< 1 Ihe E Mere 17 >
1 Mgbe Devid nọsara ahụ nʼụlọeze ya, ọ sịrị Netan onye amụma, “Lee, mụ onwe m na-ebi nʼụlọ sida, ma igbe ọgbụgba ndụ Onyenwe anyị dị nʼokpuru ụlọ ikwu.”
Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, See, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD remains under curtains.
2 Netan zaghachiri Devid, “Ihe ọbụla dị gị nʼobi, mee ya, nʼihi na Chineke nọnyeere gị.”
Then Nathan said to David, Do all that is in your heart; for God is with you.
3 Ma nʼabalị ahụ, okwu Chineke rutere Netan ntị, na-asị,
And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,
4 “Gaa gwa ohu m Devid sị ya, ‘Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru: Gị onwe gị agaghị ewuru m ụlọ ebe m ga-ebi,
Go and tell David my servant, Thus says the LORD, You shall not build me an house to dwell in:
5 nʼihi na ebibeghị m nʼụlọ site nʼụbọchị m si nʼIjipt kpọpụta Izrel ruo taa. Kama e sitela m nʼotu ọmụma ụlọ ikwu baa na nke ọzọ, sitekwa nʼotu ebe obibi gaa ebe nke ọzọ.
For I have not dwelled in an house since the day that I brought up Israel to this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.
6 Nʼebe ọbụla m na-ejegharị nʼetiti ndị Izrel niile, ọ dị mgbe m sịrị onye ọbụla nʼime ndị ndu ha, ndị m nyere iwu ka ha zụọ ndị m, sị, “Gịnị mere unu ewubereghị m ụlọ sida?”’
Wherever I have walked with all Israel, spoke I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have you not built me an house of cedars?
7 “Ma ugbu a, gwa Devid bụ ohu m, sị, ‘Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile kwuru: Mụ onwe m sitere nʼọhịa ebe ịta nri nke ụmụ anụ ụlọ, sikwa nʼebe ị na-azụ igwe ewu na atụrụ kpọpụta gị, mee gị onye na-achị ndị m Izrel.
Now therefore thus shall you say to my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that you should be ruler over my people Israel:
8 Anọnyekwara m gị nʼebe ọbụla ị gara, kpochapụ ndị iro gị niile site nʼihu gị. Ugbu a, aga m eme ka aha gị dịka aha ndị ikom dịkarịsịrị ukwuu nʼụwa.
And I have been with you wherever you have walked, and have cut off all your enemies from before you, and have made you a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth.
9 Aga m ahọpụta otu ebe nʼihi ndị m Izrel, kụkwa ha dịka osisi ka ha biri nʼebe obibi nke aka ha, ka ha ghara ị bụkwa ndị a na-esogbu ọzọ. Ndị ajọ mmadụ agaghị emegbukwa ha dịka ha mere na mbụ,
Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,
10 dịka ha na-emekwa siterị na mgbe m họpụtara ndị ndu nye ndị m Izrel. Aga m eme ka ndị iro gị niile nọrọ nʼokpuru gị. “‘Ana m ekwupụtara gị na Onyenwe anyị ga-ewuru gị ụlọ.
And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all your enemies. Furthermore I tell you that the LORD will build you an house.
And it shall come to pass, when your days be expired that you must go to be with your fathers, that I will raise up your seed after you, which shall be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom.
12 Ọ bụ ya onwe ya ga-ewuru m ụlọ, aga m emekwa ka ocheeze ya guzosie ike ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
He shall build me an house, and I will establish his throne for ever.
13 Mụ onwe m ga-abụrụ ya nna, ya onwe ya ga-abụkwara m nwa. Agaghị m ewezuga ịhụnanya m site nʼebe ọ nọ, dịka m mere onye bu gị ụzọ chịa.
I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before you:
14 Aga m eme ka ọ chịa ụlọ m na nʼalaeze m ruo mgbe ebighị ebi. A ga-emekwa ka ocheeze ya bụrụ ihe guzosiri ike ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.’”
But I will settle him in my house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for ever more.
15 Netan ziri Devid ozi dịka okwu niile nke ọhụ ahụ si dị.
According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak to David.
