1 És hallék nagy szózatot a templomból, a mely mondja vala a hét angyalnak: Menjetek el és töltsétek ki a földre az Isten haragjának hét poharát.
And I heard a great voyce out of the Temple, saying to the seuen Angels, Go your wayes, and powre out the seuen vials of the wrath of God vpon the earth.
2 Elméne azért az első, és kitölté az ő poharát a földre; és támada gonosz és ártalmas fekély azokon az embereken, a kiken vala a fenevad bélyege, és a kik imádják vala annak képét.
And the first went and powred out his viall vpon the earth: and there fell a noysome, and a grieuous sore vpon the men, which had the marke of ye beast, and vpon them which worshipped his image.
3 A másik angyal is kitölté az ő poharát a tengerbe; és olyanná lőn, mint a halott vére; és minden élő állat meghala a tengerben.
And the second Angel powred out his viall vpon the sea, and it became as the blood of a dead man: and euery liuing thing dyed in the sea.
4 A harmadik angyal is kitölté az ő poharát a folyóvizekbe és a vizek forrásaiba; és lőn vér.
And the third Angel powred out his viall vpon the riuers and fountaines of waters, and they became blood.
5 És hallám, hogy a vizek angyala ezt mondja vala: Igaz vagy Uram, a ki vagy és a ki valál, te Szent, hogy ezeket ítélted;
And I heard the Angel of the waters say, Lord, thou art iust, Which art, and Which wast: and Holy, because thou hast iudged these things.
6 Mivelhogy szentek és próféták vérét ontották, vért adál nékik inni; mert méltók arra.
For they shed the blood of the Saints, and Prophets, and therefore hast thou giuen them blood to drinke: for they are worthy.
7 És hallám, hogy más az oltárról ezt mondja vala: Jól van Uram, mindenható Isten, igazak és igazságosak a te ítéleteid.
And I heard another out of the Sanctuarie say, Euen so, Lord God almightie, true and righteous are thy iudgements.
8 A negyedik angyal is kitölté az ő poharát a napra; és adaték annak, hogy az embereket tikkaszsza tűzzel.
And the fourth Angel powred out his viall on the sunne, and it was giuen vnto him to torment men with heate of fire,
9 És tikkadának az emberek nagy hévséggel; és az Istennek nevét káromlák, a kinek hatalma vala e csapásokon; és nem térének meg, hogy neki dicsőséget adjanak.
And men boyled in great heate, and blasphemed the Name of God, which hath power ouer these plagues, and they repented not, to giue him glorie.
10 Az ötödik angyal is kitölté az ő poharát a fenevad királyiszékére; és lőn az ő országa setét; és rágják vala az ő nyelvöket a kín miatt,
And the fifth Angel powred out his viall vpon the throne of the beast, and his kingdome waxed darke, and they gnawed their tongues for sorowe,
11 És káromlák a menny Istenét az ő kínjaik és fekélyeik miatt; és meg nem térének az ő cselekedeteikből.
And blasphemed the God of heauen for their paines, and for their sores, and repented not of their workes.
12 A hatodik angyal is kitölté az ő poharát a nagy folyóvízre, az Eufrátesre; és kiszárada annak vize, hogy a napkelet felől jövő királyoknak út készíttessék.
And the sixth Angel powred out his viall vpon the great riuer Euphrates, and the water thereof dried vp, that the way of the Kings of the East should be prepared.
13 És láték a sárkány szájából és a fenevad szájából és a hamis próféta szájából három tisztátalan lelket kijőni, a békákhoz hasonlókat;
And I sawe three vncleane spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of that dragon, and out of the mouth of that beast, and out of the mouth of that false prophet.
14 Mert ördögi lelkek azok, a kik jeleket tesznek; a kik elmennek a földnek és az egész világnak királyaihoz, hogy egybe gyűjtsék azokat a mindenható Isten ama nagy napjának viadalára.
For they are the spirits of deuils, working miracles, to go vnto the Kings of the earth, and of the whole world, to gather them to the battell of that great day of God Almightie.
15 (Imé eljövök, mint a tolvaj. Boldog, a ki vigyáz és őrzi az ő ruháit, hogy mezítelenen ne járjon, és meg ne lássák az ő rútságát.)
(Beholde, I come as a theefe. Blessed is he that watcheth and keepeth his garments, least hee walke naked, and men see his filthines)
16 Egybegyűjték azért őket a helyre, a melyet zsidóul Armageddonnak neveznek.
And they gathered them together into a place called in Hebrewe Arma-gedon.
17 A hetedik angyal is kitölté az ő poharát a levegőégre; és nagy szózat jöve ki a mennyei templomból a királyiszéktől, a mely ezt mondja vala: Meglett!
And the seuenth Angel powred out his viall into the ayre: and there came a loude voyce out of the Temple of heauen from the throne, saying, It is done.
18 És lőnek zendülések és mennydörgések és villámlások; és lőn nagy földindulás, a milyen nem volt, mióta az emberek a földön vannak, ilyen földindulás, ilyen nagy.
And there were voyces, and thundrings, and lightnings, and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were vpon the earth, euen so mightie an earthquake.
19 És a nagy város három részre szakada, és a pogányok városai elesének; és a nagy Babilon megemlítteték az Isten előtt, hogy adjon annak inni az ő búsult haragja borának poharából.
And the great citie was deuided into three partes, and the cities of the nations fell: and that great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to giue vnto her the cup of the wine of the fiercenesse of his wrath.
20 És minden sziget elmúlék, és hegyek nem találtatának többé.
And euery yle fled away, and the mountaines were not found.
21 És nagy jégeső, mint egy-egy tálentom, szálla az égből az emberekre; és káromlák az Istent az emberek a jégeső csapásáért; mert annak csapása felette nagy.
And there fell a great haile, like talents, out of heauen vpon the men, and men blasphemed God, because of the plague of the haile: for the plague thereof was exceeding great.
