1 Te pedig azt hirdesd, ami az egészséges tanításnak megfelel,
But speak you those things which become healthy teaching.
2 hogy az idős emberek józanok legyenek, tisztességesek, mértékletesek, a hitben, szeretetben, állhatatosságban egészségesek.
That the elderly men be sober, grave, prudent, sound in faith, in divine love, in patience:
3 Hasonlóképen az idős asszonyok is szentekhez illően viselkedjenek, ne legyenek patvarkodók, sem a mértéktelen borivás rabjai, hanem tanítsanak a jóra.
likewise that the elderly women be reverent in demeanor, not tattlers, not given to much wine, teachers of that which is good;
4 Oktassák a fiatal asszonyokat, hogy férjüket és gyermekeiket szeressék.
in order that they instruct the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 Legyenek mértékletesek, tiszták, háziasak, jók, férjüknek engedelmesek, hogy Isten beszédét miattuk ne gyalázzák.
to be prudent, chaste, domestic, good, submissive to their own husbands, in order that the word of God may not be blasphemed.
6 Az ifjakat hasonlóképen intsd, hogy legyenek mértékletesek.
Likewise exhort the young men to be prudent:
7 Te magad légy példaképük a jó cselekedetekben, mutass nekik a tanításban romlatlanságot, komolyságot,
concerning all things exhibiting yourself an example of good works; in teaching; purity, gravity,
8 egészséges, feddhetetlen beszédet, hogy az ellenfél megszégyenüljön, mivel semmi rosszat nem tud rólatok mondani.
the sound word, irrefutable, in order that the adversary may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say concerning us.
9 A szolgákat intsd, hogy uruknak engedelmeskedjenek, mindenben kedvüket keressék, ne ellenkezzenek,
That servants submit to their own masters, that they be obedient in all things; not speaking back;
10 ne lopkodjanak, hanem teljes és igaz hűséget tanúsítsanak, hogy megtartó Istenünk tanításának mindenben díszére váljanak.
not purloining, but exhibiting all good faith, that they may adorn the teaching of God our Saviour in all things.
11 Mert megjelent Isten üdvözítő kegyelme minden embernek,
For the grace of God, that brings salvation to all men, has appeared,
12 amely arra tanít minket, hogy megtagadva a hitetlenséget és a világi kívánságokat, mértékletesen, igazán és szentül éljünk a jelenvaló világon, (aiōn g165)
teaching us, that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we must live prudently and righteously and holily in this present age; (aiōn g165)
13 várva azt a boldog reménységet és a nagy Istennek és a megtartó Jézus Krisztusnak dicsőséges megjelenését,
looking for the blessed hope even the appearing of the glory of our great God and our Saviour Christ Jesus;
14 aki önmagát adta értünk, hogy megváltson minket minden hamisságtól, és tisztítson magának tulajdonul olyan népet, amely jó cselekedetekre törekszik.
who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
15 Ezt hirdesd, ints, feddj teljes határozottsággal. Senki téged meg ne vessen.
Speak these things and exhort and convict with all authority; let no one despise thee.
