1 Nke a bụ usoro ndị Izrel, dịka ọnụọgụgụ ha si dị, ndịisi ezinaụlọ, na ndị ọchịagha na-achị ọtụtụ puku ndị agha, ndị ọchịagha na-achị ọtụtụ narị ndị agha, na ndịisi ozi ha, bụ ndị na-ejere eze ozi nʼihe niile gbasara nkewa e kewara ndị agha dịka ịrụ ọrụ ha si dị nʼọnwa nʼọnwa nʼime ọnwa niile nke afọ. Nkewa ọbụla nwere ndị agha ọnụọgụgụ ha dị iri puku ndị agha abụọ na anọ.
And [these are] the children of Israel after their number; [to wit, ] the chiefs of the family divisions and the captains of the thousands and the hundreds, and their officers that served the king in every matter of the divisions, that came in and went out month by month, throughout all the months of the year, every division being twenty and four thousand.

Over the first division for the first month was Jashob'am the son of Zabdiel; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
3 O si nʼikwu Perez nke dị nʼebo Juda, ọ bụ onyeisi ndịisi agha nke ọnwa mbụ.
[He] of the children of Perez was the chief of all the captains of the armies for the first month.
4 Onyeisi nkewa nke abụọ, maka ọnwa nke abụọ bụ Dodayi, nwa Ahohi bụ onyeisi agha nkewa nke abụọ. Miklot bụ onyendu otu a, ọnụọgụgụ ndị agha dị na nkewa a bụ iri puku abụọ na anọ.
And over the division of the second month was Dodai the Achochite, and of his division was Mikloth also the ruler; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
5 Onyeisi nkewa nke atọ, maka ọnwa nke atọ bụ Benaya nwa Jehoiada, onye nchụaja. Ọ bụ onyeisi, ọnụọgụgụ ndị agha dị na nkewa ya bụ iri puku abụọ na anọ.
The third captain of the army for the third month was Benayahu the son of Jehoyada', the priest, the chief; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
6 Nke a bụ Benaya ahụ bụ dike nʼagha nʼetiti iri ndịisi agha atọ, ma bụrụkwa onye na-achị iri ndị agha atọ ahụ. Amizabad nwa ya ka e tinyere ilekọta nkewa nke atọ a.
This Benayahu was the mighty among the thirty, and [set] over the thirty'; and of his division was 'Ammizabad his son.
7 Onyeisi nkewa nke anọ, maka ọnwa nke anọ bụ Asahel, nwanne Joab. Zebadaya nwa bụ onye nnọchiri anya ya. Ọnụọgụgụ ndị agha dị na nkewa ya bụ iri puku abụọ na anọ. Zebadaya nwa ya, nọchiri anya ya mgbe ọ nwụrụ.
The fourth for the fourth month was 'Assahel the brother of Joab, with Zebadyah his son after him; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
8 Onyeisi nkewa nke ise, maka ọnwa nke ise bụ Shamhut onye Izha. Ọnụọgụgụ ndị agha dị na nkewa ya bụ iri puku abụọ na anọ.
The fifth for the fifth month was the captain Shamhuth the Yizrachite; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
9 Onyeisi nkewa nke isii, maka ọnwa nke isii bụ Ira nwa Ikesh, onye Tekoa, bụ onyeisi agha nkewa nke isii. Ọnụọgụgụ ndị agha dị na nkewa ya bụ iri puku abụọ na anọ.
The sixth for the sixth month was 'Ira the son of 'Ikkesh the Theko'ite; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
10 Onyeisi nkewa nke asaa, maka ọnwa nke asaa bụ Helez onye Pelon. Onye sitere nʼikwu Ifrem. Ọnụọgụgụ ndị agha dị na nkewa ya bụ iri puku abụọ na anọ.
