Zsoltárok 6

1 Az éneklőmesternek a neginóthra, a seminith szerint; Dávid zsoltára. Uram, ne feddj meg engem haragodban, és ne ostorozz engem búsulásodban.

“For the leader of the music; to be accompanied with stringed instruments; to the octave. A psalm of David.” O LORD! rebuke me not in thine anger; Chasten me not in thy hot displeasure!

2 Könyörülj rajtam Uram, mert ellankadtam: gyógyíts meg engem Uram, mert megháborodtak csontjaim!

Have pity upon me, O LORD! for I am weak; Heal me, O LORD! for my bones tremble!

3 Lelkem is igen megháborodott, és te, oh Uram, míglen?

My soul, also, is sore troubled; And thou, O LORD! how long—?

4 Térj vissza Uram, mentsd ki lelkemet, segíts meg engem kegyelmedért;

Return, O LORD! and deliver me; Oh, save me according to thy mercy!

5 Mert nincs emlékezés rólad a halálban, a seolban kicsoda dicsőít téged? (Sheol h7585)

For in death no praise is given to thee; In the underworld who can give thee thanks? (Sheol h7585)

6 Elfáradtam sóhajtozásomban, egész éjjel áztattam ágyamat, könyhullatással öntöztem nyoszolyámat.

I am weary with my groaning; All the night I make my bed to swim, And drench my couch with my tears.

7 Szemem a bánattól elbágyadt, megvénhedett minden szorongatóm miatt.

Mine eye is wasted with grief; It hath become old because of all my enemies.

8 Távozzatok tőlem mind, ti bűnt cselekedők, mert meghallgatja az Úr az én siralmam szavát.

Depart from me, all ye that do iniquity; For the LORD heareth the voice of my weeping.

9 Meghallgatja az Úr az én könyörgésemet, elfogadja az Úr az én imádságomat.

The LORD heareth my supplication; The LORD accepteth my prayer.

10 Megszégyenül majd és igen megháborodik minden ellenségem; meghátrálnak és megszégyenülnek hirtelen.

All my enemies shall be ashamed and utterly confounded; They shall be turned back, and put to shame suddenly.
