Felkelének pedig minden ő fiai, és minden ő leányai, hogy vígasztalják őt, de nem akara vígasztalódni, hanem monda: Sírva megyek fiamhoz a sírba; és siratá őt az atyja. (Sheol h7585)
and all his sons and all his daughters rise to comfort him, and he refuseth to comfort himself, and saith, 'For — I go down mourning unto my son, to Sheol,' and his father weepeth for him. (Sheol h7585)

and he saith, 'My son doth not go down with you, for his brother [is] dead, and he by himself is left; when mischief hath met him in the way in which ye go, then ye have brought down my grey hairs in sorrow to sheol.' (Sheol h7585)
Ha ezt is elviszitek szemeim elől, s veszedelem találja érni, akkor az én ősz fejemet keserűségtől borítva bocsátjátok alá a koporsóba. (Sheol h7585)
when ye have taken also this from my presence, and mischief hath met him, then ye have brought down my grey hairs with evil to sheol. (Sheol h7585)

then it hath come to pass when he seeth that the youth is not, that he hath died, and thy servants have brought down the grey hairs of thy servant our father with sorrow to sheol; (Sheol h7585)
Ha pedig az Úr valami új dolgot cselekszik, és a föld megnyitja az ő száját, és elnyeli őket, és mindazt, a mi az övék, és elevenen szállanak alá pokolba: akkor megismeritek, hogy gyalázták ezek az emberek az Urat. (Sheol h7585)
and if a strange thing Jehovah do, and the ground hath opened her mouth and swallowed them, and all that they have, and they have gone down alive to Sheol — then ye have known that these men have despised Jehovah.' (Sheol h7585)

and they go down, they, and all that they have, alive to Sheol, and the earth closeth over them, and they perish from the midst of the assembly; (Sheol h7585)

For a fire hath been kindled in Mine anger, And it burneth unto Sheol — the lowest, And consumeth earth and its increase, And setteth on fire foundations of mountains. (Sheol h7585)

and thou hast done according to thy wisdom, and dost not let his old age go down in peace to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)

And he hath not known that Rephaim [are] there, In deep places of Sheol her invited ones! (Sheol h7585)

Sheol and destruction [are] before Jehovah, Surely also the hearts of the sons of men. (Sheol h7585)

A path of life [is] on high for the wise, To turn aside from Sheol beneath. (Sheol h7585)

Sheol, and a restrained womb, Earth — it [is] not satisfied [with] water, And fire — it hath not said, 'Sufficiency,' (Sheol h7585)
Valamit hatalmadban van cselekedni erőd szerint, azt cselekedjed; mert semmi cselekedet, okoskodás, tudomány és bölcseség nincs a Seolban, a hová menendő vagy. (Sheol h7585)
All that thy hand findeth to do, with thy power do, for there is no work, and device, and knowledge, and wisdom in Sheol whither thou art going. (Sheol h7585)

Set me as a seal on thy heart, as a seal on thine arm, For strong as death is love, Sharp as Sheol is jealousy, Its burnings [are] burnings of fire, a flame of Jah! (Sheol h7585)

Therefore hath Sheol enlarged herself, And hath opened her mouth without limit. And gone down hath its honour, and its multitude, And its noise, and its exulting one — into her. (Sheol h7585)

'Ask for thee a sign from Jehovah thy God, Make deep the request, or make [it] high upwards.' (Sheol h7585)
Alant a sír megindul te miattad megérkezésedkor, miattad felriasztja árnyait, a föld minden hatalmasit, felkölti székeikről a népek minden királyait; (Sheol h7585)
Sheol beneath hath been troubled at thee, To meet thy coming in, It is waking up for thee Rephaim, All chiefs ones of earth, It hath raised up from their thrones All kings of nations. (Sheol h7585)
Kevélységed és lantjaid zengése a sírba szállt; fekvő ágyad férgek, és takaró lepled pondrók! (Sheol h7585)
Brought down to Sheol hath been thine excellency, The noise of thy psaltery, Under thee spread out hath been the worm, Yea, covering thee is the worm. (Sheol h7585)
Pedig a sírba szállsz alá, sírgödör mélységébe! (Sheol h7585)
Only — unto Sheol thou art brought down, Unto the sides of the pit. (Sheol h7585)
Mert így szóltok: Frigyet kötöttünk a halállal, a sírral meg szövetséget csináltunk; az ostorozó áradat ha jő, nem ér el minket; mert a hazugságot választók oltalmunkul, és csalásba rejtezénk el! (Sheol h7585)
Because ye have said: 'We have made a covenant with death, And with Sheol we have made a provision, An overflowing scourge, when it passeth over, Doth not meet us, Though we have made a lie our refuge, And in falsehood have been hidden.' (Sheol h7585)
És eltöröltetik a halállal való frigyetek, és a sírral való szövetségtek meg nem áll; az ostorozó áradat ha eljő, eltapod titeket, (Sheol h7585)
And disannulled hath been your covenant with death, And your provision with Sheol doth not stand, An overflowing scourge, when it passeth over, Then ye have been to it for a treading-place. (Sheol h7585)
Én azt mondám: hát napjaimnak nyugalmában kell alászállanom a sír kapuihoz, megfosztva többi éveimtől! (Sheol h7585)
'I — I said in the cutting off of my days, I go in to the gates of Sheol, I have numbered the remnant of mine years. (Sheol h7585)

