Márk 14
1 Két nap mulva pedig húsvét vala és a kovásztalan kenyerek ünnepe. És a főpapok és az írástudók tanakodnak vala, hogy csalárdsággal mimódon fogják meg és öljék meg őt.
After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread. And the chief priests and the scribes were contriving how they might take Jesus by surprise, and kill him.
2 Mert azt mondják vala: Ne az ünnepen, hogy a nép fel ne zendüljön.
They said, however, Not during the festival, for fear of an insurrection among the people.
3 Mikor pedig Bethániában a poklos Simon házánál vala, a mint asztalhoz üle, egy asszony méne oda, a kinél alabástrom edény vala valódi és igen drága nárdus olajjal; és eltörvén az alabástrom edényt kitölté azt az ő fejére.
Now being at table in Bethany, in the house of Simon, formerly a leper, there came a woman with an alabaster box of the balsam of spikenard, which was very costly; and she broken open the box, and poured the liquor upon his head.
4 Némelyek pedig háborognak vala magok között és mondának: Mire való volt az olajnak ez a tékozlása?
There were some present, who said with indignation, Why this profusion of the balsam?
5 Mert el lehetett volna azt adni háromszáz pénznél is többért, és odaadni a szegényeknek. És zúgolódnak vala ellene.
For it could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii, which might have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
6 Jézus pedig monda: Hagyjatok békét néki; miért bántjátok őt? jó dolgot cselekedett én velem.
But Jesus said, Let her alone. Why do you molest her? She has done me a good office.
7 Mert a szegények mindenkor veletek lesznek, és a mikor csak akarjátok, jót tehettek velök; de én nem leszek mindenkor veletek.
For you will have the poor always amongst you, and can do them good whenever you please; but me you will not always have.
8 Ő a mi tőle telt, azt tevé: előre megkente az én testemet a temetésre.
She has done what she could. She has beforehand embalmed my body for the funeral.
9 Bizony mondom néktek: Valahol csak prédikálják ezt az evangyéliomot az egész világon, a mit ez az asszony cselekedett, azt is hirdetni fogják az ő emlékezetére.
Indeed, I say to you, in whatsoever corner of the world the glad tidings shall be proclaimed, what this woman has now done, shall be mentioned to her honor.
10 Akkor Júdás, az Iskariotes, egy a tizenkettő közül, elméne a főpapokhoz, hogy őt azoknak elárulja.
Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, repaired to the chief priests, to betray Jesus to them.
11 Azok pedig, a mint meghallák, örvendezének, és igérék, hogy pénzt adnak néki. Ő pedig keresi vala, mimódon árulhatná el őt jó alkalommal.
And they listened to him with joy, and promised to give him money. Afterward he sought a favorable opportunity to deliver him up.
12 És a kovásztalan kenyerek ünnepének első napján, mikor a húsvéti bárányt vágják vala, mondának néki az ő tanítványai: Hol akarod, hogy elmenvén megkészítsük, hogy megehesd a húsvéti bárányt?
Now the first day of unleavened bread, when the passover is sacrificed, his disciples said to him, Whither shall we go to prepare for your eating the passover?
13 Akkor elkülde kettőt az ő tanítványai közül, és monda nékik: Menjetek el a városba, és egy ember jő előtökbe, a ki egy korsó vizet visz; kövessétek őt,
Then he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, Go into the city, where you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water; follow him;
14 És a hová bemegy, mondjátok a házi gazdának: A Mester kérdi: hol van az a szállás, a hol megeszem az én tanítványaimmal a húsvéti bárányt?
and wherever he shall enter, say to the master of the house, The Teacher says, Where is the guest chamber, in which I may eat the passover with my disciples?
15 És ő mutat néktek egy nagy vacsoráló házat berendezve, készen: ott készítsétek el nékünk.
And he will show you a large upper room ready furnished. There prepare for us.
16 Elmenének azért az ő tanítványai, és jutának a városba, és úgy találák, a mint nékik megmondotta, és elkészíték a húsvéti bárányt.
Accordingly, his disciples went away, and being come into the city, found everything as he had told them, and prepared the passover.
