Nehemiás 3
1 És fölkele Eliásib, a főpap és atyjafiai, a papok és építék a juhok kapuját; ők szentelék meg azt és állíták fel annak ajtait; építék pedig a kőfalat a Meáh toronyig, a melyet megszentelének, s azután Hanánel tornyáig;
Then rose up Elyashib the high priest with his brethren the priests, and they built the sheep-gate; they sanctified it, and set up its doors: even as far as the tower of Meah did they sanctify it, as far as the tower of Chananel.
2 És ő mellette építének a Jerikóbeliek, ezek mellett pedig épített Zakkur az Imri fia;
And by his side built the men of Jericho. And by his [other] side built Zaccur the son of Imri.
3 A halaknak kapuját pedig építék a Hasszenáa fiai, ők gerendázák be azt és állíták fel annak ajtait, kapcsait és závárait;
But the fish-gate did the sons of Hassenaah build: they also laid its beams, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.
4 Mellettök javítgatá a kőfalat Merémóth, Uriásnak, a Hakkós fiának fia, mellette pedig javítgatott Mesullám, Berekiásnak, a Mesézabéel fiának a fia, és ő mellette javítgatott Sádók, Baána fia.
And alongside of them repaired Meremoth the son of Uriyah, the son of Kakkoz. And alongside of them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechyah, the son of Meshezabel. And alongside of them repaired Zadok the son of Ba'ana.
5 Ezek mellett pedig javítgatának a Tékoabeliek, a kiknek előkelői azonban nem hajták nyakukat az ő Urok munkájának jármába.
And alongside of them repaired the Teko'ites; but their principal men put not their necks to the work of their Lord.
6 Az ó-város kapuját pedig javítgaták Jójada, a Pászéah fia és Mesullám, a Beszódia fia; ők gerendázák be azt és állíták fel annak ajtait, kapcsait és závárait;
Moreover the old gate repaired Yoyada' the son of Passeach, and Meshullam the son of Bessodeyah: they laid its beams, and set up its doors, and its locks, and its bars.
7 És mellettök javítgatott a Gibeonból való Melátia és a Meronothból való Jádón, Gibeonnak és Mispának lakosai, a folyóvizen túl való helytartónak hivatala helyéig;
And alongside of them repaired Melatyah the Gib'onite, and Jadon the Meronothite, men of Gib'on and of Mizpah, unto the seat of the governor on this side of the river.
8 Mellettök javítgatott Uzziel, Harhajának fia az ötvösökkel, és ő mellette javítgatott Hanánia, a kenet-készítők egyike, és megerősíték Jeruzsálemet mind a széles kőfalig;
Alongside of him repaired 'Uzziel the son of Charhayah, of the goldsmiths. And alongside of him repaired Chananyah the son of one of the apothecaries, and they fortified Jerusalem as far as the broad wall.
9 Mellettök javítgatott Refája, Húr fia, a ki a Jeruzsálemhez tartozó tartomány felének fejedelme vala;
And alongside of them repaired Rephayah the son of Chur, the chief of the half of the district of Jerusalem.
10 Mellette javítgatott Jedája, Harumáf fia, és pedig a maga háza ellenébe, és mellette javítgatott Hattus, Hasabneja fia.
And alongside of them repaired Jedayah the son of Charumaph, and this opposite to his house. And alongside of him repaired Chattush the son of Chashabneyah.
11 A kőfal másik darabját javítgatá Malkija, Hárim fia és Hassub, a Pahath-Moáb fia, és a kemenczéknek tornyát.
Another division did Malkiyah the son of Charim, and Chashub the son of Pachathmoab, repair, as also the tower of the ovens.
12 És mellettök javítgatott Sallum, Hallóhés fia, a ki fejedelme vala a Jeruzsálemhez tartozó tartomány másik felének, ő és az ő leányai.
And alongside of him repaired Shallum the son of Hallochesh, the chief of the other half of the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.
13 A völgy kapuját javítgaták Hánun és Zánoah lakói, ők építék meg azt és állíták fel annak ajtait, kapcsait és závárait; és a kőfalból ezer singet a szemét-kapuig.
The gate of the valley repaired Chanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoach: they built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and a thousand cubits of the wall as far as the dung-gate.
14 A szemét-kaput pedig javítgatá Malkija, Rékáb fia, Beth-Hakkerem tartományának fejedelme, ő építé meg azt és állítá fel ajtait, kapcsait és závárait.
And the dung-gate repaired Malkiyah the son of Rechah, the chief of the district of Beth-hakkerem: he built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars.
15 És a forrásnak kapuját javítgatá Sallum, a Kól-Hóze fia, Mispa tartományának fejedelme, ő építé meg és héjazá be azt és állítá fel ajtait, kapcsait és závárait; és a Selah tó kőfalát a király kertje felé, mind a garádicsokig, melyeken a Dávid városából alájőnek.
And the gate of the fountain repaired Shallum the son of Col-chozeh, the chief of the district of Mizpah: he built it and covered it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and the wall of the pool of Shelach by the king's garden, and as far as the stairs that lead down from the city of David.
