Jeremiás sir 3
1 Én vagyok az az ember, a ki nyomorúságot látott az ő haragjának vesszeje miatt.
ALEPH. I am the man that sees poverty, through the rod of his wrath upon me.
2 Engem vezérlett és járatott sötétségben és nem világosságban.
He has taken me, and led me away into darkness, and not [into] light.
3 Bizony ellenem fordult, ellenem fordítja kezét minden nap.
Nay, against me has he turned his hand all the day.
4 Megfonnyasztotta testemet és bőrömet, összeroncsolta csontjaimat.
He has made old my flesh and my skin; he has broken my bones.
5 Erősséget épített ellenem és körülvett méreggel és fáradsággal.
BETH. He has built against me, and compassed my head, and brought travail [upon me].
6 Sötét helyekre ültetett engem, mint az örökre meghaltakat.
He has set me in dark places, as them that have long been dead.
7 Körülkerített, hogy ki ne mehessek, nehézzé tette lánczomat.
He has builded against me, and I can’t come forth: he has made my brazen [chain] heavy.
8 Sőt ha kiáltok és segítségül hívom is, nem hallja meg imádságomat.
GIMEL. Yes, [though] I cry and shout, he shuts out my prayer.
9 Elkerítette az én útaimat terméskővel, ösvényeimet elforgatta.
DALETH. He has built up my ways, he has hedged my paths;
10 Ólálkodó medve ő nékem és lesben álló oroszlán.
he has troubled me, [as] a she-bear lying in wait: he is to me [as] a lion in secret places.
11 Útaimat elterelte, és darabokra vagdalt és elpusztított engem!
He pursued [me] after I departed, and brought me to a stand: he has utterly ruined me.
12 Kifeszítette kézívét, és a nyíl elé czélul állított engem!
HE. He has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
13 Veséimbe bocsátotta tegzének fiait.
He has caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.
14 Egész népemnek csúfjává lettem, és gúnydalukká napestig.
I became a laughing stock to all my people; and their song all the day.
15 Eltöltött engem keserűséggel, megrészegített engem ürömmel.
VAU. He has filled me with bitterness, he has drenched me with gall.
16 És kova-kővel tördelte ki fogaimat; porba tiprott engem.
And he has dashed out my teeth with gravel, he has fed me with ashes.
17 És kizártad lelkem a békességből; elfeledkeztem a jóról.
He has also removed my soul from peace: I forgot prosperity.
18 És mondám: Elveszett az én erőm és az én reménységem az Úrban.
Therefore my success has perished, and my hope from the Lord.
19 Emlékezzél meg az én nyomorúságomról és eltapodtatásomról, az ürömről és a méregről!
ZAIN. I remembered by reason of my poverty, and because of persecution my bitterness and gall shall be remembered;
20 Vissza-visszaemlékezik, és megalázódik bennem az én lelkem.
and my soul shall meditate with me.
21 Ezt veszem szívemre, azért bízom.
This will I lay up in my heart, therefore I will endure.
22 Az Úr kegyelmessége az, hogy még nincsen végünk; mivel nem fogyatkozik el az ő irgalmassága!
HETH. [It is] the mercies of the Lord, that he has not failed me, because his compassions are not exhausted. Pity [us], O Lord, early [every] month: for we are not brought to an end, because his compassions are not exhausted.
23 Minden reggel meg-megújul; nagy a te hűséged!
[They are] new every morning: great is your faithfulness.
24 Az Úr az én örökségem, mondja az én lelkem, azért benne bízom.
The Lord is my portion, says my soul; therefore will I wait for him.
25 Jó az Úr azoknak, a kik várják őt; a léleknek, a mely keresi őt.
TETH. The Lord is good to them that wait for him: the soul which shall seek him
26 Jó várni és megadással lenni az Úr szabadításáig.
[is] good, and shall wait for, and quietly expect salvation of the Lord.
27 Jó a férfiúnak, ha igát visel ifjúságában.
TETH. [It is] good for a man when he bears a yoke in his youth.
28 Egyedül ül és hallgat, mert felvette magára.
He will sit alone, and be silent, because he has borne [it] upon him.
29 Porba teszi száját, mondván: Talán van még reménység?
30 Orczáját tartja az őt verőnek, megelégszik gyalázattal.
JOD. He will give [his] cheek to him that smites him: he will be filled full with reproaches.
31 Mert nem zár ki örökre az Úr.
For the Lord will not reject for ever.
32 Sőt, ha megszomorít, meg is vígasztal az ő kegyelmességének gazdagsága szerint.
CHAPH. For he that has brought down will pity, and [that] according to the abundance of his mercy.
33 Mert nem szíve szerint veri és szomorítja meg az embernek fiát.
He has not answered [in anger] from his heart, though he has brought low the children of a man.
