Zsoltárok 108
1 Ének. Dávid zsoltára. Kész az én szívem, oh Isten, hadd énekeljek és zengedezzek; az én dicsőségem is kész.
“A psalm of David.” O God! my heart is strengthened! I will sing and give thanks.
2 Serkenj fel te lant és hárfa, hadd keltsem fel a hajnalt!
Awake, my soul! awake, my psaltery and harp! I will wake with the early dawn.
3 Hálát adok néked a népek között Uram, és zengedezek néked a nemzetek között!
I will praise thee, O LORD! among the nations; I will sing to thee among the peoples!
4 Mert nagy, egek felett való a te kegyelmed, és a felhőkig ér a te hűséges voltod!
For thy mercy reacheth to the heavens, And thy truth above the clouds.
5 Magasztaltassál fel, oh Isten, az egek felett, és dicsőséged legyen az egész földön!
Exalt thyself, O God! above the heavens, And thy glory above all the earth!
6 Hogy megszabaduljanak a te szeretteid, segíts a te jobb kezeddel és hallgass meg engem!
That thy beloved ones may be delivered, Save with thy right hand, and answer me!
7 Az ő szentélyében szólott az Isten: Örvendezek, hogy eloszthatom Sikhemet, és felmérhetem Sukkothnak völgyét.
God promiseth in his holiness; I will rejoice; I shall yet divide Shechem, And measure out the valley of Succoth;
8 Enyém Gileád, enyém Manassé; Efraim az én fejemnek védelme, Júda az én törvényrendelőm.
Gilead shall be mine, and mine Manasseh; Ephraim shall be my helmet, And Judah my sceptre.
9 Moáb az én mosdómedenczém, Edomra az én saruimat vetem, Filistea felett kaczagok.
Moab shall be my washbowl; Upon Edom shall I cast my shoe; I shall triumph over Philistia.
10 Kicsoda visz el engem a kerített városba? kicsoda vezérel engem Edomig?
Who will bring me to the strong city? Who will lead me into Edom?
11 Nem te vagy-é, oh Isten, a ki megvetettél minket, hogy ki ne menj, oh Isten, a mi seregeinkkel?
Wilt not thou, O God! who didst forsake us, Who didst not go forth with our armies?
12 Adj szabadulást nékünk az ellenségtől, mert hiábavaló az emberi segítség!
Give us thine aid in our distress, For vain is the help of man!
13 Istennel hatalmasan cselekszünk, és ő megtapodja ellenségeinket.
Through God we shall do valiantly; For he will tread down our enemies.