The seventh for the seventh month was Chelez the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
11 Onyeisi nkewa nke asatọ, maka ọnwa nke asatọ bụ Sibekai onye Husha. Onye sitere nʼikwu Zera. Ọnụọgụgụ ndị agha dị na nkewa ya bụ iri puku abụọ na anọ.
The eighth for the eighth month was Sibbechai the Chushathite, of the Zarchites: and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
12 Onyeisi nkewa nke itoolu, maka ọnwa nke itoolu bụ Abieza onye Anatot. Onye sitere nʼikwu Benjamin. Ọnụọgụgụ ndị agha dị na nkewa ya bụ iri puku abụọ na anọ.
The ninth for the ninth month was Abi'ezer the 'Anthothite, of Benjamin; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
13 Onyeisi nkewa nke iri, maka ọnwa nke iri bụ Maharai onye Netofa, site nʼikwu Zera. Ọnụọgụgụ ndị agha dị na nkewa ya bụ iri puku abụọ na anọ.
The tenth for the tenth month was Maharai the Netophathite, of the Zarchites; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
14 Onyeisi nkewa nke iri na otu, maka ọnwa nke iri na otu bụ Benaya onye Piraton, nke ikwu Ifrem. Ọnụọgụgụ ndị agha dị na nkewa ya bụ iri puku abụọ na anọ.
The eleventh for the eleventh month was Benayah the Pir'athonite, of the children of Ephraim; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
15 Onyeisi nkewa nke iri na abụọ, maka ọnwa nke iri na abụọ bụ Heldai onye Netofa. Onye sitere nʼezinaụlọ Otniel. Ọnụọgụgụ ndị agha dị na nkewa ya bụ iri puku abụọ na anọ.
The twelfth for the twelfth month was Cheldai the Netophathite, of 'Othniel; and in his division were twenty and four thousand.
16 Ndị a bụ ndị ndu ebo Izrel niile: Elieza nwa Zikri bụ onyendu ndị Ruben; Shefataya nwa Maaka bụ onyendu ndị Simiọn;
Moreover over the tribes of Israel: Of the Reubenites was ruler Eli'ezer the son of Zichri; of the Simeonites, Shephatyahu the son of Ma'achah;
17 Hashabaya nwa Kemuel bụ onyendu ndị Livayị; Zadọk bụ onyendu ụmụ Erọn;
Of the Levites, Chashabyah the son of Kamuel; of [the sons of] Aaron, Zadok;
18 Elihu nwanne Devid bụ onyendu ndị Juda; Omri nwa Maikel bụ onyendu ndị Isaka;
Of Judah, Elihu, one of the brothers of David; of Issachar, 'Omri the son of Michael;
19 Ishmaya nwa Ọbadaya bụ onyendu ndị Zebụlọn; Jerimot nwa Azriel bụ onyendu ndị Naftalị;
Of Zebulun, Yishma'yahu the son of 'Obadyahu; of Naphtali, Jerimoth the son of 'Azriel;
20 Hoshea nwa Azazaya bụ onyendu ndị Ifrem; Juel nwa Pedaya bụ onyendu ọkara ebo Manase;
Of the children of Ephraim, Hoshea, the son of 'Azazyahu; of the half tribe of Menasseh, Joel the son of Pedayahu;
21 Ido nwa Zekaraya bụ onyendu ọkara ebo Manase nke ọzọ dị na Gilead; Jaasiel nwa Abna bụ onyendu ndị Benjamin;
Of the half tribe of Menasseh in Gil'ad, Yiddo the son of Zecharyahu; of Benjamin, 'Ja'assiel the son of Abner;
22 Azarel nwa Jeroham bụ onyendu ndị Dan. Ndị a niile bụ ndị ndu ebo Izrel niile.
Of Dan, 'Azarel the son of Jerocham. These were the princes of the tribes of Israel.
23 Mgbe Devid gụrụ ụmụ Izrel ọnụ. Ọ gụghị ndị gbara site nʼiri afọ abụọ gbadaa ala, nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị kwere nkwa ime ka ọnụọgụgụ ụmụ Izrel baa ụba dịka kpakpando eluigwe.
