The sons of Levi, Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

And, the sons of Kohath, Amram, Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

3 Amram mụrụ Erọn, Mosis na Miriam. Erọn mụrụ Nadab, Abihu, Elieza na Itama.

And, the children of Amram, Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam, —and, the sons of Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

4 Elieza mụrụ Finehaz; Finehaz abụrụ nna Abishua

Eleazar, begat Phinehas, Phinehas, begat Abishua;

5 Abishua bụ nna Buki, Buki abụrụ nna Uzi.

and, Abishua, begat Bukki, and, Bukki, begat Uzzi;

6 Uzi mụrụ Zerahaya, Zerahaya amụọ Meraiot.

and, Uzzi, begat Zerahiah, and, Zerahiah, begat Meraioth;

7 Meraiot mụrụ Amaraya, Amaraya amụọ Ahitub.

Meraioth, begat Amariah, and, Amariah, begat Ahitub;

8 Ahitub mụrụ Zadọk, Zadọk amụọ Ahimaaz.

and, Ahitub, begat Zadok, and, Zadok, begat Ahimaaz;

9 Ahimaaz mụrụ Azaraya, Azaraya amụọ Johanan.

and, Ahimaaz, begat Azariah, and, Azariah, begat Johanan,

10 Johanan mụrụ Azaraya ọ bụ ya bụ onye ahụ bụ onye nchụaja ụlọnsọ ukwu ahụ Solomọn wuru na Jerusalem.

and, Johanan, begat Azariah, —he, it was who ministered as priest, in the house which Solomon built in Jerusalem;

and Azariah begat Amariah, —and, Amariah, begat Ahitub;

12 Ahitub mụrụ Zadọk, Zadọk amụọ Shalum.

and, Ahitub, begat Zadok, and, Zadok, begat Shallum;

13 Shalum mụrụ Hilkaya, Hilkaya amụọ Azaraya.

and, Shallum, begat Hilkiah, and Hilkiah, begat Azariah;

14 Azaraya mụrụ Seraya, Seraya amụọ Jehozadak,

and, Azariah, begat Seraiah, and, Seraiah, begat Jehozadak;

15 A dọtara Jehozadak nʼagha mgbe Onyenwe anyị mere ka Nebukadneza dọkpụrụ ndị Juda na Jerusalem nʼagha.

and, Jehozadak, departed, when Yahweh carried away Judah and Jerusalem into captivity, —by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

The sons of Levi, Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.

17 Geshọm mụrụ Libni na Shimei.

And, these, are the names of the sons of Gershom, Libni and Shimei.

18 Ụmụ Kohat bụ Amram, Izha, Hebrọn, na Uziel.

And, the sons of Kohath, were Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel.

19 Merari mụtara Mahali na Mushi. Ndị a bụ ikwu Livayị ndị e depụtara dịka aha nna ha si dị.

The sons of Merari, Mahli and Mushi. And, these, are the families of Levi by their fathers:

20 Ikwu Geshọm bụ Libni, Jahat, Zima,

To Gershom, pertained Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,

21 Joa, Ido, Zera na Jeaterai.

Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, Jeatherai his son.

22 Ikwu Kohat bụ Aminadab, Kora, Asịa,

The sons of Kohath, Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son;

23 Elkena, Ebiasaf, Asịa,

Elkanah his son, and Ebiasaph his son, and Assir his son;

24 Tahat, Uriel, Ụzaya na Shaul.

Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son.

25 Ụmụ ụmụ Elkena bụ Amasai na Ahimot.

And, the sons of Elkanah, Amasai, and Ahimoth.

26 Ụmụ ụmụ Ahimot bụ Elkena, Zofai, Nahat,

As for Elkanah, the sons of Elkanah, Zophai his son, and Nahath his son;

27 Eliab, Jeroham, Elkena na Samuel.

Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, Elkanah his son.

28 Ụmụ Samuel bụ Juel, ọkpara ya, na Abija nke abụọ.

And, the sons of Samuel, the firstborn, [Joel], and, the second, Abiah.

29 Ụmụ ụmụ Merari bụ Mahali, Libni, Shimei, Ụza,

the sons of Merari, Mahli, —Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzzah his son;

30 Shimea, Hagiya na Asaya.

Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.

31 Ndị a bụ ndị ikom Devid họpụtara nye ọrụ ilekọta ndị ọbụ abụ nʼụlọ Onyenwe anyị mgbe e bubatara igbe ọgbụgba ndụ nʼebe ahụ.

And, these, are they whom David caused to stand, as the servants of song, in the house of Yahweh, when he had given rest unto the ark;

so they became attendants before the habitation of the tent of meeting, with song, until Solomon built the house of Yahweh, in Jerusalem, —and they took their stand according to their prescribed manner over their work.

