Zsoltárok 18
1 Az éneklőmesternek, az Úr szolgájától, Dávidtól, a ki az Úrhoz ez ének szavait azon a napon mondotta, a melyen az Úr megszabadította őt minden ellenségének kezéből, és a Saul kezéből. És monda: Szeretlek Uram, én erősségem!
To the chief Musician. Of the servant of Yahweh, of David, —who spake unto Yahweh the words of this song, —in the day when Yahweh had rescued him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul; and he said: — I will love thee, O Yahweh my strength!
2 Az Úr az én kősziklám, váram és szabadítóm; az én Istenem, az én kősziklám, ő benne bízom: az én paizsom, idvességem szarva, menedékem.
Yahweh, was my mountain crag and my stronghold, and my deliverer: My GOD, was my rock, I sought refuge in him, My shield, and my horn of salvation, my high tower.
3 Az Úrhoz kiáltok, a ki dicséretre méltó, és megszabadulok ellenségeimtől.
As one worthy to be praised, called I on Yahweh, —And, from my foes, was I saved.
4 Halál kötelei vettek körül, s az istentelenség árjai rettentettek engem.
The meshes of death encompassed me, The torrents of perdition, made me afraid;
The meshes of hades, had surrounded me, The snares of death, had confronted me, (Sheol h7585)
6 Szükségemben az Urat hívtam, és az én Istenemhez kiáltottam; szavamat meghallá templomából, és kiáltásom eljutott füleibe.
In my distress, called I on Yahweh, And, unto my God, made outcry for help, He heard, out of his temple, my voice, And my outcry for help came before him—entered into his ears!
7 Megindult, megrendült a föld, s a hegyek fundamentomai inogtak; és megindultak, mert haragra gyúlt.
Then did the earth shake and quake, Even, the foundations of the mountains, were deeply moved, Yea they did shake, because he was angry.
8 Füst szállt fel orrából, és szájából emésztő tűz; izzó szén gerjedt belőle.
There went up smoke in his nostrils, and, a fire out of his mouth, devoured, Live coals, were kindled from it:
9 Lehajtotta az eget és leszállt, és homály volt lábai alatt.
Then he stretched out the heaven, and came down, —and, thick gloom, was under his feet;
10 Kérubon haladt és röpült, és a szelek szárnyain suhant.
Then he rode on a cherub, and flew, and darted on the wings of the wind;
11 A sötétséget tette rejtekhelyévé; sátora körülötte a sötét felhők és sűrű fellegek.
Made darkness his hiding-place, Round about him—his pavilion, Darkness of waters, clouds of vapours.
12 Az előtte lévő fényességből felhőin jégeső tört át és eleven szén.
Out of the brightness before him, his clouds rolled along, hail, and live coals of fire.
13 És dörgött az Úr a mennyekben, és a Magasságos zengett; és jégeső hullt és eleven szén.
Then did Yahweh thunder in the heavens, and the Highest uttered his voice, —hail, and live coals of fire.
14 És kibocsátá nyilait és elszéleszté azokat, villámokat szórt és megháborította azokat.
And he sent forth his arrows and scattered them, yea, lightnings, he shot out, and confused them.
15 És meglátszottak a vizek medrei s megmutatkoztak a világ fundamentomai; a te feddésedtől, Uram, a te orrod leheletének fuvásától.
Then appeared the channels of waters, were uncovered the foundations of the world, —At thy rebuke O Yahweh, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
16 Lenyúlt a magasból és felvett engem; kivont engem nagy vizekből.
He sent from on high, he took me, —he drew me out of many waters.
17 Megszabadított engem az én erős ellenségemtől, s az én gyűlölőimtől, a kik hatalmasabbak voltak nálamnál.
He rescued me from my foe, in his might, and from them who hated me, because they were too strong for me:
18 Rám jöttek veszedelmem napján; de az Úr volt az én támaszom.
They confronted me, in the day of my necessity, Then became Yahweh my stay:
19 És kivitt engem tágas helyre; kiragadt engem, mert kedvét leli bennem.
And brought me out, into a large place, he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
20 Az Úr megfizetett nékem igazságom szerint, kezeimnek tisztasága szerint fizetett meg nékem;
Yahweh rewarded me according to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands, he repaid me;
21 Mert megőriztem az Úrnak útait, és gonoszul nem távoztam el az én Istenemtől.
For I had kept the ways of Yahweh, and not broken away from my God;
22 Mert minden ítélete előttem, és rendeléseit nem hánytam el magamtól.
For, all his regulations, were before me, and, his statutes, did I not put from me:
23 És tökéletes voltam előtte, őrizkedtem az én vétkemtől.
So became I blameless with him, and kept myself from mine iniquity.
24 És megfizetett nékem az Úr az én igazságom szerint; kezeim tisztasága szerint, a mi szemei előtt van.
Yahweh therefore repaid me according to my righteousness, according to the pureness of my hands, before his eyes.
