And it canto to pass, after this, that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them, —and took Gath and her villages, out of the hand of the Philistines.
2 Devid merikwara ndị Moab, ha ghọrọ ndị ohu ya, na-ebutakwara ya ụtụ kwa afọ ọbụla.
And he smote Moab, —and the Moabites became servants to David, bearers of a present.
3 Devid merikwara Hadadeza eze Zoba, na nso Hamat, mgbe ọ na-aga iguzobe ogidi eji mara ya nʼakụkụ osimiri Yufretis.
And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah, towards Hamath, —as he went to establish his hold of the river Euphrates.
4 Devid nwudere otu puku ịnyịnya ya na-adọkpụ ụgbọ agha, puku ndị agha asaa ndị na-agba ụgbọ agha, tinyere ndị agha ji ụkwụ eje dị iri puku abụọ. O bipụrụ akwara ụkwụ ịnyịnya ndị ahụ niile ọ dọtara nʼagha, ma hapụ naanị narị ịnyịnya.
And David captured from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, —and David destroyed all the chariots, saving that he reserved from them a hundred chariots.
5 Mgbe ndị Aram nke Damaskọs bịara inyere Hadadeza eze Zoba aka, Devid gburu iri puku ndị agha abụọ na abụọ nʼime ha.
And, when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David smote of the Syrians, twenty-two thousand men.
6 O wuru ogige ndị agha nʼalaeze ndị Aram nke Damaskọs, ndị Aram ghọrọ ndị ohu Devid, na-ewetakwara ya ụtụ ịnata ihuọma. Onyenwe anyị nyere Devid mmeri ebe ọbụla ọ gara.
And David put [garrisons] in Syria of Damascus, and so it was that the Syrians became, David’s, servants, bearers of a present, —so Yahweh gave victory to David, whithersoever he went.
7 Devid chịkọtara ọta ọlaedo nke ndịisi agha Hadadeza na-ebu na Jerusalem.
And David took the shields of gold, that were upon the servants of Hadarezer, —and brought them to Jerusalem;
8 Site na Tibhat nakwa Kun, bụ obodo ndị Hadadeza na-achị, Devid weere ọtụtụ bronz dị ukwuu, nke Solomọn ji kpụọ Osimiri bronz ahụ, ogidi niile na ngwongwo ndị ọzọ niile nke e ji bronz kpụọ.
also, from Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadarezer, David took very much bronze, —therewith, did Solomon make the sea of bronze, and the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.
9 Mgbe Tou eze Hamat nụrụ na Devid emeriela ndị agha niile nke Hadadeza, eze Zoba,
And, when Tou, king of Hamath, heard that David had smitten all the force of Hadarezer king of Zobah,
10 o zipụrụ Hadoram nwa ya nwoke, ka ọ gaa kelee eze Devid nʼihi mmeri o meriri Hadadeza nʼagha, bụ onye ya na Tou nọ nʼagha. Hadoram ji ọtụtụ akụrụngwa nke ọlaedo, nke ọlaọcha na nke bronz dị iche iche bịa.
he sent Hadoram his son unto King David, to ask after his welfare, and to bless him, because he had made war against Hadarezer and had smitten him, for, a man making wars against Tou, had been Hadarezer, —and [he had with him] all manner of vessels of gold and silver and bronze;
11 Eze Devid doro akụrụngwa ndị a niile nsọ nye Onyenwe anyị, dịka o mere ọlaọcha na ọlaedo o wetara na mba ndị a: Edọm, Moab, ndị Amọn, ndị Filistia na Amalek.
them also, did King David hallow unto Yahweh, with the silver and the gold, that he bare away from all the nations, —from Edom, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
12 Abishai nwa Zeruaya gburu puku ndị Edọm iri na asatọ na Ndagwurugwu Nnu.
Moreover, Abishai, son of Zeruiah, smote Edom, in the Valley of Salt, —eighteen thousand;
13 O wuru ogige ndị agha nʼEdọm, ndị Edọm niile ghọrọ ndị na-ejere Devid ozi. Onyenwe anyị nyere Devid mmeri ebe ọbụla ọ gara.
and set, in Edom, garrisons, and all Edom became servants unto David, —and Yahweh gave David the victory, whithersoever he went.
14 Devid chịrị ndị Izrel niile, na-emere ndị ya ihe dị mma na ihe ziri ezi.
So David reigned over all Israel, —and he was executing justice and righteousness for all his people;
15 Joab nwa Zeruaya bụ onyeisi agha ya; Jehoshafat nwa Ahilud bụ onye na-edekọta akụkọ.
and, Joab, son of Zeruiah, was over the army, —and, Jehoshaphat, son of Elihud, was recorder;
16 Zadọk nwa Ahitub, na Ahimelek nwa Abịata, bụ ndị nchụaja. Shavsha bụ ode akwụkwọ eze.
and, Zadok, son of Ahitub, and Abimelech son of Abiathar, were priests, —and, Shavsha, was scribe;
17 Benaya nwa Jehoiada bụ onyeisi ndị Keret na Pelet. Ụmụ ndị ikom Devid bụkwa ndịisi nʼọrụ eze.
and, Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, was over the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, —and, the sons of David, were first, in attendance on the king.
