Once David had finished building houses for himself in the City of David, he made a place for the Ark of God and set up a tent there.
2 Devid kwuru sị, “O nweghị onye ọbụla ga-ebu igbe Chineke karịakwa ndị Livayị, nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị họpụtara ha ibu igbe Onyenwe anyị na ije ozi nʼihu Onyenwe anyị ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.”
Then he gave orders: “Nobody is to carry the Ark of God except the Levites, for the Lord himself chose them to carry the Ark of the Lord and to serve him forever.”
3 Ya mere, Devid kpọkọtara ndị Izrel niile, na Jerusalem ibubata igbe Onyenwe anyị nʼebe ahụ ọ kwadoro na a ga-adọsa ya.
David summoned all of Israel to Jerusalem to bring the Ark of the Lord to the place he'd prepared for it.
4 Ọ kpọkọtara ụmụ Erọn na ndị Livayị:
This is the list of the Levites, the sons of Aaron, that David called to attend:

11 Devid kpọrọ Zadọk na Abịata, ndị nchụaja na Uriel, Asaya, Juel, Shemaya, Eliel, na Aminadab ndị Livayị sị ha,
Then David summoned the priests Zadok and Abiathar, and the Levites Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab.
12 “Unu bụ ndịisi ezinaụlọ dị iche iche, nʼebo Livayị. Doonụ onwe unu nsọ unu na ụmụnna unu ibulata igbe ọgbụgba ndụ Onyenwe anyị, Chineke Izrel nʼebe a m doziri nʼihi ya.
He told them, “You are the heads of the Levite families. You must make yourselves and your relatives ceremonially clean and pure before you bring back the Ark of God, the Lord of Israel to the place I have made for it.
13 Na mbụ, Onyenwe anyị Chineke tara anyị ahụhụ nʼihi na anyị esoghị omenaala ime ka unu bụ ndị Livayị buru ya. Anyị ajụtaghị ya ase otu a ga-esi bulata ya nʼụzọ o kwesiri.”
Because you weren't there the first time to carry the Ark the Lord our God burst out in violence against us. We didn't treat it in accordance with his instructions.”
14 Ya mere, ndị nchụaja na ndị Livayị mezuru omenaala ido onwe ha nsọ maka ibulata igbe ọgbụgba ndụ Onyenwe anyị, Chineke Izrel ahụ.
So the priests and the Levites purified themselves so that they could bring back the Ark of the Lord, the God of Israel.
15 Ndị Livayị jiri osisi ogologo buru igbe Chineke ahụ nʼisi ubu aka ha dịka Mosis nyere nʼiwu nʼusoro dịka okwu Onyenwe anyị si dị.
Then the Levites carried the Ark of God in the way that Moses had ordered, according to what God had said—on their shoulders using the special carrying poles.
16 Devid nyekwara ndị ndu Livayị iwu sị ka ha họpụta site nʼetiti ụmụnna ha ndị abụ na ndị egwu, ndị ga-abụ abụ ọṅụ, nke ya na ngwa egwu ndị a ga-eso: ụbọ akwara, une na ogene.
David also instructed the leaders of the Levites to assign from their relatives singers who would sing loudly for joy, accompanied by musicians playing lyres, and harps, and cymbals.
17 Ndị Livayị họpụtara Heman nwa Juel; ma site nʼetiti ụmụnna Juel ha họpụtara Asaf, nwa Berekaya. Sitekwa nʼetiti ụmụnna ha ndị Merari ha họpụtara Etan nwa Kushaya,

Kenaniah, the leader of the Levites in singing, was chosen to lead the music because of his ability.
23 Berekaya na Elkena bụ ndị na-eche ọnụ ụzọ ebe igbe ahụ dị.
Berechiah and Elkanah were appointed to guard the Ark.

Then David, the elders of Israel, and the senior army commanders, went with great celebration to bring back the Ark of the Lord's Agreement from the home of Obed-Edom.
26 Nʼihi na Chineke nyeere ndị Livayị na-ebu igbe ọgbụgba ndụ Onyenwe anyị aka, ọ bụ oke ehi asaa na ebule asaa ka a chụrụ nʼaja.
Because God helped the Levites who carried the Ark of the Lord's Agreement, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.
27 Ọ bụ ezi akwa ọcha ka e ji kee Devid ekike, dịka ndị Livayị niile bụ ndị bu igbe ọgbụgba ndụ ahụ, na ndị ọbụ abụ, na Kenaniya, bụ onyeisi otu ndị na-abụ abụ yi akwa ọcha nʼahụ ha. Devid yikwa uwe efọọd e ji akwa ọcha dụọ.
David wore a robe of fine linen like all the Levites who were carrying the Ark, and the singers and Kenaniah the leader of the music and singers. David also wore a linen ephod.
28 Ya mere, ndị Izrel niile ji iti mkpu, na-ịfụ opi mpi ebule na-ịfụ opi ike, ịkpọ ụbọ akwara, ịkụ ogene na une, bulata igbe ọgbụgba ndụ Onyenwe anyị.
So all of Israel brought back the Ark of the Lord's Agreement with a lot of shouting, accompanied by horns, trumpets, and cymbals, and music played on harps and lyres.
29 Mgbe ha bu igbe ọgbụgba ndụ Onyenwe anyị na-abata nʼobodo Devid, Mikal nwa Sọl, lepụrụ anya site na oghereikuku ụlọ. Mgbe ọ hụrụ eze Devid ka ọ na-ayọrị egwu na-aṅụrị ọṅụ, o ledara ya anya nʼime obi ya.
But as Ark of the Lord's Agreement entered the City of David, Saul's daughter Michal looked down from a window. Seeing David the king jumping and dancing for joy, she was full of contempt for him.
