1 Izrel mụrụ ụmụ ndị ikom ndị a: Ruben, Simiọn, Livayị, Juda, Isaka, na Zebụlọn,
These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,
2 Dan, Josef, Benjamin, Naftalị, Gad na Asha.
Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
3 Juda mụtara ụmụ ndị ikom atọ site na nwunye ya Bat-shua, onye Kenan. Aha ha bụ Ịa, Onan na Shela. Ma Ịa ọkpara Juda bụ nnọọ mmadụ ọjọọ nʼihu Onyenwe anyị, nʼihi ya, Onyenwe anyị gburu ya.
The sons of Judah: 'Er, and Onan, and Shelah, the three [who] were born unto him of the daughter of Shua' the Canaanitess. And 'Er, the first-born of Judah, was evil in the eyes of the Lord: and he slew him.

And Thamar his daughter-in-law bore unto him Perez and Zerach. All the sons of Judah were five.

The sons of Perez: Chezron and Chamul.
6 Zera mụrụ: Zimri, na Etan, na Heman, na Kalkol, na Dara. Ha dị ndị ikom ise nʼọnụọgụgụ.
And the sons of Zerach: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara'; all of them five.

12 Boaz amụta Obed, Obed amụọ Jesi.
And Bo'az begat 'Obed, and 'Obed begat Jesse,

And Ishai begat his first-born Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shim'a the third,

Ozem the sixth, David the seventh;

And their sisters were Zeruyah, and Abigayil. And the sons of Zeruyah: Abshai, and Joab, and 'Assahel, three.
17 Abigel, nwunye Jeta onye Ishmel mụrụ Amasa.
And Abigayil bore 'Amassa: and the father of 'Amassa was Jether the Ishme'elite.
18 Kaleb nwa Hezrọn lụrụ ụmụ nwanyị abụọ, Azuba na Jeriọt. Ọ mụrụ ụmụ ndị ikom ndị a Jesha, Shobab na Adọn.
And Caleb the son of Chezron begat [children] of 'Azubah his wife, and of Jeri'oth; and these are her sons: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.
19 Mgbe Azuba nwụrụ, Kaleb lụrụ nwunye ọzọ. Aha ya bụ Efrat, onye mụtaara ya Hua.
And 'Azubah died, when Caleb took unto himself Ephrath, who bore unto him Chur.
20 Hua mụrụ Uri, Uri mụtara Bezalel.
And Chur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezalel.
21 Mgbe Hezrọn gbara iri afọ isii, ọ lụrụ ada Makia onye mụtaara ya Segub. Makia bụ nna Gilead.
And afterward came Chezron to the daughter of Machir the father of Gil'ad, and he took her [for wife] when he was sixty years old: and she bore unto him Segub.

And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gil'ad.

