Zsoltárok 111

1 Dícsérjétek az Urat. Dicsérem az Urat teljes szívből: az igazak környezetében és a gyülekezetben.

Hallelujah. I will thank the Lord with all [my] heart, in the council of the upright, and in the congregation.

2 Nagyok az Úrnak cselekedetei; kivánatosak mindazoknak, a kik gyönyörködnek azokban.

Great are the works of the Lord, they are sought for [by them] in all their desires.

3 Dicsőség és méltóság az ő cselekedete, és igazsága megmarad mindvégig.

Glorious and majestic is his doing, and his righteousness endureth for ever.

4 Emlékezetet szerzett az ő csudálatos dolgainak; kegyelmes és irgalmas az Úr.

He hath made a memorial for his wonderful works: gracious and merciful is the Lord.

5 Eledelt ad az őt félőknek; megemlékezik az ő szövetségéről örökké.

He hath given sustenance unto those that fear him: he will for ever be mindful of his covenant.

6 Cselekedeteinek erejét tudtul adta az ő népének, nékik adván a pogányok örökségét.

The power of his works hath he told unto his people, that he might give them the heritage of nations.

7 Kezeinek cselekedetei hűség és igazság; minden ő végzése tökéletes.

The works of his hands are truth and justice: faultless are all his precepts.

8 Megingathatlanok örökké és mindvégig; hívségből és egyenességből származottak.

They are well supported for ever and eternally: they are framed in truth and uprightness.

9 Váltságot küldött az ő népének, elrendelte szövetségét örökre; szent és rettenetes az ő neve.

Redemption hath he sent unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and to be feared is his name.

10 A bölcseség kezdete az Úrnak félelme; jó belátása van mindenkinek, a ki ezt gyakorolja; annak dicsérete megmarad mindvégig.

The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord; a good understanding have all that fulfill [his commandments]: his praise endureth for ever.