16 Ő utána javítgata Nehémiás, Azbuk fia, Béth-Sur tartománya felének fejedelme, a Dávid sírjai ellenébe való helyig, és az újonnan készült tóig, és a vitézek házáig.
Next to him repaired Nehemiah the son of 'Azbuk, the chief of the half district of Beth-zur, as far as the place opposite to the sepulchres of David, and as far as the pool that was [newly] made, and as far as the house of the mighty men.
17 Ő utána javítgatának a Léviták: Rehum, Báni fia, a ki mellett javítgata Hasábia, Kéila tartománya felének fejedelme, tartománya lakosaival;
Next to him repaired the Levites: Rechum the son of Bani. Alongside of him repaired Chashabyah, the chief of the half district of Ke'ilah, for his district.
18 Ő utána javítgatának atyjokfiai: Bavvai, a Hénadád fia, Kéila tartománya másik felének fejedelme;
Next to him repaired their brethren: Bavai the son of Chenadad, the chief of the [other] half district of Ke'ilah.
19 Javítgatá pedig ő mellette Ézer, Jésuának fia, Mispa fejedelme, a kőfal egy másik darabját, a szegleten levő fegyveresház felmenetelének ellenébe;
And there repaired alongside of him 'Ezer the son of Joshua, the chief of Mizpah, another division, opposite to the ascent to the armory at the angle.
20 Ő utána Bárukh, Zakkai fia javítgatá buzgósággal a kőfal egy másik darabját, a szeglettől fogva Eliásib főpap házának ajtajáig:
Next to him did Baruch the son of Zaccai' earnestly repair another division, from the angle as far as the door of the house of Elyashib the high priest.
21 Ő utána javítgata Merémóth Uriásnak fia, a ki Hakkós fia vala, egy másik darabot, Eliásib házának ajtajától Eliásib házának végéig;
Next to him repaired Meremoth the son of Uriyah the son of Hakkoz another division, from the door of the house of Elyashib even as far as the end of the house of Elyashib.
22 Ő utána javítgatának a papok, a környék férfiai;
And next to him repaired the priests, the men of the plain [of Jordan].
23 Ezek után javítgata Benjámin és Hassub, az ő házok ellenébe, utánok pedig javítgata Azariás, Maaséja fia – a ki Ananiás fia vala – az ő háza mellett;
Next to him repaired Benjamin and Chashub opposite to their house. Next to him repaired 'Azaryah the son of Ma'aseyah the son of 'Ananyah alongside of his house.
24 Ő utánok javítgata Binnui, a Hénadád fia egy másik darabot, Azáriás házától mind a zugig és szegletig;
Next to him repaired Binnui the son of Chenadad another division, from the house of 'Azaryah as far as the angle, and as far as the corner.
25 Továbbá Palál, az Uzai fia, a szegletnek és a felső toronynak ellenébe, mely a király házából a tömlöcz udvaránál emelkedik ki; utána pedig Pedája, a Parós fia;
Palal the son of Uzai [repaired] from opposite to the angle, and the tower which standeth out from the king's upper house, that was by the court of the prison. Next to him Pedayah the son of Par'osh.
26 (A Léviták szolgái pedig laknak vala az Ófelben, a vizek kapujának ellenéig napkelet felé és a kiemelkedő torony ellenéig; )
And the temple-servants dwelt on the hill fort, [and they built] as far as opposite to the water-gate toward the east, and the tower that standeth out.
27 Ő utána javítgatának a Tékoabeliek egy másik darabot a kiemelkedő nagy toronynak ellenétől fogva az Ófel kőfaláig;
Next to them repaired the Teko'ites another division from opposite the great tower that standeth out, and as far as the wall of the hill fort.
28 A lovak kapuján felül javítgatának a papok, kiki az ő házának ellenébe;
From above the horse-gate repaired the priests, every one opposite to his house.
29 Utánok javítgata Sádók, Immér fia az ő háza ellenébe; és ő utána javítgata Semája, Sekaniás fia, a napkeleti kapu őrizője;
Next to this repaired Zadok the son of Immer opposite to his house. And next to him repaired Shema'yah the son of Schechanyah, the keeper of the east gate.
30 Ő utána javítgata Hananiás, Selemiás fia és Hánun, Sáláfnak hatodik fia egy másik darabot; utánok javítgata Mesullám, Berekiás fia, az ő szobája ellenébe;
Next to him repaired Chananyah the son of Shelemyah, and Chanun the sixth son of Zalaph another division. Next to him repaired Meshullam the son of Berechyah opposite to his chamber.
31 Utána javítgata Malkija, az ötvösök egyike, a Léviták szolgáinak és a kereskedőknek házáig, a törvénytevő ház kapujának ellenébe, a szegletnek hágójáig;
Next to him repaired Malkiyah the goldsmith's son as far as the house of the temple-servants, and of the merchants, opposite to the mustering-gate, and to the upper chamber of the corner.
32 A szeglet hágója és a juhok kapuja között pedig javítgatának az ötvösök és a kereskedők.
And between the upper chamber of the corner and the sheep-gate repaired the goldsmiths and the merchants.
