1 Ndị ikwu Juda bụ Perez, Hezrọn, Kami, Hua na Shobal.
The sonnes of Iudah were Pharez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.
2 Shobal mụrụ Reaya, onye bụ nna Jahat. Jahat bụ nna Ahumai na Lahad, ndị a bụ ndị ikwu Zorat.
And Reaiah the sonne of Shobal begat Iahath, and Iahath begate Ahumai, and Lahad: these are the families of the Zoreathites.
3 Ndị a bụ ụmụ Etam: Jezril, na Ishma, na Idbash, aha nwanne ha nwanyị bụ Hazelelponi.
And these were of the father of Etam, Izreel, and Ishma and Idbash: and the name of their sister was Hazelelponi.
4 Penuel bụ nna Gedoa, Eza bụ nna Husha. Ndị a bụ ụmụ Hua, bụ ọkpara Efrata, nna Betlehem.
And Penuel was the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah: these are the sonnes of Hur the eldest sonne of Ephratah, the father of Beth-lehem.
5 Ashua nna Tekoa lụrụ ndị nwunye abụọ: Hela na Naara.
But Asher the father of Tekoa had two wiues, Heleah, and Naarah.
6 Naara mụtaara ya Ahuzam, na Hefa, na Temeni, na Haahashitari. Ndị a bụ ụmụ ndị ikom Naara.
And Naarah bare him Ahuzam, and Hepher, and Temeni and Haashtari: these were the sonnes of Naarah.
7 Ụmụ ndị ikom Hela mụtara bụ Zeret, Zoha, Etnan
And the sonnes of Heleah were Zereth, Iezohar and Ethnan.
8 na Koz, onye bụ nna Anub na Hazobeba, nakwa nke ikwu Ahahel, nwa Harum.
Also Coz begate Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the sonne of Harum.
9 Jabez bụ nwoke a na-asọpụrụ karịa ụmụnne ya ndị ikom niile. Nne ya kpọrọ aha ya Jabez, sị, “A mụrụ m ya nʼihe mgbu.”
But Iabez was more honourable then his brethren: and his mother called his name Iabez, saying, Because I bare him in sorowe.
10 Jabez tikuru Chineke Izrel mkpu akwa sị ya, “Biko gọzie m, mee ka oke ala m saa mbara. Kwere ka aka gị dịkwasị m, ma wezuga m site nʼihe mmerụ ahụ ọbụla, ka m si otu a gbanarị ihe mgbu.” Chineke zara ekpere ya meere ya ihe ọ rịọrọ.
And Iabez called on the God of Israel, saying, If thou wilt blesse me in deede, and enlarge my coastes, and if thine hand be with me, and thou wilt cause me to be deliuered from euill, that I be not hurt. And God graunted the thing that he asked.

And Chelub the brother of Shuah begate Mehir, which was the father of Eshton.
12 Eshton mụrụ Bet-Raafa, na Pasea, na Tihina. Tihina mụrụ Ir Nahash. Ndị a niile bụ ndị ikwu Reka.
And Eshton begate Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah the father of the citie of Nahash: these are the men of Rechah.
13 Ụmụ ndị ikom Kenaz mụtara bụ, Otniel na Seraya. Otniel amụta Hatat na Meonotai.
And the sonnes of Kenaz were Othniel and Zeraiah, and the sonne of Othniel, Hathath.
14 Meonotai bụ nna Ofra. Seraya bụ nna Joab, Joab bụ nna Ge Harashim. A kpọrọ ha Ge Harashim nʼihi na ha bụ ndị ǹka.
And Meonothai begate Ophrah. And Seraiah begate Ioab the father of the valley of craftesmen: for they were craftesmen.
15 Kaleb nwa Jefune mụrụ Iru, Elaa na Naam. Ma Elaa mụrụ Kenaz.
And the sonnes of Caleb the sonne of Iephunneh were Iru, Elah, and Naam. And the sonne of Elah was Kenaz.
16 Ụmụ ndị ikom Jehalelel mụrụ bụ ndị a: Zif, Zifa, Tiria na Asarel.
And the sonnes of Iehaleel were Ziph, and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.
17 Ụmụ Ezra bụ Jeta, Mered, Efaa na Jalon. Otu nʼime ndị nwunye Mered lụrụ mụtara Miriam, Shamai na Ishba, bụ nna Eshtemoa.
And the sonnes of Ezrah were Iether and Mered, and Epher, and Ialon, and he begate Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemoa.
18 Ndị a bụkwa ụmụ ndị ikom Bitaya, bụ nwa nwanyị Fero, nke Mered lụrụ. Nwunye ya nke si nʼebo Juda mụrụ Jered bụ nna Gedoa, Heba nna Soko na Jekutiel nna Zanoa.
Also his wife Iehudiiah bare Iered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Socho, and Iekuthiel the father of Zanoah: and these are the sonnes of Bithiah ye daughter of Pharaoh which Mered tooke.
19 Ụmụ ndị ikom nwunye Hodia, nwanne nwanyị Naham, bụ nna Keila onye Gam na Eshtemoa onye Maaka.
And the sonnes of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham the father of Keilah were the Garmites, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.
20 Ụmụ ndị ikom Shimon mụrụ bụ Amnọn, Rina, Ben-Hanan na Tilon. Ishi mụrụ Zohet na Ben-Zohet.
And the sonnes of Shimon were Amnon and Rinnah, Ben-hanam and Tilon. And the sonnes of Ishi were Zoheth, and Benzoheth.
21 Ụmụ Shela nwa Juda mụrụ bụ Ịa, nna Leka, Laada, nna Maresha, na ikwu ndị ọrụ ịkpa ezi akwa ọcha nọ na Bet Ashbea
The sonnes of Shelah, the sonne of Iudah were Er the father of Lecah, and Laadah the father of Mareshah, and the families of the householdes of them that wrought fine linnen in the house of Ashbea.
22 na Jokim, ndị ikom Koziba, na Joash na Saraf, ndị chịrị na Moab na Jashubi Lehem. Aha ndị a sitere nʼakwụkwọ akụkọ mgbe ochie.
And Iokim and the men of Chozeba and Ioash, and Saraph, which had the dominion in Moab, and Iashubi Lehem. These also are auncient things.