34 Hogy lábai alá tiporja valaki a föld minden foglyát;
LAMED. To bring down under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,
35 Hogy elfordíttassék az ember ítélete a Magasságosnak színe előtt;
to turn aside the judgment of a man before the face of the Most High,
36 Hogy elnyomassék az ember az ő peres dolgában: ezt az Úr nem nézi el.
to condemn a man [unjustly] in his judgment, the Lord has not given commandment.
37 Kicsoda az, a ki szól és meglesz, ha nem parancsolja az Úr?
Who has thus spoken, and it has come to pass? the Lord has not commanded it.
38 A Magasságosnak szájából nem jő ki a gonosz és a jó.
Out of the mouth of the Most High there shall not come forth evil and good.
39 Mit zúgolódik az élő ember? Ki-ki a maga bűneiért bűnhődik.
MEM. Why should a living man complain, a man concerning his sin?
40 Tudakozzuk a mi útainkat és vizsgáljuk meg, és térjünk az Úrhoz.
NUN. Our way has been searched out and examined, and we will turn to the Lord.
41 Emeljük fel szíveinket kezeinkkel egyetemben Istenhez az égben.
Let us lift up our hearts with [our] hand to the lofty One in heaven.
42 Mi voltunk gonoszok és pártütők, azért nem bocsátottál meg.
We have sinned, we have transgressed; and you have not pardoned.
43 Felöltötted a haragot és üldöztél minket, öldököltél, nem kiméltél.
SAMECH. You has visited [us] in wrath, and driven us away: you has slain, you has not pitied.
44 Felöltötted a felhőt, hogy hozzád ne jusson az imádság.
You have veiled yourself with a cloud because of prayer, that I might be blind,
45 Sepredékké és útálattá tettél minket a népek között.
and be cast off. AIN. You have set us [alone] in the midst of the nations.
46 Feltátotta száját ellenünk minden ellenségünk.
All our enemies have opened their mouth against us.
47 Rettegés és tőr van mi rajtunk, pusztulás és romlás.
Fear and wrath are come upon us, suspense and destruction.
48 Víz-patakok folynak alá az én szememből népem leányának romlása miatt.
Mine eye shall pour down torrents of water, for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
49 Szemem csörgedez és nem szünik meg, nincs pihenése,
PHE. Mine eye is drowned [with tears], and I will not be silent, so that there shall be no rest,
50 Míg ránk nem tekint és meg nem lát az Úr az égből.
until the Lord look down, and behold from heaven.
51 Szemem bánatba ejté lelkemet városomnak minden leányáért.
Mine eye shall prey upon my soul, because of all the daughters of the city.
52 Vadászva vadásztak reám, mint valami madárra, ellenségeim ok nélkül.
TSADE. The fowlers chased me as a sparrow, all mine enemies destroyed my life in a pit without cause,
53 Veremben fojtották meg életemet, és követ hánytak rám.
and laid a stone upon me.
54 Felüláradtak a vizek az én fejem felett; mondám: Kivágattam!
Water flowed over my head: I said, I am cut off.
55 Segítségül hívtam a te nevedet, oh Uram, a legalsó veremből.
KOPH. I called upon your name, O Lord, out of the lowest dungeon.
56 Hallottad az én szómat; ne rejtsd el füledet sóhajtásom és kiáltásom elől.
You heard my voice: close not your ears to my supplication.
57 Közelegj hozzám, mikor segítségül hívlak téged; mondd: Ne félj!
You drew near to my help: in the day wherein I called upon you you said to me, Fear not.
58 Pereld meg Uram lelkemnek perét; váltsd meg életemet.
RECHS. O Lord, you has pleaded the causes of my soul; you has redeemed my life.
59 Láttad, oh Uram, az én bántalmaztatásomat; ítéld meg ügyemet.
You have seen, O Lord, my troubles: you have judged my cause.
60 Láttad minden bosszúállásukat, minden ellenem való gondolatjokat.
You have seen all their vengeance, [you have looked] on all their devices against me.
61 Hallottad Uram az ő szidalmazásukat, minden ellenem való gondolatjokat;
CHSEN. You have heard their reproach [and] all their devices against me;
62 Az ellenem támadóknak ajkait, és ellenem való mindennapi szándékukat.
the lips of them that rose up against me, and their plots against me all the day;
63 Tekintsd meg leülésöket és felkelésöket; én vagyok az ő gúnydaluk.
their sitting down and their rising up: look you upon their eyes.
64 Fizess meg nékik, Uram, az ő kezeiknek munkája szerint.
You will render them a recompense, O Lord, according to the works of their hands.
65 Adj nékik szívbeli konokságot; átkodul reájok.
THAU. You will give them [as] a covering, the grief of my heart.
66 Üldözd haragodban, és veszesd el őket az Úr ege alól!
You will persecute them in anger, and will consume them from under the heaven, O Lord.