17 Mikor pedig este lőn, oda méne a tizenkettővel.
In the evening he went thither with the twelve.
18 És a mikor leülnek és esznek vala monda Jézus: Bizony mondom néktek, egy közületek elárul engem, a ki velem eszik.
As they were at table eating, Jesus said, Indeed, I say to you, that one of you who eats with me, will betray me.
19 Ők pedig kezdének szomorkodni és néki egyenként mondani: Csak nem én? A másik is: Csak nem én?
Upon this they became very sorrowful; and asked him, all of them, one after another, Is it I?
20 Ő pedig felelvén, monda nékik: Egy a tizenkettő közül, a ki velem együtt márt a tálba.
He answering, said to them, It is one of the twelve; he who dips his morsel in the dish with me.
21 Az embernek Fia jóllehet elmegy, a mint meg van írva felőle; de jaj annak az embernek, a ki az embernek Fiát elárulja; jobb lenne annak az embernek, ha nem született volna.
The Son of Man departs in the manner foretold in the scripture concerning him; but alas for that man! by whom the Son of Man is betrayed: it had been better for that man never to have been born.
22 És mikor ők evének, vévén Jézus a kenyeret, és hálákat adván, megtöré és adá nékik, mondván: Vegyétek, egyétek; ez az én testem.
While they were at supper, Jesus took bread, and after blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, Take; this is my body.
23 És vévén a poharat, és hálákat adván, adá nékik; és ivának abból mindnyájan;
Then he took the cup, and having given thanks, gave it to them; and they all drank of it.
24 És monda nékik: Ez az én vérem, az új szövetség vére, a mely sokakért kiontatik.
And he said to them, This is my blood, the blood of the new institution, shed for many.
25 Bizony mondom néktek, nem iszom többé a szőlőtőnek gyümölcséből mind ama napig, a mikor mint újat iszom azt az Isten országában.
Indeed, I say to you, that I will drink no more of the product of the vine, till that day when I shall drink it new in the kingdom of God.
26 És dicséretet énekelve kimenének az olajfák hegyére.
And after the hymn, they went to the Mount of Olives.
27 És monda nékik Jézus: Ezen az éjszakán mindnyájan megbotránkoztok bennem; mert meg van írva: Megverem a pásztort, és elszélednek a juhok.
And Jesus said to them, This night I shall prove a stumbling stone to you all; for it is written, "I will smite the Shepherd, and the sheep shall be dispersed."
28 De feltámadásom után előttetek fogok felmenni Galileába.
Nevertheless, after I am raised again, I will go before you to Galilee.
29 Péter pedig monda néki: Ha mindnyájan megbotránkoznak is, de én nem.
Peter then said to him, Though they all should stumble, I never will.
30 És monda néki Jézus: Bizony mondom néked, hogy ma, ezen az éjszakán, mielőtt a kakas kétszer szólana, háromszor tagadsz meg engem.
Jesus answered him, Indeed, I say to you, that to-day, this very night, before the cock crow twice, even you will disown me thrice.
31 Ő pedig annál inkább erősíti vala: Ha veled együtt kell is meghalnom, semmiképen meg nem tagadlak téged. Hasonlóképen szólanak vala a többiek is.
But Peter insisted on it, adding, Although I should die with you, I will never disown you. And all the rest said the same.
32 És menének ama helyre, a melynek Gecsemáné a neve; és monda az ő tanítványainak: Üljetek le itt, a míg imádkozom.
Then they came to a place named Gethsemane, where he said to his disciples, Stay here while I pray.
33 És maga mellé vevé Pétert és Jakabot és Jánost, és kezde rettegni és gyötrődni;
And he took with him Peter, and James, and John, and being seized with grief and horror,
34 És monda nékik: Szomorú az én lelkem mind halálig; maradjatok itt, és vigyázzatok.
said to them, My soul is overwhelmed with a deadly anguish; tarry here and watch.
35 És egy kevéssé előre menvén, a földre esék, és imádkozék, hogy, ha lehetséges, múljék el tőle ez az óra;
And going a little before, he threw himself on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, he might be delivered from that hour,
36 És monda: Abba, Atyám! Minden lehetséges néked. Vidd el tőlem ezt a poharat; mindazáltal ne az én akaratom legyen meg, hanem a tied.
and said, Abba, (that is, Father, ) all things are possible to thee; take this cup away from me; yet not what I would, but what thou wilt.
