Malakiás 1

1 Az Úr igéjének terhe Izráel ellen, Malakiás által.

[the] oracle of [the] word of Yahweh to Israel by [the] hand of Malachi.

2 Szerettelek titeket, azt mondja az Úr, és azt mondjátok: Miben szerettél minket? Avagy nem atyjafia vala-é Ézsau Jákóbnak? azt mondja az Úr: Jákóbot pedig szerettem;

I have loved you he says Yahweh and you say how? have you loved us ¿ not [did] a brother Esau [belong] to Jacob [the] utterance of Yahweh and I loved Jacob.

3 Ézsaut ellenben gyűlöltem, és az ő hegyeit pusztává tettem, örökségét pedig pusztai sakálokévá.

4 Ha azt mondja Edom: Elpusztultunk; de térjünk meg és építsük fel a romladékokat: ezt mondja a Seregeknek Ura: Ők építenek, de én elrontom, és elnevezik őket istentelenség határának és oly népnek, a melyre örökké haragszik az Úr.

For it will say Edom we have been shattered and we may return so we may rebuild [the] ruins thus he says Yahweh of hosts they they will build and I I will tear down and people will call them a territory of wickedness and the people which he was indignant Yahweh until perpetuity.

5 És látják ezt a ti szemeitek, és magatok is mondjátok: Nagy az Úr az Izráel határa felett.

And eyes your they will see and you you will say he is great Yahweh over [the] border of Israel.

6 A fiú tiszteli atyját, a szolga is az ő urát. És ha én atya vagyok: hol az én tisztességem? És ha én úr vagyok, hol az én félelmem? azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura néktek, ti papok, a kik útáljátok az én nevemet, és ezt mondjátok: Mivel útáljuk a te nevedet?

8 Hogyha vakot hoztok áldozatul: Nem bűn-é az? vagy ha sántát hoztok és bénát: nem bűn-é az? Vidd csak azt a te fejedelmednek: vajjon kedvvel fogad-é, avagy reád tekint-é? azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura.

And if you bring near! a blind [animal] to sacrifice not? [is it] evil and if you bring near a lame [animal] and a sick [animal] [is it] not? evil bring near it please to governor your ¿ will he be pleased with you or ¿ will he lift up face your he says Yahweh of hosts.

9 Most azért engeszteljétek meg az Istennek orczáját, hogy könyörüljön rajtunk. Általatok van ez, elnézheti-é ezt néktek? azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura.

And now entreat please [the] face of God so he may show favor to us from hand your it was this ¿ will he lift up any of you face he says Yahweh of hosts.

10 Vajha valaki közületek bezárná az ajtót, hiába ne tüzelnétek az én oltáromon! Nem telik kedvem bennetek, azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura; az ételáldozatot sem kedvelem a ti kezetekből!

11 Hiszen napkelettől fogva napnyugotig nagy az én nevem a pogányok között, és minden helyen tömjénnel áldoznak az én nevemnek és tiszta ételáldozattal! Bizony nagy az én nevem a pogányok között! azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura.

For from [the] rising of [the] sun and to setting its [is] great name my among the nations and in every place incense [is being] brought near to name my and an offering a pure for [is] great name my among the nations he says Yahweh of hosts.

12 Ti pedig meggyalázzátok azt, mikor azt mondjátok: Az Úrnak asztala megvetni való, és annak jövedelme, eledele útálatos.

And you [are] profaning it by saying you [the] table of [the] Lord [is] defiled it and fruit its [is] despicable food its.

13 És azt mondjátok: Ímé, mily fáradság! és ráfújtok, azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura; pedig a rablottat hozzátok, meg a sántát és betegest; ételáldozatot is hoztok, de hát kedves-é az a ti kezetekből? azt mondja az Úr.

And you say there! what weariness! and you sniff at it he says Yahweh of hosts and you bring a stolen [animal] and the lame [animal] and the sick [animal] and you bring the offering ¿ will I accept it from hand your he says Yahweh.

14 Átkozott pedig az álnok! Van ugyan a nyájában hím, és fogadást is tesz: mégis hitványnyal áldozik az Úrnak. Pedig nagy király vagyok én, azt mondja a Seregeknek Ura, és félelmetes az én nevem a pogányok között!

And [be] cursed [one who] deals deceptively and there among flock his [is] a male and [one who] makes a vow and [one who] sacrifices a blemished [animal] to [the] Lord for [am] a king great I he says Yahweh of hosts and name my [is] feared among the nations.
