< Zsoltárok 83 >

1 Ének; Aszáf zsoltára. Isten, ne vesztegelj, ne hallgass és ne nyugodjál, Isten!
A SONG. A PSALM OF ASAPH. O God, let there be no silence to You, Do not be silent, nor be quiet, O God.
2 Mert ímé, háborognak ellenségeid, s gyűlölőid fejöket emelik.
For behold, Your enemies roar, And those hating You have lifted up the head,
3 Néped ellen álnok tanácsot gondolnak s védenczeid ellen terveket szőnek.
They take crafty counsel against Your people, And consult against Your hidden ones.
4 Ezt mondják: Jertek, veszessük el őket, hogy ne legyenek nemzet, hogy ne emlegessék többé Izráel nevét!
They have said, “Come, and we cut them off from [being] a nation, And the name of Israel is not remembered anymore.”
5 Mert tanácskoztak együtt, egy szívvel; szövetséget kötöttek ellened:
For they consulted in heart together, They make a covenant against You,
6 Az Edomiták és Ismáeliták sátrai, a Moábiták és Hagarénusok;
Tents of Edom, and Ishmaelites, Moab, and the Hagarenes,
7 A Gebaliták, Ammoniták és Amálekiták, a Filiszteusok Tyrus lakosaival együtt.
Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia with inhabitants of Tyre,
8 Az asszir is szövetkezett velök, segítőjévé lettek a Lót fiainak. (Szela)
Asshur is also joined with them, They have been an arm to sons of Lot. (Selah)
9 Úgy bánj velök, mint Midjánnal, mint Siserával, mint Jábinnal a Kison patakjánál!
Do to them as Midian, As Sisera, as Jabin, at the Brook of Kishon.
10 A kik elvesztek vala Endornál, és a föld szemetjévé lőnek.
They were destroyed at Endor, They were dung for the ground!
11 Tedd őket, fejedelmöket olyanokká, mint Orebet s mint Zeébet, Zebahot és Szalmunát, minden felkentjökkel,
Make their nobles as Oreb and as Zeeb, And as Zebah and Zalmunna—all their princes,
12 A kik ezt mondták: Foglaljuk el magunknak az Isten hajlékait!
Who have said, “Let us occupy the pastures of God for ourselves.”
13 Én Istenem! Tedd őket olyanokká, a milyen a porfelhő, és a milyen a polyva a szél előtt;
O my God, make them as a rolling thing, As stubble before wind.
14 Olyanokká, mint a tűz, a mely meggyújtja az erdőt, és mint a láng, a mely elégeti a hegyeket.
As a fire burns a forest, And as a flame sets hills on fire,
15 Így kergesd őket a te szélvészeddel, és forgószeleddel így rettentsd őket!
So You pursue them with Your whirlwind, And trouble them with Your windstorm.
16 Töltsd el orczájukat gyalázattal, hogy keressék Uram a te nevedet!
Fill their faces [with] shame, And they seek Your Name, O YHWH.
17 Szégyenüljenek meg és rémüljenek el örökké, és piruljanak és pusztuljanak,
They are ashamed and troubled forever, Indeed, they are confounded and lost.
18 Hogy megtudják, hogy te, a kinek neve Jehova, egymagad vagy felséges Isten az egész földön.
And they know that You—Your Name [is] YHWH—By Yourself [are] the Most High over all the earth!
