4 Mózes 14
1 És felemelé szavát az egész gyülekezet, és síra a nép azon az éjszakán.
And it lifted up all the congregation and they gave forth voice their and they wept the people in the night that.
2 És mindnyájan zúgolódának Mózes ellen és Áron ellen Izráel fiai, és monda nékik az egész gyülekezet: Vajha megholtunk volna Égyiptom földén! vagy ebben a pusztában vajha meghalnánk!
And they grumbled on Moses and on Aaron all [the] people of Israel and they said to them all the congregation if we had died in [the] land of Egypt or in the wilderness this if we had died.
3 Miért is visz be minket az Úr arra a földre? hogy fegyver miatt hulljunk el? feleségeink és a kicsinyeink prédára legyenek? Nem jobb volna-é nékünk visszatérnünk Égyiptomba?
And why? [is] Yahweh bringing us into the land this to fall by the sword wives our and little one[s] our they will become plunder ¿ not good for us [is] to return Egypt towards.
4 És mondának egymásnak: Szerezzünk előttünk járót, és térjünk vissza Égyiptomba.
And they said each to brother his let us appoint a leader and let us return Egypt towards.
5 Akkor arczczal leborulának Mózes és Áron Izráel fiai gyülekezetének egész községe előtt.
And he fell Moses and Aaron on faces their before all [the] assembly of [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel.
6 Józsué pedig, a Nún fia, és Káleb, a Jefunné fia, a kik a földnek kémlelői közül valók valának, meghasogaták ruháikat.
And Joshua [the] son of Nun and Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh one of those [who] spied out the land they tore clothes their.
7 És szólának Izráel fiai egész gyülekezetének, mondván: A föld, a melyen általmentünk, hogy megkémleljük azt, igen-igen jó föld.
And they said to all [the] congregation of [the] people of Israel saying the land which we passed in it to spy out it [is] good the land very very.
8 Ha az Úrnak kedve telik bennünk, akkor bevisz minket arra a földre, és nékünk adja azt, mely tejjel és mézzel folyó föld.
If he delights in us Yahweh and he will bring us into the land this and he will give it to us a land which it [is] flowing of milk and honey.
9 Csakhogy ne lázongjatok az Úr ellen, se ne féljetek annak a földnek népétől; mert ők nekünk csak olyanok, mint a kenyér; eltávozott tőlök az ő oltalmok, de az Úr velünk van: ne féljetek tőlök!
Only against Yahweh may not you rebel and you may not you fear [the] people of the land for [will be] bread our they it has departed shade their from over them and Yahweh [is] with us may not you fear them.
10 Mikor pedig az egész gyülekezet azon tanakodék, hogy megkövezze őket: megjelenék az Úrnak dicsősége a gyülekezet sátorában Izráel minden fiának.
And they said all the congregation to stone them with stones and [the] glory of Yahweh it appeared at [the] tent of meeting to all [the] people of Israel.
11 És monda az Úr Mózesnek: Meddig gyaláz engemet ez a nép? Meddig nem hisznek nékem, mind ama csudatételeim mellett sem, a melyeket cselekedtem közöttök?
And he said Yahweh to Moses until when? will they spurn me the people this and until when? not will they believe in me with all the signs which I did in midst its.
12 Megverem őket döghalállal, és elvesztem őket; téged pedig nagy néppé teszlek, és ő nálánál erősebbé.
I will strike it with pestilence and I will dispossess it and I may make you a nation great and mighty more than it.
13 És monda Mózes az Úrnak: Ha meghallják az égyiptombeliek (mert közülök hoztad fel e népet a te hatalmad által):
And he said Moses to Yahweh and they will hear Egypt that you brought up by strength your the people this from midst its.
14 Elmondják majd e föld lakosainak, a kik hallották, hogy te Uram e nép között vagy, hogy szemtől szembe megjelentetted magadat te Uram, és hogy a te felhőd megállott ő rajtok, és felhőoszlopban jársz te ő előttök nappal, éjjel pedig tűzoszlopban.
And they will say to [the] inhabitant[s] of the land this they have heard that you O Yahweh [are] in [the] midst of the people this who eye in eye he was seen - you O Yahweh and cloud your [is] standing over them and in a pillar of cloud you [are] going before them by day and in a pillar of fire night.
