1 Az éneklőmesternek a sosannim-éduthra; Aszáf zsoltára. Oh Izráelnek pásztora, hallgass meg, a ki vezérled Józsefet, mint juhnyájat; a ki Kérubokon ülsz, jelenj meg fényeddel!
Unto the end. For those who will be changed. The testimony of Asaph. A Psalm. The One who reigns over Israel: Be attentive. For you lead Joseph like a sheep. The One who sits upon the cherubim: Shine forth
2 Efraim, Benjámin és Manasse előtt támaszd fel a te hatalmadat, és jőjj el, hogy szabadíts meg minket!
in the presence of Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh. Awaken your power and draw near, so as to accomplish our salvation.
3 Oh Isten, állíts helyre minket, és világoltasd a te orczádat, hogy megszabaduljunk.
Convert us, O God. And reveal your face, and we will be saved.
4 Seregeknek Ura, Istene: meddig haragszol a te népednek könyörgésére?
O Lord, God of hosts, how long will you be angry over the prayer of your servant?
5 Könyhullatásnak kenyerével éteted őket, s könyhullatások árjával itatod meg őket.
How long will you feed us the bread of tears, and give us to drink a full measure of tears?
6 Perpatvarrá tevél minket szomszédaink között, és a mi ellenségeink csúfkodnak rajtunk.
You have set us as a contradiction to our neighbors. And our enemies have ridiculed us.
7 Seregek Istene, állíts helyre minket; világoltasd a te orczádat, hogy megszabaduljunk!
O God of hosts, convert us. And reveal your face, and we will be saved.
8 Égyiptomból szőlőt hozál ki, kiűzéd a pogányokat és azt elültetéd.
You have transferred a vineyard from Egypt. You have cast out the Gentiles, and planted it.
9 Helyet egyengettél előtte, és gyökeret eresztett, és ellepé a földet.
You were the leader of the journey in its sight. You planted its roots, and it filled the earth.
10 Hegyeket fogott el az árnyéka, és a vesszei olyanok lettek, mint az Isten czédrusfái.
Its shadow covered the hills, and its branches covered the cedars of God.
11 Sarjait a tengerig ereszté, és hajtásait a folyamig.
It extended its new branches even to the sea, and its new seedlings even to the river.
12 Miért rontottad el annak gyepűit, hogy szaggathassa minden járókelő?
So then, why have you destroyed its walls, so that all those who pass by the way gather its grapes?

The wild boar of the forest has trampled it, and a single wild beast has laid waste to it.
14 Oh Seregek Istene! kérlek, térj vissza, tekints alá az egekből és lásd és tekintsd meg e szőlőtőt!
Turn back, O God of hosts. Look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vineyard;
15 És a csemetét, a mit jobbod ültetett, a sarjat, melyet felneveltél!
and complete what your right hand has planted, and look upon the son of man, whom you have confirmed for yourself.
16 Elégett a tűzben, levágatott; arczod haragjától elvesznek.
Whatever has been set on fire and dug under will perish at the rebuke of your countenance.
17 Legyen a te kezed a te jobbodnak férfián, és az embernek fián, a kit megerősítettél magadnak,
Let your hand be over the man on your right, and over the son of man, whom you have confirmed for yourself.
18 Hogy el ne térjünk tőled. Eleveníts meg minket és imádjuk a te nevedet.
For we do not depart from you, and you will revive us. And we will invoke your name.
19 Seregek Ura, Istene! állíts helyre minket; világoltasd a te orczádat, hogy megszabaduljunk!
O Lord, God of hosts, convert us. And reveal your face, and we will be saved.
