Nehemiás 7

1 És lőn, hogy midőn megépítteték a kőfal, felállítám az ajtókat és kirendeltetének a kapunállók, az énekesek és a Léviták őrizetre;

And it cometh to pass, when the wall hath been built, that I set up the doors, and the gatekeepers are appointed, and the singers, and the Levites,

2 És hadnagyokká tevém Jeruzsálem fölött Hanánit, testvéremet és Hanániást, a vár fejedelmét, mivel hogy ő hűségesebb és istenfélőbb vala sokaknál.

and I charge Hanani my brother, and Hananiah head of the palace, concerning Jerusalem — for he [is] as a man of truth, and fearing God above many —

3 És mondék nékik: Meg ne nyittassanak Jeruzsálem kapui mindaddig, míg a nap melegen nem süt, és míg az őrök ott állanak, addig tegyék be az ajtókat és zárjátok be azokat; azután állítsatok őrizőket Jeruzsálem lakosai közül, némelyeket az ő vigyázó helyökre, s másokat az ő házok ellenébe.

and I say to them, 'Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened till the heat of the sun, and while they are standing by let them shut the doors, and fasten, and appoint guards of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, each in his guard, and each over-against his house.'

4 A város pedig felette igen széles vala és nagy, s a nép kevés lévén benne, házak nem épültek.

And the city [is] broad on both sides, and great, and the people [are] few in its midst, and there are no houses builded;

5 Felindítá azért az én Istenem szívemet, hogy egybegyűjtsem az előljárókat, a főembereket és a népet, hogy felírattassanak; és megtalálám azok nemzetségének könyvét, a kik először jöttek vala fel Babilóniából, melyben ily írást találék:

and my God putteth it unto my heart, and I gather the freeman, and the prefects, and the people, for the genealogy, and I find a book of the genealogy of those coming up at the beginning, and I find written in it: —

6 Ezek a tartománynak fiai, a kik feljöttek vala a rabság foglyai közül, a kiket fogva vitetett Nabukodonozor, Babilónia királya, s most visszajövének Jeruzsálembe és Júdába, kiki az ő városába.

These [are] sons of the province, those coming up of the captives of the removal that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon removed — and they turn back to Jerusalem and to Judah, each to his city —

7 Kik jövének Zorobábellel: Jésua, Nehémiás, Azariás, Raámia, Nahamáni, Mordokhai, Bilsán, Miszpereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baána. Izráel népe férfiainak számok ez:

who are coming in with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. Number of the men of the people of Israel:

8 Parós fiai: kétezerszázhetvenkettő;

Sons of Parosh: two thousand a hundred and seventy and two.

9 Sefátja fiai: háromszázhetvenkettő;

Sons of Shephatiah: three hundred seventy and two.

10 Arah fiai: hatszázötvenkettő;

Sons of Arah: six hundred fifty and two.

11 Pahath-Moáb fiai, Jésua és Joáb fiaitól: kétezernyolczszáztizennyolcz;

Sons of Pahath-Moab, of the sons of Jeshua and Joab: two thousand and eight hundred [and] eighteen.

12 Elám fiai: ezerkétszázötvennégy;

Sons of Elam: a thousand two hundred fifty and four.

13 Zattu fiai: nyolczszáznegyvenöt;

Sons of Zattu: eight hundred forty and five.

14 Zakkai fiai: hétszázhatvan;

Sons of Zaccai: seven hundred and sixty.

15 Binnui fiai: hatszáznegyvennyolcz;

Sons of Binnui: six hundred forty and eight.

16 Bébai fiai: hatszázhuszonnyolcz;

Sons of Bebai: six hundred twenty and eight.

17 Azgád fiai: kétezerháromszázhuszonkettő;

Sons of Azgad: two thousand three hundred twenty and two.

18 Adónikám fiai: hatszázhatvanhét;

Sons of Adonikam: six hundred sixty and seven.

19 Bigvai fiai: kétezerhatvanhét;

Sons of Bigvai: two thousand sixty and seven.

20 Adin fiai: hatszázötvenöt;

Sons of Adin: six hundred fifty and five.