15 Hogyha mind egyig elveszted e népet, így szólanak majd e népek, a melyek hallották a te híredet, mondván:
And you will put to death the people this like a person one and they will say the nations which they have heard report your saying.
16 Mivelhogy nem vihette be az Úr e népet a földre, a mely felől megesküdött nékik, azért öldöste le őket a pusztában.
Because not was able Yahweh to bring the people this into the land which he swore to them and he has slaughtered them in the wilderness.
17 Most azért hadd magasztaltassék fel az Úrnak ereje, a miképen szólottál, mondván:
And therefore may it be great please [the] power of [the] Lord just as you have spoken saying.
18 Az Úr késedelmes a haragra, nagy irgalmasságú, megbocsát hamisságot és vétket, de a bűnöst nem hagyja büntetlenül; megbünteti az atyák álnokságait a fiakban harmad és negyed íziglen.
Yahweh [is] long of anger and great of covenant loyalty forgiving iniquity and transgression and certainly not he will leave unpunished visiting [the] iniquity of parents on [the] children on a third generation and on a fourth generation.
19 Kérlek, kegyelmezz meg e nép hamisságának a te irgalmasságod nagy volta szerint, a miképen megbocsátottál e népnek Égyiptomtól fogva mind eddig.
Forgive please [the] iniquity of the people this according to [the] greatness of covenant loyalty your and just as you have forgiven the people this from Egypt and until now.
20 És monda az Úr: Megkegyelmeztem a te beszéded szerint.
And he said Yahweh I have forgiven [them] according to word your.
21 De bizonnyal élek én, és betölti az Úr dicsősége az egész földet.
And but [by] [the] life of me so may be filled [with the] glory of Yahweh all the earth.
22 Hogy mindazok az emberek, a kik látták az én dicsőségemet és csudáimat, a melyeket cselekedtem Égyiptomban és e pusztában, és megkisértettek engemet immár tízszer, és nem engedtek az én szómnak:
For all the men who saw glory my and signs my which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness and they have put to [the] test me this ten times and not they have listened to voice my.
23 Nem látják meg azt a földet, a mely felől megesküdtem az ő atyáiknak; senki nem látja azt azok közöl, a kik gyaláztak engem.
If they will see the land which I swore to ancestors their and all [those who] have spurned me not they will see it.
24 De az én szolgámat, Kálebet, mivelhogy más lélek volt vele, és tökéletességgel követett engem, beviszem őt arra a földre, a melyre bement vala, és örökségül bírja azt az ő magva.
And servant my Caleb consequence it has been a spirit another with him and he has filled after me and I will bring him into the land where he went there and offspring his it will take possession of it.
25 De Amálek és Kananeus lakik a völgyben; holnap forduljatok meg, és induljatok a pusztába, a veres tenger útján.
And the Amalekite[s] and the Canaanite[s] [was] dwelling in the valley[s] tomorrow turn and set out for yourselves the wilderness [the] way of [the] sea of reed[s].
26 Szóla annakfelette az Úr Mózesnek és Áronnak, mondván:
And he spoke Yahweh to Moses and to Aaron saying.
27 Meddig tűrjek e gonosz gyülekezetnek, a mely zúgolódik ellenem? Hallottam Izráel fiainak zúgolódásait, a kik zúgolódnak ellenem!
Until when? to the congregation evil this which they [are] grumbling on me [the] grumblings of [the] people of Israel which they [are] grumbling on me I have heard.
28 Mondd meg nékik: Élek én, azt mondja az Úr, hogy épen úgy cselekszem veletek, a miképen szólottatok az én füleim hallására!
Say to them [by] [the] life of me [the] utterance of Yahweh if not just as you have spoken in ears my so I will do to you.
29 E pusztában hullanak el a ti holttesteitek, és pedig mindazok, a kik megszámláltattak a ti teljes számotok szerint, húsz esztendőstől fogva és azon felül, a kik zúgolódtatok ellenem.
In the wilderness this they will fall corpses your and all enrolled [men] your of all number your from a son of twenty year[s] and up-wards who you have grumbled on me.
30 És nem mentek be arra a földre, a melyre nézve felemeltem az én kezemet, hogy lakosokká teszlek abban titeket; Kálebet, a Jefunné fiát és Józsuét, a Nún fiát kivéve.
