1 Mikor Izráel népe kijöve Égyiptomból, Jákóbnak házanépe az idegen nép közül:

2 Júda lőn az ő szentséges népe és Izráel az ő királysága.

3 A tenger látá őt és elfutamodék; a Jordán hátrafordula.

4 A hegyek szöknek vala, mint a kosok, s a halmok, mint a juhoknak bárányai.

5 Mi a bajod, te tenger, hogy megfutamodál, és te Jordán, hogy hátrafordulál?

7 Indulj meg te föld az Úr orczája előtt, a Jákób Istene előtt,