21 Áter fiai, Ezékiástól: kilenczvennyolcz;

Sons of Ater of Hezekiah: ninety and eight.

22 Hásum fiai: háromszázhuszonnyolcz;

Sons of Hashum: three hundred twenty and eight.

23 Bésai fiai: háromszázhuszonnégy;

Sons of Bezai: three hundred twenty and four.

24 Hárif fiai: száztizenkettő;

Sons of Hariph: a hundred [and] twelve.

25 Gibeon fiai: kilenczvenöt;

Sons of Gibeon: ninety and five.

26 Bethlehem és Netófa férfiai: száznyolczvannyolcz;

Men of Beth-Lehem and Netophah: a hundred eighty and eight.

27 Anathóth férfiai: százhuszonnyolcz;

Men of Anathoth: a hundred twenty and eight.

28 Beth-Azmáveth férfiai: negyvenkettő;

Men of Beth-Azmaveth: forty and two.

29 Kirjáth-Jeárim, Kefira és Beéróth férfiai: hétszáznegyvenhárom;

Men of Kirjath-Jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth: seven hundred forty and three.

30 Ráma és Géba férfiai: hatszázhuszonegy;

Men of Ramah and Gaba: six hundred twenty and one.

31 Mikmás férfiai: százhuszonkettő;

Men of Michmas: a hundred and twenty and two.

32 Béthel és Ai férfiai: százhuszonhárom;

Men of Bethel and Ai: a hundred twenty and three.

33 A másik Nébó férfiai: ötvenkettő;

Men of the other Nebo: fifty and two.

34 A másik Elám fiai: ezerkétszázötvennégy;

Sons of the other Elam: a thousand two hundred fifty and four.

35 Hárim fiai: háromszázhúsz;

Sons of Harim: three hundred and twenty.

36 Jerikó fiai: háromszáznegyvenöt;

Sons of Jericho: three hundred forty and five.

37 Lód, Hádid és Ónó fiai: hétszázhuszonegy;

Sons of Lod, Hadid, and Ono: seven hundred and twenty and one.

38 Szenáa fiai: háromezerkilenczszázharmincz;

Sons of Senaah: three thousand nine hundred and thirty.

The priests: sons of Jedaiah: of the house of Jeshua: nine hundred seventy and three;

The Levites: sons of Jeshua, of Kadmiel: of sons of Hodevah: seventy and four.

The singers: sons of Asaph: a hundred forty and eight.

The gatekeepers: sons of Shallum, sons of Ater, sons of Talmon, sons of Akkub, sons of Hatita, sons of Shobai: a hundred thirty and eight.

46 A Léviták szolgái: Siha fiai, Hasufa fiai, Tabbaóth fiai,

The Nethinim: sons of Ziha, sons of Hasupha, sons of Tabbaoth,

47 Kérósz fiai, Szia fiai, Pádón fiai,

sons of Keros, sons of Sia, sons of Padon,

48 Lebána fiai, Hagába fiai, Salmai fiai,

sons of Lebanah, sons of Hagaba, sons of Shalmai,

49 Hanán fiai, Giddél fiai, Gahar fiai,

sons of Hanan, sons of Giddel, sons of Gahar,

50 Reája fiai, Resin fiai, Nekóda fiai,

sons of Reaiah, sons of Rezin, sons of Nekoda,

51 Gazzám fiai, Uzza fiai, Pászéah fiai,

sons of Gazzam, sons of Uzza, sons of Phaseah,

52 Bészai fiai, Meunim fiai, Nefiszim fiai,

sons of Bezai, sons of Meunim, sons of Nephishesim,

53 Bakbuk fiai, Hakufa fiai, Harhur fiai,

sons of Bakbuk, sons of Hakupha, sons of Harhur,

54 Basluth fiai, Mehida fiai, Harsa fiai,

sons of Bazlith, sons of Mehida, sons of Harsha,

sons of Neziah, sons of Hatipha.