But Geshur and Aram took the small towns of Jair from them, with Kenath, and the villages thereof, even sixty cities. All these [belonged to] the sons of Machir the father of Gil'ad.
24 Mgbe Hezrọn nwụrụ nʼobodo Kaleb Efrata, Abija nwunye Hezrọn mụtaara ya Ashua, onye bụ nna Tekoa.
And after Chezron was dead in Calebephratah, then bore Chezron's wife Abiyah unto him Ashchur the father of Thekoa'.
25 Jerameel ọkpara Hezrọn mụtara Ram, onye bụ ọkpara ya, mụọkwa Buna, na Oren, na Ozem, na Ahija.
And the sons of Jerachmeel the first-born of Chezron were, Ram the first-born, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Achiyah.
26 Nwunye Jerameel nke abụọ, aha ya bụ Atara, mụtara Onam.
Yerachmeel had also another wife, whose name was 'Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
27 Ram ọkpara Jerameel mụtara ụmụ ndị ikom ndị a: Maaz, na Jamin, na Eka.
And the sons of Ram the first-born of Jerachmeel were, Ma'az, and Jamin, and 'Eker.
28 Ụmụ Onam mụrụ bụ Shamai, na Jada. Shamai mụkwara Nadab, na Abishua.
And the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada'. And the sons of Shammai: Nadab, and Abishur.
29 Abishua na nwunye ya Abihail mụrụ Aban, na Molid.
And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abichayil, and she bore unto him Achban, and Molid.
30 Ụmụ Nadab mụrụ bụ Seled, na Apaim. Seled nwụrụ na-amụtaghị nwa ọbụla.
And the sons of Nadab: Seled, and Appayim; and Seled died without children.
31 Ma Apaim mụtara Ishi. Ishi mụrụ Sheshan, Sheshan amụtakwa Alai.
And the sons of Appayim: Yish'i. And the sons of Yish'i: Sheshan. And the sons of Sheshan: Achlai.
32 Jada nwanne Shamai mụtara ụmụ ndị ikom abụọ, Jeta na Jonatan. Jeta amụtaghị nwa ọbụla,
And the sons of Jada' the brother of Shammai: Jether, and Jonathan; and Jether died without children.
33 ma Jonatan mụtara ụmụ ndị ikom abụọ: Pelet na Zaza. Ndị a bụ ụmụ Jerameel.
And the sons of Jonathan: Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerachmeel.
34 Sheshan mụtara ọtụtụ ụmụ nwanyị, ma o nweghị nwa nwoke. O nwere otu ohu bụ onye Ijipt, aha ya bụ Jaha.
Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarcha'.
35 O weere ada ya nwanyị nye odibo ya bụ Jaha, ka ọ bụrụ nwunye ya. Ọ mụtara ya otu nwa nwoke aha ya bụ Atai.
And Sheshan gave his daughter unto Jarcha' his servant for wife: and she bore unto him 'Attai.
36 Atai mụrụ Netan, Netan mụrụ Zabad,
And 'Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad.
37 Zabad amụọ Eflal. Nwa Eflal bụ Obed,
And Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat 'Obed.
38 ma Obed mụrụ Jehu. Jehu amụọ Azaraya.
And 'Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat 'Azaryah,
39 Azaraya bụ nna Helez, Helez mụrụ Eleasa.
And 'Azaryah begat Chelez, and Chelez begat El'assah,
40 Eleasa mụrụ Sismai, Sismai amụọ Shalum.
And El'assah begat Sissmai, and Sissmai begat Shallum.
41 Shalum bụ nna Jekamaya, ebe Jekamaya mụrụ Elishama.
And Shallum begat Jekamyah, and Jekamyah begat Elishama'.
42 Ụmụ ndị ikom Kaleb nwanne Jerameel bụ Mesha onye bụ ọkpara ya, nna Zif, onye mụrụ Maresha nna Hebrọn.
Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerachmeel were, Mesha', his first-born, who was the father of Ziph, and of the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.
43 Hebrọn mụrụ ndị a: Kora, Tapụọa, Rekem na Shema.
And the sons of Hebron: Korach, and Thappuach, and Rekem, and Shema'.
44 Shema mụrụ Raham, onye bụ nna Jokean. Rekem mụrụ Shamai.
And Shema' begat Racham, the father of Jorke'am; and Rekem begat Shammai.
45 Ọkpara Shamai bụ Maon, onye mụrụ Bet Zoa.
And the son of Shammai was Ma'on; and Ma'on was the father of Beth-zur.
46 Efaa, iko nwanyị Kaleb, mụtaara ya Haran, Moza na Gazez. Haran mụtakwara nwa ọ kpọrọ aha ya Gazez.
And 'Ephah, Caleb's concubine, bore Charan, and Moza, and Gazez; and Charan begat Gazez.
47 Jadia mụtara ndị ikom ndị a: Regem, Jotam, Gesham, Pelet, Efaa na Shaaf.
And the sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Gesham, and Pelet, and 'Ephah, and Sha'aph.
48 Maaka, iko nwanyị ọzọ Kaleb nwere mụtaara ya ndị a: Sheba na Tiahana,
Ma'achah, Caleb's concubine, bore Sheber, and Tirchanah.
49 ọ mụtakwara Shaaf, onye bụ nna Madmanna, Sheva nna Makbena, tinyere Gibea. Aha nwa nwanyị Kaleb mụtara bụ Aksa.
She bore also! Sha'aph the father of Madmannah. Sheva the father of Machbena, and the father of Gib'a: ! and the daughter of Caleb was 'Achsah.
50 Ndị a bụ ụmụ Kaleb. Ụmụ Hua, ọkpara Efrata mụrụ bụ, Shobal, nna Kiriat Jearim,
These were the sons of Caleb: Benchur, the first-born of Ephratah, Shobal the father of Kiryath-ye'arim,
51 Salma nna Betlehem, na Haref, nna Bet-Gadea.
Salma the father of Beth-lechem, Chareph the father of Beth-gader.
52 Ụmụ Shobal nna Kiriat Jearim mụrụ bụ Haroe, onye mụrụ ọkara ndị ikwu Menuhot.
And Shobal the father of Kir'yath-ye'arim had sons: Haroeh, and Chazi-hammenuchoth.
53 Ya mụtakwara ndị ikwu Kiriat Jearim, ndị Itra, ndị Put, ndị Shumat na ndị Mishra. Nʼime ndị a ka ndị Zorat na ndị Eshtaol si pụta.
And the families of Kir'yath-ye'arim are the Yithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishra'ites: from these came the Zor'athites, and the Eshthaulites.
54 Salma mụtara ikwu ndị a: Betlehem, ndị Netofa, ndị Atrot Bet Joab, ụfọdụ ndị Manaha na ndị Zoa.
The sons of Salma: Beth-lechem, and the Netophathites, 'Ataroth of the house of Joab, and Chazi-hammanachthi, the Zor'ite.
55 Ụfọdụ ha bụ ikwu ndị ode akwụkwọ, ndị bi nʼobodo Jabez: ndị Tirait, na ndị Shimea, na ndị Suka. Ndị a niile bụ ndị Ken, ndị sitere nʼagbụrụ Hamat, nna ndị ikwu Rekab.
And the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez: the Thirathites, the Shim'athites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came from Chammath, the father of the house of Rechab.