37 Azután visszatére és aluva találá őket, és monda Péternek: Simon, alszol? Nem bírtál egy óráig vigyázni?
Then he returned, and finding them asleep, said to Peter, Simon, do you sleep? Could you not keep awake a single hour?
38 Vigyázzatok és imádkozzatok, hogy kísértetbe ne jussatok; a lélek ugyan kész, de a test erőtelen.
Watch and pray, that you be not overcome by temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
39 És ismét elmenvén, imádkozék, ugyanazon szavakkal szólván.
Again, he retired and prayed, using the same words.
40 A mikor pedig visszatére, ismét aluva találá őket; mert a szemeik megnehezedtek vala, és nem tudták mit feleljenek néki.
When he returned, he again found them sleeping; for their eyes were overpowered, and they knew not what to answer him.
41 Harmadszor is jöve, és monda nékik: Aludjatok immár és nyugodjatok. Elég; eljött az óra; ímé az embernek Fia a bűnösök kezébe adatik.
A third time he came, and said to them, Do you now sleep, and take your rest? All is over: the hour is come: and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners.
42 Keljetek föl, menjünk: ímé elközelgett, a ki engem elárul.
Arise. Let us be going. Lo! he who betrays me is drawing near.
43 És mindjárt még mikor ő szól vala, eljöve Júdás, egy a tizenkettő közül, és vele együtt nagy sokaság, fegyverekkel és botokkal, a főpapoktól, az írástudóktól és a vénektől.
Immediately, before he had done speaking, appeared Judas, one of the twelve, with a great multitude armed with swords and clubs, who were sent by the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders.
44 Az ő elárulója pedig jelt ada nékik, mondván: A kit megcsókolok majd, ő az; fogjátok meg azt, és vigyétek el biztonsággal.
Now the betrayer had given them this signal: The man whom I shall kiss, is he; seize him, and lead him away safely.
45 És odajutván, azonnal hozzáméne, és monda: Mester! Mester! és megcsókolá őt.
He was no sooner come, than accosting Jesus, he said, Rabbi, Rabbi, and kissed him.
46 Azok pedig ráveték kezeiket, és megfogák őt.
Then they laid hands on him and seized him.
47 De egy az ott állók közül az ő szablyáját kivonván, a főpap szolgájához csapa, és levágá annak fülét.
But one of those who were present, drew his sword, and smiting the high priest's servant, cut off his ear.
48 Jézus pedig felelvén, monda nékik: Mint egy rablóra, úgy jöttetek-é reám fegyverekkel és botokkal, hogy megfogjatok engem?!
Then Jesus addressing them, said, Do you come with swords and clubs to apprehend me, like people in pursuit of a robber?
49 Naponta nálatok valék, a templomban tanítva, és nem fogtatok meg engem; de szükség, hogy az írások beteljesedjenek.
I was daily amongst you, teaching in the temple, and you did not arrest me. But in this the scriptures are accomplished.
50 Akkor elhagyván őt, mindnyájan elfutának.
Then they all forsook him and fled.
51 Egy ifjú pedig követé őt, a kinek testét csak egy gyolcs ing takarta; és megfogák őt az ifjak.
Now there followed him a youth, who had only a linen cloth wrapped about his body; the soldiers having laid hold of him,
52 De ő ott hagyva az ingét, meztelenül elszalada tőlük.
he left the cloth, and fled from them naked.
53 És vivék Jézust a főpaphoz. És oda gyűlének mindnyájan a főpapok, a vének és az írástudók.
Then they took Jesus away to the high priest, with whom all the chief priests, the elders, and the scribes, were convened.
54 Péter pedig távolról követé őt, be egészen a főpap udvaráig: és ott üle a szolgákkal, és melegszik vala a tűznél.
And Peter followed him at a distance, as far as the court of the high priest's house, and sat there with the officers, warming himself at the fire.