These were potters, and dwelt among plants and hedges: there they dwelt with the king for his worke.
24 Simiọn mụrụ Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zera na Shaul.
The sonnes of Simeon were Nemuel, and Iamin, Iarib, Zerah, and Shaul,
25 Shaul mụrụ Shalum nna Mibsam. Mibsam bụkwa nna Mishma.
Whose sonne was Shallum, and his sonne, Mibsam, and his sonne Mishma.
26 Ụmụ Mishma mụrụ bụ Hamuel nwa ya, Zakua nwa ya na Shimei nwa ya.
And the sonnes of Mishma, Hamuel was his sonne, Zacchur his sonne, and Shimei his sonne.
27 Shimei mụrụ ndị ikom iri na isii, na ndị inyom isii. Ụmụnne ya ndị ikom enweghị ọtụtụ ụmụ dịka ya onwe ya. Nʼihi ya, ndị ikwu ya adịghị ukwu nʼọnụọgụgụ dịka ndị ọzọ na Juda.
And Shimei had sixteene sonnes, and sixe daughters, but his brethren had not many children, neither was all their familie like to the children of Iudah in multitude.

And they dwelt at Beer-sheba, and at Moladah, and at Hazar Shual,
29 Bilha, Ezem, Tolad,
And at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad,
30 Betuel, Homa, Ziklag,
And at Bethuel, and at Hormah, and at Ziklag,
31 Bet-Makabot, Haza-Susim, Bet-Biri na Shaaraim. Ọ bụ ha bi nʼobodo ndị a niile tutu ruo nʼoge ọchịchị Devid.
And at Beth-marcaboth, and at Hazar Susim, at Beth-birei, and at Shaaraim, these were their cities vnto the reigne of Dauid.

And their townes were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, fiue cities.
33 tinyere obodo nta niile gbara obodo ndị a gburugburu ruo na Baalat. Ndị a bụ ebe obibi ha. Ha nwekwara akwụkwọ usoro ọmụmụ.
And all their townes that were rounde about these cities vnto Baal, These are their habitations and the declaration of their genealogie,
34 Meshobab, Jamlek, Josha nwa Amazaya,
And Meshobab, and Iamlech, and Ioshah the sonne of Amashiah,
35 Juel, Jehu nwa Joshibaya, nwa Seraya, nwa Asiel,
And Ioel and Iehu the sonne of Ioshibiah, the sonne of Seraiah, the sonne of Asiel,
36 nakwa Elioenai, Jaakoba, Jeshohaya, Asaya, Adiel, Jesimiel na Benaya,
And Elionai, and Iaakobah, and Ieshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Iesimiel, and Benaiah,
37 na Ziza nwa Shifi, nwa Alon, nwa Jedaya, nwa Shimri, nwa Shemaya.
And Ziza the sonne of Shiphei, the sonne of Allon, the sonne of Iedaiah, the sonne of Shimri, the sonne of Shemaiah.
38 Ndị ikom ndị a e depụtara aha ha bụ ndị ndu ikwu ha. Ezinaụlọ ha mụbara nke ukwuu,
These were famous princes in their families, and increased greatly their fathers houses.
39 ha gakwara na mpụta Gedoa nʼakụkụ ọwụwa anyanwụ ndagwurugwu ịchọrọ igwe anụ ụlọ ha ebe ịta nri.
And they went to the entring in of Gedor, euen vnto the East side of the valley, to seeke pasture for their sheepe.
40 Ha chọtara ebe ịta ahịhịa anụ ụlọ mara mma, nke sara mbara, nke dị jụụ, bụrụkwa ebe nsogbu na-adịghị. Ụfọdụ nʼime ụmụ Ham ebiela nʼebe ahụ na mbụ.
And they found fat pasture and good, and a wide land, both quiet and fruitfull: for they of Ham had dwelt there before.
41 Ndị ikom ndị a e dere aha ha nʼakwụkwọ usoro ọmụmụ bịara nʼoge Hezekaya na-achị dịka eze Juda. Ha busoro ụmụ Ham agha nʼebe obibi ha, busokwa ndị Meunim bi nʼebe ahụ agha, bibie ha kpamkpam, dịka ọ dị ruo taa. Emesịa ha bichiri ebe ahụ nʼihi na ebe ịta ahịhịa nke igwe anụ ụlọ ha nʼebe ahụ.
And these described by name, came in the dayes of Hezekiah king of Iudah, and smote their tents, and the inhabitants that were found there, and destroyed them vtterly vnto this day, and dwelt in their roume, because there was pasture there for their sheepe.
42 Ọzọkwa, narị ndị ikom ise nʼime ndị a si nʼebo Simiọn, ndị ndu ha bụ Pelataya, Nearaya, Refaya na Uziel, ụmụ Ishi busoro obodo ugwu ugwu Sia agha.
And besides these, fiue hundreth men of the sonnes of Simeon went to mount Seir, and Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rophaiah, and Vzziel the sonnes of Ishi were their captaines,
43 Ha gburu ndị Amalek fọdụrụ ndụ nʼebe ahụ, bichie ala ahụ ruo taa.
And they smote the rest of Amalek that had escaped, and they dwelt there vnto this day.
