1 És megmutatá nékem az élet vizének tiszta folyóját, a mely ragyogó vala, mint a kristály, az Istennek és a Báránynak királyiszékéből jővén ki
Then he showed me the river of the Water of Life, bright as crystal, issuing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 Az ő utczájának közepén. És a folyóvízen innen és túl életnek fája vala, mely tizenkét gyümölcsöt terem vala, minden hónapban meghozván gyümölcsét; és levelei a pogányok gyógyítására valók.
On either side of the river, midway between it and the main street of the city, was the Tree of Life. It produced twelve kinds of fruit, yielding a fresh crop month by month, and the leaves of the tree served as medicine for the nations.
3 És semmi elátkozott nem lesz többé; és az Istennek és a Báránynak királyiszéke benne lesz; és ő szolgái szolgálnak néki;
"In future there will be no curse," he said, "but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in that city. And His servants will render Him holy service and will see His face,
4 És látják az ő orczáját; és az ő neve homlokukon lesz.
and His name will be on their foreheads.
5 És ott éjszaka nem lesz; és nem lesz szükségök szövétnekre és napvilágra; mert az Úr Isten világosítja meg őket, és országolnak örökkön örökké. (aiōn g165)
And there will be no night there; and they have no need of lamplight or sunlight, for the Lord God will shine upon them, and they will be kings until the Ages of the Ages." (aiōn g165)
6 És monda nékem: E beszédek hívek és igazak: és az Úr, a szent próféták Istene bocsátotta el az ő angyalát, hogy megmutassa az ő szolgáinak azokat, a miknek meg kell lenni hamar.
And he said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the Prophets, sent His angel to make known to His servants the things which must soon happen.
7 Ímé eljövök hamar. Boldog, a ki megtartja e könyv prófétálásának beszédeit.
'I am coming quickly.' Blessed is he who is mindful of the predictions contained in this book."
8 És én János vagyok az, a ki ezeket hallottam és láttam: és mikor hallottam és láttam, leborulék az angyal lábai előtt, hogy őt imádjam, a ki nékem ezeket megmutatta vala.
I John heard and saw these things; and when I had heard and seen them, I fell at the feet of the angel who was showing me them--to worship him.
9 Az pedig monda nékem: Meglásd, ne tedd; mert szolgatársad vagyok néked, és a te atyádfiainak a prófétáknak, és azoknak, a kik megtartják e könyvnek beszédeit. Az Istent imádd.
But he said to me, "Oh, do not do that. I am a fellow bondservant of yours, and a fellow bondservant of your brethren the Prophets and of those who are mindful of the teachings of this book. Worship God."
10 Azután monda nékem: Be ne pecsételd e könyv prófétálásának beszédeit, mert az idő közel van.
"Make no secret," he added, "of the meaning of the predictions contained in this book; for the time for their fulfillment is now close at hand.
11 A ki igazságtalan, legyen igazságtalan ezután is; és a ki fertelmes, legyen fertelmes ezután is; és a ki igaz, legyen igaz ezután is; és a ki szent, szenteltessék meg ezután is.
Let the dishonest man act dishonestly still; let the filthy make himself filthy still; let the righteous practise righteousness still; and let the holy be made holy still."
12 És ímé hamar eljövök; és az én jutalmam velem van, hogy megfizessek mindenkinek, a mint az ő cselekedete lesz.
"I am coming quickly; and My reward is with Me, that I may requite every man in accordance with what his conduct has been.
13 Én vagyok az Alfa és az Omega, a kezdet és a vég, az első és utolsó.
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
14 Boldogok, a kik megtartják az ő parancsolatait, hogy joguk legyen az életnek fájához, és bemehessenek a kapukon a városba.
Blessed are those who wash their robes clean, that they may have a right to the Tree of Life, and may go through the gates into the city.
15 De kinn maradnak az ebek és a bűbájosok, és a paráznák és a gyilkosok, és a bálványimádók és mind a ki szereti és szólja a hazugságot.
The unclean are shut out, and so are all who practise magic, all fornicators, all murderers, and those who worship idols, and every one who loves falsehood and tells lies.
16 Én Jézus küldöttem az én angyalomat, hogy ezekről bizonyságot tegyen néktek a gyülekezetekben. Én vagyok Dávidnak ama gyökere és ága: ama fényes és hajnali csillag.
"I Jesus have sent My angel for him solemnly to declare these things to you among the Churches. I am the Root and the offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.
17 És a Lélek és a menyasszony ezt mondják: Jövel! És a ki hallja, ezt mondja: Jövel! És a ki szomjúhozik, jőjjön el; és a ki akarja, vegye az élet vizét ingyen.
The Spirit and the Bride say, 'Come;' and whoever hears, let him say, 'Come;' and let those who are thirsty come. Whoever will, let him take the Water of Life, without payment.
18 Bizonyságot teszek pedig mindenkinek, a ki e könyv prófétálásának beszédeit hallja: Hogy ha valaki ezekhez hozzá tesz, e könyvben megírt csapásokat veti Isten arra;
"I solemnly declare to every one who hears the words of the prophecy contained in this book, that if any one adds to those words, God will add to him the plagues spoken of in this book;
19 És ha valaki elvesz e prófétálás könyvének beszédeiből, az Isten annak részét eltörli az élet könyvéből, és a szent városból, és azokból, a mik e könyvben megírattak.
and that if any one takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take from him his share in the Tree of Life and in the holy city--the things described in this book.
20 Ezt mondja, a ki ezekről bizonyságot tesz: Bizony hamar eljövök. Ámen, bizony jövel Uram Jézus!
"He who solemnly declares all this says, "'Yes, I am coming quickly.'" Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
21 A mi Urunk Jézus Krisztusnak kegyelme legyen mindnyájan ti veletek. Ámen.
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people.