55 A főpapok pedig és az egész tanács bizonyságot keresnek vala Jézus ellen, hogy megölhessék őt; de nem találnak vala.
Meanwhile, the chief priests, and all the Sanhedrin, sought for evidence against Jesus, in order to condemn him to die, but found none:
56 Mert sokan tesznek vala ugyan hamis tanúbizonyságot ellene, de a bizonyságtételek nem valának megegyezők.
for many gave false testimony against him, but their testimonies were insufficient.
57 És némelyek fölkelének és hamis tanúbizonyságot tőnek ellene, mondván:
The some arose, who testified falsely against him, saying,
58 Mi hallottuk, mikor ezt mondá: Én lerontom ezt a kézzel csinált templomot, és három nap alatt mást építek, a mely nem kézzel csináltatott.
We heard him say, I will demolish this temple made with hands, and in three days will build another without hands.
59 De még így sem vala egyező az ő bizonyságtételük.
But even here their testimony was defective.
60 Akkor a főpap odaállván a középre, megkérdé Jézust, mondván: Semmit sem felelsz-é? Miféle bizonyságot tesznek ezek te ellened?
Then the high priest, standing up in the midst, interrogated Jesus, saying, Do you answer nothing to what these men testify against you?
61 Ő pedig hallgat vala, és semmit sem felele. Ismét megkérdezé őt a főpap, és monda néki: Te vagy-é a Krisztus, az áldott Isten Fia?
But he was silent, and gave no answer. Again, the high priest interrogating him, said, Are you the Messiah, the Son of the blessed One?
62 Jézus pedig monda: Én vagyok. És meglátjátok majd az embernek Fiát ülni a hatalomnak jobbján, és eljőni az ég felhőivel.
Jesus answered, I am; nay, you shall see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Almighty, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
63 A főpap pedig megszaggatván ruháit, monda: Mi szükségünk van még tanúkra?
Then the high priest rent his garments, saying, What further need have we of witnesses?
64 Hallátok a káromlást. Mi tetszik néktek? Azok pedig halálra méltónak ítélték őt mindnyájan.
You have heard the blasphemy. What is your opinion? And they all pronounced him worthy of death.
65 És kezdék őt némelyek köpdösni, és az ő orczáját elfedni, és őt öklözni, és mondani néki: Prófétálj! A szolgák pedig arczul csapdossák vala őt.
Then some began to spit on him; others to cover his face and buffet him, saying to him, Divine who it is. And the officers gave him blows on the cheeks.
66 A mint pedig Péter lent vala az udvarban, odajöve egy a főpap szolgálói közül;
Now Peter being below in the court, one of the maids of the high priest came thither,
67 És meglátván Pétert, a mint melegszik vala, rátekintvén, monda: Te is a Názáreti Jézussal valál!
who seeing Peter warming himself, looked on him, and said, You also were with the Nazarene Jesus.
68 Ő pedig megtagadá, mondván: Nem ismerem, s nem is értem, mit mondasz. És kiméne a tornáczra; és a kakas megszólala.
But he denied it, saying, I know him not: nor do I understand what you mean. Immediately he went out into the portico, and the cock crew.
69 A szolgáló pedig meglátva őt, kezdé ismét mondani az ott állóknak: Ez közülök való.
The maid seeing him again, said to the bystanders, This is one of them.
70 Ő pedig ismét megtagadá. De kevés idő múlva az ott állók ismét mondják vala Péternek: Bizony közülök való vagy; mert Galileabeli is vagy, és a beszéded is hasonló.
Again he denied. And a little after, those who were present said to Peter, You are certainly one of them; for you are a Galilean, your speech shows it.
71 Ő pedig kezde átkozódni és esküdözni, hogy: Nem ismerem azt az embert, a kiről beszéltek.
Upon this he affirmed, with imprecations, and oaths, that he did not know the man of whom they spoke.
72 És másodszor szóla a kakas. És Péternek eszébe juta a beszéd, a melyet néki Jézus mondott vala, hogy mielőtt a kakas kétszer szólana, háromszor megtagadsz engem. És sírva fakada.
The cock crew the second time: and Peter recollected the word which Jesus had said to him, Before the cock crow twice, you will disown me thrice. And reflecting upon this, he wept.