But David took not their number from twenty years old and under; because the Lord had said he would multiply Israel like the stars of the heavens.
24 Joab nwa Zeruaya, agụchaghị mmadụ niile ọnụ nʼihi na Chineke tara Izrel ahụhụ nʼihi ịgụ ọnụ a. Ya mere, e denyeghị ọnụọgụgụ mmadụ ole a gụtara nʼakwụkwọ akụkọ Devid eze Izrel nwere.
Joab the son of Zeruyah began to number [them]; but he finished not, and there came wrath because of it against Israel: and the number was not entered in the account of the chronicles of king David.
25 Azmavet nwa Adiel, bụ onye na-elekọta ụlọ ịchịkọta ihe eze. Ma Jonatan nwa Ụzaya bụ onyeisi ndị na-ahụ maka ụlọ nchịkọta ihe dị nʼakụkụ ala ahụ niile, ma nʼobodo ukwu, ma nʼobodo nta, ma nʼụlọ nche ndị Izrel niile.
And over the king's treasures was 'Azmaveth the son of 'Adiel; and over the storehouses in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, was Jehonathan the son of 'Uzziyahu.
26 Ezri nwa Kelub bụ onye na-elekọta ubi eze na ndị na-arụ ọrụ nʼime ya.
And over those that did the work of the field, in the tillage of the ground, was 'Ezri the son of Kelub.
27 Shimei onye Ramat na-elekọta ubi vaịnị niile. Otu a kwa, Zabdi onye Sifma ka ọ dị nʼaka imepụta mmanya na ichekwa ha.
And over the vineyards was Shim'i the Ramathite; and over what was in the vineyards, as regardeth the supplies of wine, was Zabdi the Shiphmite.
28 Baal-Hanan onye Gedera na-elekọta ubi oliv na osisi sikamọ eze, nke dị nʼoke ala ndị Filistia na Izrel. Joash ka ọ dị nʼaka iweta mmanụ oliv.
And over the olive-trees and the sycamore-trees that were in the lowlands was Ba'al-chanan the Gederite: and over the supplies of oil was Jo'ash.
29 Shitrai onye Sharọn na-elekọta igwe ehi eze ndị na-ata nri na Sharọn. Shafat nwa Adlai na-elekọta igwe ehi ndị nke dị nʼala ndagwurugwu.
And over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite; and over the herds that were in the valleys was Shaphat the son of 'Adlai.
30 Obil onye Ishmel nwe ilekọta ịnyịnya kamel eze. Jehdeia onye Meronot na-elekọta ịnyịnya ibu.
And over the camels was Obil the Ishma'elite; and over the she-asses was Yechdeyahu the Meronothite.
31 Jaziz onye Haga bụ onyeisi na-elekọta igwe atụrụ. Ndị a niile bụ ndịisi na-elekọta akụ niile nke eze Devid nwere.
And over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagerene. All these were the rulers of the property which belonged to king David.
32 Jonatan nwanne nna Devid bụ onye ndụmọdụ na nwoke nwere ezi nghọta. Ọ bụkwa ode akwụkwọ. Jehiel nwa Hakmoni bụ onye na-elekọta ụmụ eze ndị ikom.
Also Jonathan David's uncle was a counsellor, being a man of understanding and acquainted with law; and Jeshiel the son of Chachmoni was with the king's sons;
33 Ahitofel bụ onye na-adụ eze ọdụ. Hushaị onye Akai bụ enyi eze.
And Achithophel was the king's counsellor; and Chushai the Arkite was the king's friend;
34 Mgbe Ahitofel nwụrụ, Jehoiada nwa Benaya na Abịata nọchiri anya ya. Joab bụ ọchịagha igwe ndị agha eze.
And after Achithophel [came] Jehoyada' the son of Benayahu and Ebyathar; and the captain of the king's army was Joab.