If you you will go into the land which I lifted up hand my to cause to dwell you in it that except Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh and Joshua [the] son of Nun.
31 De kicsinyeiteket, a kik felől azt mondtátok, hogy prédára lesznek; őket beviszem, és megismerik azt a földet, a melyet megútáltatok.
And little one[s] your who you said plunder he will become and I will bring them and they will know the land which you have rejected it.
32 A ti holttesteitek azért a pusztában hullanak el.
And corpses your you they will fall in the wilderness this.
33 A ti fiaitok pedig, mint a pásztorok, bujdosnak e pusztában negyven esztendeig, és viselik a ti paráználkodásitoknak büntetését, míglen megemésztetnek a ti holttesteitek e pusztában.
And children your they will be shepherds in the wilderness forty year[s] and they will bear prostitution your until are finished corpses your in the wilderness.
34 A napok száma szerint, a melyeken megkémleltétek a földet, (tudniillik negyven napon, egy-egy napért egy-egy esztendő), negyven esztendeig hordozzátok a ti hamisságotoknak büntetését, és megismeritek az én elfordulásomat.
By [the] number of the days which you spied out the land forty day[s] a day for the year a day for the year you will bear iniquities your forty year[s] and you will know opposition my.
35 Én, az Úr, szólottam. Bizonyára ezt mívelem az egész gonosz gyülekezettel, a mely összegyülekezett vala ellenem; ebben a pusztában emésztetnek meg, és ugyanott halnak meg.
I Yahweh I have spoken if not - this I will do to all the congregation evil this which has gathered on me in the wilderness this they will meet their end and there they will die.
36 A férfiak azért, a kiket elküldött vala Mózes a földnek megkémlelésére, és visszatérének és felzúdíták ellene az egész gyülekezetet, rossz hírt terjesztvén arról a földről:
And the men whom he sent Moses to spy out the land and they returned (and they caused to grumble *Q(K)*) on him all the congregation by bringing out a bad report on the land.
37 Azok a férfiak azért, a kik rossz hírt terjesztének a földről, meghalának az Úr előtt csapás által.
And they died the men [who] brought out [the] unfavorable report of the land evil by plague before Yahweh.
38 Csak Józsué, a Nún fia, és Káleb, a Jefunné fia, maradának életben ama férfiak közül, a kik mentek vala a földet megkémlelni.
And Joshua [the] son of Nun and Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh they lived of the men those who went to spy out the land.
39 A mint pedig elbeszélé Mózes e beszédeket Izráel fiainak, a nép felette igen keserge.
And he spoke Moses the words these to all [the] people of Israel and they mourned the people exceedingly.
40 És felkelének reggel, és felmenének a hegy tetejére, mondván: Ímé készek vagyunk elmenni a helyre, a melyről szólott az Úr, mert vétkeztünk.
And they rose early in the morning and they went up to [the] top of the hill country saying here [are] we and we will go up to the place which he said Yahweh that we have sinned.
41 És monda Mózes: Miért hágjátok át ilyen módon az Úr akaratát, holott nem sikerülhet az néktek.
And he said Moses why? this [are] you transgressing [the] mouth of Yahweh and it not it will succeed.
42 Fel ne menjetek, mert nem lesz közöttetek az Úr, hogy el ne hulljatok a ti ellenségeitek előtt.
May not you go up for not Yahweh [will be] in midst your and not you will be defeated before enemies your.
43 Mert az Amálek és a Kananeus van ott előttetek, és fegyver által hulltok el. Mivelhogy elfordultatok az Úrtól, nem is lesz az Úr veletek.
For the Amalekite[s] and the Canaanite[s] [are] there before you and you will fall by the sword for since you have turned back from after Yahweh and not he will be Yahweh with you.
44 Mindazáltal merészkedének felmenni a hegy tetejére; de az Úr szövetségének ládája és Mózes meg sem mozdulának a táborból.
And they presumed to go up to [the] top of the hill country and [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh and Moses not they departed from [the] midst of the camp.
45 Alászálla azért az Amálek és a Kananeus, a ki lakik vala azon a hegyen, és megverék őket, és vágák őket mind Hormáig.
And he came down the Amalekite[s] and the Canaanite[s] who dwelt in the hill country that and they struck them and they scattered them to Hormah.