For Sheol doth not confess Thee, Death doth not praise Thee, Those going down to the pit hope not for Thy truth. (Sheol h7585)
És menél a királyhoz olajjal, és megsokasítád keneteidet, és elküldéd követeidet messze földre, és megaláztad magadat a sírig. (Sheol h7585)
And goest joyfully to the king in ointment, And dost multiply thy perfumes, And sendest thine ambassadors afar off, And humblest thyself unto Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Így szól az Úr Isten: Azon a napon, a melyen sírba aláméne, gyászba öltöztetém miatta a mélység vizeit, és megtartóztatám folyóikat, úgy hogy a sok víz elzáraték, s meggyászoltatám őt a Libánonnal, és a mező minden fája elepede miatta. (Sheol h7585)
Thus said the Lord Jehovah: In the day of his going down to sheol I have caused mourning, I have covered for him the deep, and diminish its flowings, And restrained are many waters, And I make Lebanon black for him, And all trees of the field have been covered for him. (Sheol h7585)

From the sound of his fall I have caused nations to shake, In My causing him to go down to sheol, With those going down to the pit, And comforted in the earth — the lower part, are all trees of Eden, The choice and the good of Lebanon, All drinking waters. (Sheol h7585)
Ezek is alászállottak vele a sírba azokhoz, a kik fegyverrel ölettek meg, s a kik mint segítőtársai árnyékában ülének a nemzetek között. (Sheol h7585)

És nem feküsznek együtt az erősekkel, kik elestek a körülmetéletlenek közül, kik hadiszerszámaikkal szálltak alá a sírba s kiknek az ő fegyvereiket fejük alá tették; mert lőn az ő vétkök csontjaikon, mivelhogy félelmére valának a vitézeknek az élők földjén. (Sheol h7585)
And they lie not with the mighty, Who are falling of the uncircumcised, Who have gone down to sheol with their weapons of war, And they put their swords under their heads, And their iniquities are on their bones, For the terror of the mighty [is] in the land of the living. (Sheol h7585)
Megváltom őket a Seol hatalmából! Megmentem őket a haláltól! Hol van a te veszedelmed oh halál?! Hol van a te romlásod oh Seol?! Megbánás elrejtetett én előlem. (Sheol h7585)
From the hand of Sheol I do ransom them, From death I redeem them, Where [is] thy plague, O death? Where thy destruction, O Sheol? Repentance is hid from Mine eyes. (Sheol h7585)

And also, because the wine [is] treacherous, A man is haughty, and remaineth not at home, Who hath enlarged as sheol his soul, And is as death that is not satisfied, And doth gather unto itself all the nations, And doth assemble unto itself all the peoples, (Sheol h7585)

but I — I say to you, that every one who is angry at his brother without cause, shall be in danger of the judgment, and whoever may say to his brother, Empty fellow! shall be in danger of the sanhedrim, and whoever may say, Rebel! shall be in danger of the gehenna of the fire. (Geenna g1067)

'But, if thy right eye doth cause thee to stumble, pluck it out and cast from thee, for it is good to thee that one of thy members may perish, and not thy whole body be cast to gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
És ha a te jobb kezed botránkoztat meg téged, vágd le azt és vesd el magadtól; mert jobb néked, hogy egy vesszen el a te tagjaid közül, semhogy egész tested a gyehennára vettessék. (Geenna g1067)
'And, if thy right hand doth cause thee to stumble, cut it off, and cast from thee, for it is good to thee that one of thy members may perish, and not thy whole body be cast to gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
És ne féljetek azoktól, a kik a testet ölik meg, a lelket pedig meg nem ölhetik; hanem attól féljetek inkább, a ki mind a lelket, mind a testet elvesztheti a gyehennában. (Geenna g1067)
'And be not afraid of those killing the body, and are not able to kill the soul, but fear rather Him who is able both soul and body to destroy in gehenna. (Geenna g1067)
Te is Kapernaum, a ki az égig felmagasztaltattál, a pokolig fogsz megaláztatni; mert ha Sodomában történnek vala azok a csodák, a melyek te benned lőnek, mind e mai napig megmaradt volna. (Hadēs g86)
'And thou, Capernaum, which unto the heaven wast exalted, unto hades shalt be brought down, because if in Sodom had been done the mighty works that were done in thee, it had remained unto this day; (Hadēs g86)
Még a ki az ember Fia ellen szól, annak is megbocsáttatik; de a ki a Szent Lélek ellen szól, annak sem ezen, sem a más világon meg nem bocsáttatik. (aiōn g165)

'And that sown toward the thorns, this is he who is hearing the word, and the anxiety of this age, and the deceitfulness of the riches, do choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
Az ellenség pedig, a ki a konkolyt vetette, az ördög; az aratás pedig a világ vége; az aratók pedig az angyalok. (aiōn g165)
and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is a full end of the age, and the reapers are messengers. (aiōn g165)
A miképen azért összegyűjtik a konkolyt és megégetik: akképen lesz a világnak végén. (aiōn g165)
'As, then, the darnel is gathered up, and is burned with fire, so shall it be in the full end of this age, (aiōn g165)
Így lesz a világ végén is: Eljőnek majd az angyalok, és kiválasztják a gonoszokat az igazak közül. (aiōn g165)
so shall it be in the full end of the age, the messengers shall come forth and separate the evil out of the midst of the righteous, (aiōn g165)

and every one who left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or fields, for my name's sake, an hundredfold shall receive, and life age-during shall inherit; (aiōnios g166)
