1 A legfontosabb azokra nézve, amiket mondunk az, hogy olyan főpapunk van, aki a mennyei Felség királyi székének jobbjára ült,
[The] sum now of the [things] being spoken of [is that] such we have a high priest who sat down at [the] right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,
2 mint a szent helynek és az igazi sátornak szolgája, amelyet az Úr és nem ember épített.
in the Holy [Places] a minister and in the tabernacle true, which has pitched the Lord, (and *k*) not man.
3 Mert minden főpapot ajándékok és áldozatok bemutatására rendelnek, ezért szükséges, hogy legyen valamije, amit áldozatul vigyen.
Every for high priest in order to offer gifts both and sacrifices is appointed; wherefore [it was] necessary to have something also [for] this One that He may offer.
4 Ha tehát a földön volna, még csak pap sem lehetne, mert már vannak papok, akik a törvény szerint áldozati ajándékokat mutatnak be,
If certainly (then *N(K)O*) He were on earth, not even then would He was being a priest while are being (*k*) (priests *K*) those offering according to (*k*) law the gifts,
5 Ezek a mennyei dolgok képmásának és árnyékának szolgálnak, ahogyan Isten mondta Mózesnek, amikor fel akarta állítani a sátort: „Meglásd – így szólt –, hogy mindent arra a mintára készíts, amelyet a hegyen láttál.“

6 Most azonban a mi főpapunk annyival kiválóbb szolgálatot nyert, amennyivel jobb szövetségnek közbenjárója, amely jobb ígéretek alapján köttetett.
(now *NK(o)*) however more excellent (He has obtained *N(k)O*) a ministry, as much as also of a better He is covenant [the] mediator, which upon better promises has been enacted.
7 Mert ha az első kifogástalan lett volna, nem került volna sor a másodikra.
If for the first that [one] was faultless, not then would for a second was being sought a place.
8 Mert megdorgálva őket így szól: „Íme, napok jönnek, ezt mondja az Úr, és Izrael házával és Júda házával új szövetséget kötök.
Finding fault for (with them *N(k)O*) He says: Behold [the] days are coming, says [the] Lord, and I will ratify with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah a covenant new,
9 Nem olyan szövetséget, amelyet kötöttem az ő atyáikkal azon a napon, amikor kézen fogtam őket, hogy kivezessem Egyiptomból. Mivel ők nem maradtak meg az én szövetségemben, azért én sem, törődtem velük“– ezt mondja az Úr.
not according to the covenant that I made the with fathers of them in [the] day of having taken hold of by Me the hand of them to lead them out of [the] land of Egypt, because they themselves not did continue in the covenant of Mine, and I myself and I myself disregarded them, says [the] Lord.
10 „Ez lesz az a szövetség, amelyet kötök Izrael házával ama napok múltán – így szól az Úr –, törvényemet adom elméjükbe, és az ő szívükbe írom be azokat, és Istenük leszek, ők pedig népem.
For this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after the days those, says [the] Lord, putting Laws of Mine into the mind of them and upon hearts of them I will inscribe them; and I will be to them for God, and they themselves will be to Me for a people.
11 Akkor senki sem tanítja az ő felebarátját és atyjafiát ezt mondva: Ismerd meg az Urat! Mert mindnyájan megismernek engem, kicsik és nagyok egyaránt.
And certainly not shall they teach each the (comrade *N(k)O*) of him and each the brother of him saying; do know the Lord,’ because all will know Me, from [the] least (of them *k*) to [the] greatest of them;
12 Mert megkegyelmezek álnokságuknak, és bűneikről és gonoszságukról nem emlékezem meg.“
because merciful I will be toward the iniquities of them and the sins of them (and the lawless acts of them *K*) certainly not I may remember more.
13 Amikor az újról beszél, óvá tette az elsőt, ami pedig elavult, közel van az enyészethez.
In saying new He has made obsolete the first; that then growing old and aging [is] near vanishing.