25 Az irgalmashoz irgalmas vagy: a tökéleteshez tökéletes vagy.
With the loving, thou didst show thyself loving, —With the blameless man, thou didst show thyself blameless;
26 A tisztával tiszta vagy; s a visszáshoz visszás vagy.
With the pure, thou didst show thyself pure, But, with the perverse, thou didst show thyself ready to contend.
27 Mert te megtartod a nyomorult népet, és a kevély szemeket megalázod;
For, as for thee, an oppressed people, thou didst save, but, looks that were lofty, layedst thou low;
28 Mert te gyujtod meg az én szövétnekemet; az Úr az én Istenem megvilágosítja az én sötétségemet.
For, thou, didst light up my lamp, Yahweh my God, enlightened my darkness;
29 Mert általad táboron is átfutok, és az én Istenem által kőfalon is átugrom.
For, by thee, I ran through a troop, and, by my God, I leapt over a wall.
30 Az Istennek útja tökéletes; az Úrnak beszéde tiszta; paizsuk ő mindazoknak, a kik bíznak benne.
As for GOD, blameless is his way, The speech of Yahweh hath been proved, A shield, he is to all who seek refuge in him.
31 Mert kicsoda Isten az Úron kivül? És kicsoda kőszikla a mi Istenünkön kivül?
For who is a GOD, save Yahweh? And who is a Rock, save our God?
32 Az Isten, a ki felövez engem erővel, és tökéletessé teszi útamat:
The GOD who girded me with strength, and set forth, as blameless, my way:
33 Olyanná teszi lábamat, mint a szarvasé, és az én magas helyeimre állít engem.
Planting my feet like hinds’ [feet], yea, on my high places, he caused me to stand:
34 Ő tanítja kezemet a harczra, karjaim meghajlítják az érczíjat.
Teaching my hands to war, —so that a bow of bronze was bent by mine arms.
35 És adtad nékem a te idvességednek paizsát, és a te jobbod megszilárdított engem, és a te jóvoltod felmagasztalt engem.
Thus didst thou grant me, as a shield, thy salvation, —and, thy right hand, sustained me, and, thy condescension, made me great.
36 Kiszélesítetted lépésemet alattam, és nem tántorogtak lábaim.
Thou didst widen my stepping-places under me, so that, mine ankles, faltered not.
37 Üldözöm ellenségeimet és elérem őket, és nem térek vissza, míg meg nem semmisültek.
I pursued my foes, and overtook them, and returned not, till they were consumed:
38 Összetöröm őket, hogy fel sem kelhetnek; lábaim alá hullanak.
I crushed them, and they were unable to rise, They fell under my feet.
39 Mert te öveztél fel engem erővel a harczra, alám görbeszted az ellenem felkelőket.
Thus didst thou gird me with strength, for the battle, Thou subduedst mine assailants under me.
40 És megadtad, hogy ellenségeim meghátráltak, és az én gyűlölőimet elpusztíthattam.
As for my foes, thou didst give me their neck, and, as for them who hated me, I destroyed them.
41 Kiáltottak, de nem volt szabadító, az Úrhoz és nem felelt nékik.
They cried out, but there was none to save, unto Yahweh, but he answered them not.
42 És apróra törtem őket, a milyen a szél elé való por, és megtapodtam őket mint utcza sarát.
Then did I beat them in pieces, like dust on the face of the wind. Like the mire in the lanes, did I scatter them.
43 Megmentettél engem a nép pártoskodásaitól; nemzetek fejévé tettél engem; oly nép szolgál nékem, a melyet nem ismertem.
Thus didst thou rescue me from the contentions of a people, —didst appoint me to be the head of nations, A people I had not known, served me:
44 A mint hall a fülök, engedelmeskednek, és idegenek is hizelegnek nékem.
At the hearing of the ear, they submitted to me, the sons of the foreigner, came cringing unto me:
45 Az idegenek elepedtek, és reszketve jőnek elő zárt helyeikből.
The sons of the foreigner, lost heart, and came quaking out of their fortresses.
46 Él az Úr és áldott az én kősziklám, magasztaltassék hát az én idvességemnek Istene!
Yahweh liveth and, blessed, be my Rock, yea, exalted, be the God of my salvation:
47 Az Isten, a ki bosszút áll értem, és népeket hajlít alám;
The GOD, who hath avenged me, —and subjugated peoples under me:
48 A ki megment engem ellenségeimtől. Még az ellenem felkelők fölött is felmagasztalsz engem, az erőszakos embertől megszabadítasz engem.
Who hath delivered me from my foes, —Yea, from mine assailants, hast thou set me on high, From the man of violence, hast thou rescued me.
49 Azért dicsérlek téged, Uram, a nemzetek között, és éneket zengek a te nevednek.
For this cause, will I praise thee among the nations, O Yahweh, and, to thy Name, will I sweep the strings: —
50 Nagy segítséget ád az ő királyának és irgalmasságot cselekszik az ő felkentjével, Dáviddal és az ő magvával mindörökké.
Who hath made great the victories of his King, —and shown lovingkindness to his Anointed One, To David and to his Seed, Unto times age-abiding.