Yea, these, are they who stood, with their sons. Of the sons of the Kohathites, Heman the singer, son of Joel, son of Samuel,

son of Elkanah, son of Jeroham, son of Eliel, son of Toah, —

35 nwa Zuf, nwa Elkena, nwa Mahat, nwa Amasai,

son of Zuph, son of Elkanah, son of Mahath, son of Amasai: —

36 nwa Elkena, nwa Juel, nwa Azaraya, nwa Zefanaya,

son of Elkanah, son of Joel, son of Azariah, son of Zephaniah, —

37 nwa Tahat, nwa Asịa, nwa Ebiasaf, nwa Kora,

son of Tahath, son of Assir, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah; —

38 nwa Izha, nwa Kohat, nwa Livayị, nwa Izrel.

son of Izhar, son of Kohath, son of Levi, son of Israel.

39 Asaf onye na-enyere Heman aka, na-eje ozi nʼakụkụ aka nri ya. Ndị bụ nna nna ya ochie bụ ndị a: Berekaya, nwa Shimea,

And, his brother Asaph who stood on his right hand, Asaph son of Berechiah, son of Shimea, —

40 nwa Maikel, nwa Baaseya, nwa Malkija,

son of Michael, son of Baaseiah, son of Malchijah, —

41 nwa Etni, nwa Zera, nwa Adaya,

son of Ethni, son of Zerah, son of Adaiah; —

42 nwa Etan, nwa Zima, nwa Shimei,

son of Ethan, son of Zimmah, son of Shimei, —

43 nwa Jahat, nwa Geshọm, nwa Livayị.

son of Jahath, son of Gershom, son of Levi.

44 Onye ọzọ na-enyere Heman aka bụ Etan, onye ikwu Merari. Ọ na-anọ nʼaka ekpe ya. Ndị bụ nna nna ochie Etan bụ ndị a, Kishi, nwa Abdi, nwa Maluk,

And, the sons of Merari, their brethren, on the left hand, Ethan son of Kishi, son of Abdi, son of Malluch; —

45 nwa Hashabaya, nwa Amazaya, nwa Hilkaya,

son of Hashabiah, son of Amaziah, son of Hilkiah, —

46 nwa Amzi, nwa Bani, nwa Shema,

son of Amzi, son of Bani, son of Shemer; —

47 nwa Mahali, nwa Mushi, nwa Merari, nwa Livayị.

son of Mahli, son of Mushi, son of Merari, son of Levi.

Howbeit, their brethren, the Levites, were given, for all the work of the habitation, of the house of God.

49 Ma Erọn na ụmụ ụmụ ya bụ ndị chụrụ aja onyinye nʼelu ebe ịchụ aja nke aja nsure ọkụ, nakwa nʼelu ebe ịchụ aja ihe na-esi isi ụtọ, nke metụtara ọrụ ije ozi niile nʼime Ebe ahụ Kachasị Nsọ, na-ekpuchikwara Izrel mmehie niile ha, nʼusoro dịka ihe niile si dị nke Mosis ohu Chineke nyere nʼiwu.

But, Aaron and his sons, were to make perfume upon the altar of ascending-sacrifice, and upon the altar of incense, according to all the service of the holy of holies, —even for putting a propitiatory-covering over Israel, according go all that, Moses, the servant of God, commanded.

And, these, are the sons of Aaron, —Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son, —

51 na Buki, na Uzi, na Zerahaya,

52 na Meraiot, na Amaraya, na Ahitub,

Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son, —

53 na Zadọk, na Ahimaaz.

Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.

And, these, are their dwelling-places, according to their encampments, in their boundary, —pertaining to the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, for, theirs, was the lot:

55 Hebrọn, nʼime Juda, ya na ala ịta nri anụ ụlọ niile dị ya gburugburu.

so they gave them Hebron, in the land of Judah, and the pasture lands thereof, round about it;

56 Ma ala ubi na obodo nta niile gbara Hebrọn gburugburu ka e nyere Kaleb nwa Jefune.

but, the field-land of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb son of Jephunneh.

57 Ya mere e nyere ụmụ ụmụ Erọn Hebrọn (obodo mgbaba), na Libna, na Jatịa, na Eshtemoa,

And, to the sons of Aaron, gave they, the cities of refuge—Hebron, and Libnah, with her pasture lands, —and Jattir and Eshtemoa, with her pasture lands;

58 na Hilen, na Debịa,

and Hilen with her pasture lands, Debir, with her pasture lands;

59 na Ashan, na Juta, na Bet-Shemesh, tinyere ebe ịta nri nke anụ ụlọ ha.

and Ashan, with her pasture lands, and Bethshemesh, with her pasture lands;

60 Site nʼebo Benjamin e nyere ha obodo Gibiọn, Geba, Alemet, na Anatot, tinyere ebe ịta nri nke anụ ụlọ ha. Obodo ndị a, nke e kere nʼetiti ndị ikwu Kohat, dị iri na otu nʼọnụọgụgụ.

and, out of the tribe of Benjamin, Geba, with her pasture lands, and Allemeth, with her pasture lands, —and Anathoth, with her pasture lands; —all their cities, were thirteen cities, throughout their families.

