childish things.
12 Ugbu a, anyị na-ahụ inyogho inyogho dịka anyị na-ele anya nʼenyo ma mgbe ahụ anyị ga-ahụ ihu na ihu. Ugbu a, ihe m mara ezughị oke, ma mgbe ahụ aga m amazu, dịka m bụ onye a mazuru.
For now we see as in a mirror, and are baffled, but then face to face; now I know in fragments, but then shall I understand even as I also have been understood.
13 Ọ dị ihe atọ na-adịgide adịgide. Ha bụ okwukwe, olileanya, na ịhụnanya. Ma nʼime ha niile, ihe kachasị ha niile bụ ịhụnanya.
Faith, Hope, Love endure - these three; but the greatest of these is Love.