16 Mgbe ahụ, eze Devid banyere nọdụ ala nʼihu Onyenwe anyị, sị: “Onye ka m bụ, Onyenwe anyị Chineke, gịnịkwa ka ezinaụlọ m bụ, na ị mere ka m bịaruo nʼogogo ha otu a?
And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I, O LORD God, and what is my house, that you have brought me till now?
17 O Chineke m, dịka a ga-asị na nke a bụ ihe dị nta nʼanya gị, ugbu a, i kwuola banyere ọdịnihu nke ụlọ ohu gị. Ma gị onwe gị Onyenwe anyị Chineke na-ele m anya dịka a ga-asị na m bụ onye ọnọdụ ya dị elu karịchasịa nke ụmụ mmadụ niile.
And yet this was a small thing in your eyes, O God; for you have also spoken of your servant’s house for a great while to come, and have regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.
18 “Gịnị ọzọ ka Devid ga-agwa gị, nʼihi nsọpụrụ i nyere ohu gị? Nʼihi na ị maara ohu gị nke ọma,
What can David speak more to you for the honor of your servant? for you know your servant.
19 O Onyenwe anyị, nʼihi okwu gị na dịka ọchịchọ obi gị si dị, i meela ihe a dị ukwuu, meekwa ka ọ mata nkwa ndị a niile dị ukwuu.
O LORD, for your servant’s sake, and according to your own heart, have you done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.
20 “Onyenwe anyị, ọ dịghị onye dịka gị, ọ dịkwaghị Chineke ọzọ dị ma ọ bụghị gị, dịka anyị nụrụ ya na ntị anyị.
O LORD, there is none like you, neither is there any God beside you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
21 Olee ndị dịka ndị gị, bụ Izrel, bụ otu mba nʼelu ụwa ndị Chineke ha gara ịgbapụtara onwe ya ka ọ bụrụ otu ndị, na iji mere onwe gị aha, rụọkwa ọrụ ịtụnanya dị egwu dịkwa ukwuu nʼihi ha, site nʼịchụpụ mba dị iche iche na chi niile ha site nʼihu ndị gị, bụ ndị ị gbapụtara site nʼIjipt?
And what one nation in the earth is like your people Israel, whom God went to redeem to be his own people, to make you a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before your people whom you have redeemed out of Egypt?
22 I mere ka ndị gị Izrel bụrụ ndị nke gị ruo mgbe ebighị ebi. Gị onwe gị kwa, Onyenwe anyị, abụrụla Chineke ha.
For your people Israel did you make your own people for ever; and you, LORD, became their God.
23 “Ma ugbu a, Onyenwe anyị, mee ka nkwa a nke i kwere banyere ohu gị na ụlọ ya bụrụ nke ga-eguzosie ike ruo mgbe ebighị ebi. Mezukwaa ihe niile dịka nkwa gị si dị,
Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that you have spoken concerning your servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as you have said.
24 ka o nwee ike guzosie ike. Ka aha gị bụrụ ihe dị ukwuu ruo mgbe ebighị ebi. Mgbe ahụ ndị mmadụ ga-asị, ‘Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile, Chineke nke na-achị Izrel, bụ Chineke Izrel.’ A ga-emekwa ka ụlọ ohu gị Devid guzosie ike nʼihu gị.
Let it even be established, that your name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David your servant be established before you.
25 “Gị onwe gị, Chineke m, e kpugheerela ohu gị na ị ga-ewuru ya ụlọ. Ya mere, ohu gị ji nwee obi ike ikpere gị ekpere.
For you, O my God, have told your servant that you will build him an house: therefore your servant has found in his heart to pray before you.
26 Gị onwe gị, Onyenwe anyị, bụ Chineke. I kweekwala ohu gị nkwa ihe ọma ndị a.
And now, LORD, you are God, and have promised this goodness to your servant:
27 Ugbu a, ọ masịrị gị ịgọzi ụlọ ohu gị, ime ka ọ dịrị na-aga nʼihu gị ruo mgbe ebighị ebi, nʼihi na gị Onyenwe anyị, agọziela ya. Ọ ga-abụkwa ihe a gọziri agọzi ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.”
Now therefore let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may be before you for ever: for you bless, O LORD, and it shall be blessed for ever.