57 A Salamon szolgáinak fiai: Szótai fiai, Szófereth fiai, Perida fiai,

Sons of the servants of Solomon: sons of Sotai, sons of Sophereth, sons of Perida,

58 Jaalá fiai, Darkón fiai, Giddél fiai,

sons of Jaala, sons of Darkon, sons of Giddel,

59 Sefátia fiai, Hattil fiai, Pókhereth-Hassebaim fiai, Ámon fiai;

sons of Shephatiah, sons of Hattil, sons of Pochereth of Zebaim, sons of Amon.

60 Összesen a Léviták szolgái és a Salamon szolgáinak fiai, háromszázkilenczvenkettő.

All the Nethinim and the sons of the servants of Solomon [are] three hundred ninety and two.

61 És ezek, a kik feljövének Tel-Melahból, Tel-Harsából, Kerub-Addán-Immérből, de nem mondhatták meg családjukat és eredetüket, hogy Izráelből valók-é?

And these [are] those coming up from Tel-Melah, Tel-Harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer — and they have not been able to declare the house of their fathers, and their seed, whether they [are] of Israel —

62 Delája fiai, Tóbiás fiai, Nekóda fiai, hatszáznegyvenkettő;

sons of Delaiah, sons of Tobiah, sons of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.

63 És a papok közül: Habája fiai, Hakkós fiai, Barzillai fiai, a ki a Gileádbeli Barzillai leányai közül vett magának feleséget és ezek nevéről nevezteték;

And of the priests: sons of Habaiah sons of Koz, sons of Barzillai, who hath taken from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite a wife, and is called by their name.

64 Ezek keresték írásukat, tudniillik nemzetségök könyvét, de nem találák, miért is kirekesztetének a papságból;

These have sought their register among those reckoning themselves by genealogy, and it hath not been found, and they are redeemed from the priesthood,

65 És megmondá nékik a király helytartója, hogy ne egyenek a szentséges áldozatból, mígnem a pap ítél az Urimmal és Tummimmal;

and the Tirshatha saith to them that they eat not of the most holy things till the standing up of the priest with Urim and Thummim.

66 Mind az egész gyülekezet együtt negyvenkétezerháromszázhatvan.

All the assembly together [is] four myriads two thousand three hundred and sixty,

67 Szolgáikon és szolgálóikon kivül – ezek valának hétezerháromszázharminczheten – valának nékik énekes férfiaik és asszonyaik kétszáznegyvenöten;

apart from their servants and their handmaids — these [are] seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven; and of them [are] singers and songstresses, two hundred forty and five.

68 Lovaik hétszázharminczhat, öszvéreik kétszáznegyvenöt;

Their horses [are] seven hundred thirty and six; their mules, two hundred [and] forty and five;

69 Tevéik négyszázharminczöt, szamaraik hatezerhétszázhúsz.

camels, four hundred thirty and five; asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.

70 Némelyek pedig a családfők közül adakozának az építésre: a király helytartója ada a kincsekhez aranyban ezer dárikot, ötven medenczét, ötszázharmincz papi ruhát;

And from the extremity of the heads of the fathers they have given to the work; the Tirshatha hath given to the treasure, of gold, drams a thousand, bowls fifty, priests' coats thirty and five hundred.

71 A többi családfők pedig adának az építés költségére aranyban húszezer dárikot, és ezüstben kétezerkétszáz mánét;

And of the heads of the fathers they have given to the treasure of the work, of gold, drams two myriads, and of silver, pounds two thousand and two hundred.

72 És a mit a többi nép ada, az aranyban húszezer dárik, és ezüstben kétezer máne, és hatvanhét papiruha vala.

And that which the rest of the people have given [is] of gold, drams two myriads, and of silver, pounds two thousand, and of priests coats, sixty and seven.

73 És lakozának mind a papok, mind a Léviták, mind a kapunállók, mind az énekesek, mind a nép fiai, mind a Léviták szolgái, szóval az egész Izráel a magok városaikban.

And they dwell — the priests, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and [some] of the people, and the Nethinim, and all Israel — in their cities, and the seventh month cometh, and the sons of Israel [are] in their cities.
