1 Az éneklőmesternek; Dávid zsoltára. Hallgasson meg téged az Úr a szükség idején; oltalmazzon meg téged a Jákób Istenének neve.

To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Jehovah answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob protect thee;

2 Küldjön néked segítséget a szent helyről; és a Sionból támogasson téged.

May he send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

3 Emlékezzék meg minden ételáldozatodról, és égőáldozataidat találja kövéreknek. (Szela)

Remember all thine oblations, and accept thy burnt-offering; (Selah)

4 Cselekedjék veled szíved szerint, és teljesítse minden szándékodat.

Grant thee according to thy heart, and fulfil all thy counsels.

5 Hogy örvendhessünk a te szabadulásodban, és a mi Istenünk nevében zászlót lobogtassunk: teljesítse az Úr minden kérésedet!

We will triumph in thy salvation, and in the name of our God will we set up our banners. Jehovah fulfil all thy petitions!

6 Most tudom, hogy az Úr megsegíti felkentjét; meghallgatja őt szent egeiből jobbjának segítő erejével.

Now know I that Jehovah saveth his anointed; he answereth him from the heavens of his holiness, with the saving strength of his right hand.

7 Ezek szekerekben, amazok lovakban bíznak; mi pedig az Úrnak, a mi Istenünknek nevéről emlékezünk meg.

Some make mention of chariots, and some of horses, but we of the name of Jehovah our God.

8 Azok meghanyatlanak és elesnek; mi pedig felkelünk és megállunk.

They are bowed down and fallen; but we are risen and stand upright.

9 Uram, segítsd meg a királyt! Hallgasson meg minket, mikor kiáltunk hozzá.

Save, Jehovah! Let the king answer us in the day we call.