61 E fere nza tupu e nye ndị fọdụrụ nʼime ikwu Kohat obodo iri site nʼala ọkara ebo Manase.

And, unto the rest of the sons of Kohath—of the families of the tribe of Ephraim and of the tribe of Dan, and of the half-tribe of Manasseh, by lot ten cities.

62 E fekwara nza nye agbụrụ niile dị nʼikwu Geshọm obodo iri na atọ na Bashan, site nʼala ebo Isaka, na Asha, na Naftalị, na agbụrụ niile dị nʼikwu Manase.

And, to the sons of Gershom, by their families—out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

63 E fekwara nza nye ikwu Merari obodo iri na abụọ site nʼala ebo Ruben, na Gad, na Zebụlọn.

And, unto sons of Merari, by their families—out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, by lot twelve cities.

64 Otu a ka ndị Izrel si nye ndị Livayị obodo ndị a na ebe ịta nri nke anụ ụlọ dị.

So then the sons of Israel gave, to the Levites, —the cities and the pasture lands thereof;

65 Site nʼebo Juda, na Simiọn, na Benjamin ka e si kenye ha obodo ndị ahụ a kpọrọ aha ha na mbụ.

yea they gave, by lot, out of the tribe of the sons of Judah, and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, these cities which are mentioned by name.

66 E sitere nʼala ndị ebo Ifrem kenye ụfọdụ nʼime ndị agbụrụ Kohat obodo ụfọdụ.

But, as for some of the families of the sons of Kohath, they had the cities of their lot, out of the tribe of Ephraim;

67 Nʼala ugwu ugwu Ifrem e kenyere ha Shekem (obodo mgbaba), na Gaza,

and they gave unto them the cities of refuge—Shechem and her pasture lands, in the hill country of Ephraim, —and Gezer, with her pasture lands;

68 na Jokmeam, na Bet-Horon,

and Jokmeam, with her pasture lands, and Beth-heron, with her pasture lands;

69 na Aijalon, na, Gat Rimọn, tinyere ebe ịta nri nke anụ ụlọ gbara ya gburugburu.

and Aijalon, with her pasture lands, and Gath-rimmon, with her pasture lands;

70 Site nʼọkara ebo Manase, ndị Izrel nyere ndị ikwu Kohat fọdụrụ obodo ndị a: Anea na Bileam, tinyere ala ebe ịta nri anụ ụlọ ha.

and, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Aner, with her pasture lands, and Bileam, with her pasture lands, —for the rest of the family of the sons of Kohath.

71 Ndị Geshọm natara obodo ndị a: Site nʼagbụrụ ọkara ebo Manase ha natara Golan, nke dị na Bashan, na Ashtarọt, tinyere ebe ịta nri nke anụ ụlọ ha.

Unto the sons of Gershom—out of the family of the half tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan, with her pasture lands, —and Ashtaroth, with her pasture lands.

72 Ebo Isaka nyere ha Kedesh, Daberat,

And, out of the tribe of Issachar, Kedesh, with her pasture lands, —Daberath, with her pasture lands;

73 Ramọt na Anem, tinyere ebe ịta nri anụ ụlọ niile dị ha gburugburu.

and Ramoth, with her pasture lands, and Anem, with her pasture lands.

74 Ebo Asha nyere ha Mashal, Abdon,

And, out of the tribe of Asher, Mashal, with her pasture lands, —and Abdon, with her pasture lands;

75 Hukọk na Rehob, tinyere ebe ịta nri anụ ụlọ niile dị ha gburugburu.

and Hukok, with her pasture lands, —and Rehob, with her pasture lands.

76 Ebo Naftalị nyere ha Kedesh nʼime Galili, Hamọn na Kiriatem, tinyere ebe ịta nri nke anụ ụlọ ha.

And, out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee, with her pasture lands, and Hammon, with her pasture lands, —and Kiryathaim, with her pasture lands.

77 Ndị ebo Zebụlọn nyere ụmụ Merari ndị Livayị fọdụrụ ala ndị a: Jokneam, Kata, Rimọn na Taboa, tinyere ebe ịta nri anụ ụlọ ha.

Unto the rest of the sons of Merari—out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmono, with her pasture lands, —Tabor, with her pasture lands.

78 Ma nʼofe osimiri Jọdan, nʼọwụwa anyanwụ obodo Jeriko, ndị ebo Ruben nyere ha obodo Beza dị nʼọzara, nyekwa ha Jahaz,

And, beyond the Jordan at Jericho, on the east of the Jordan—out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness, with her pasture lands, —and Jahzah, with her pasture lands;

79 Kedemot na Mefaat, tinyere ebe ịta nri nke anụ ụlọ ha niile.

and Kedemoth, with her pasture lands, and Mephaath, with her pasture lands.

80 Ndị ebo Gad nyere ha Ramọt nke Gilead, Mahanaim,

And, out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead, with her pasture lands, —and Mahanaim, with her pasture lands;

81 Heshbọn na Jeza, tinyere ebe ịta nri nke anụ ụlọ ha niile.

and Heshbon, with her pasture lands, and Jazer, with her pasture lands.
