Józsué 14

1 Ezek pedig azok, a miket örökségül vőnek el Izráel fiai a Kanaán földén, a miket örökségül adtak nékik Eleázár, a pap, Józsué, a Nún fia és az atyai fejedelmek, a kik valának Izráel fiainak nemzetségei felett;

And these [are that] which they inherited [the] people of Israel in [the] land of Canaan which they gave as a possession them Eleazar the priest and Joshua [the] son of Nun and [the] leaders of [the] fathers of the tribes of [the] people of Israel.

2 Sorsvetés által való örökségökül, (a mint megparancsolta vala az Úr Mózes által) a kilencz nemzetségnek és a félnemzetségnek:

By [the] allotted portion of inheritance their just as he had commanded Yahweh by [the] hand of Moses for [the] nine the tribes and [the] half of the tribe.

3 Mert két nemzetségnek és fél nemzetségnek a Jordánon túl adott vala Mózes örökséget, a Lévitáknak pedig nem adott vala örökséget ő közöttök.

For he had given Moses [the] inheritance of [the] two the tribes and [the] half of the tribe from [the] other side of the Jordan and to the Levites not he had given an inheritance in midst of them.

4 Mert a József fiai két nemzetség voltak: Manassé és Efraim; a Lévitáknak pedig nem adtak osztályrészt a földből, hanem csak városokat lakásul és az azokhoz való legelőket barmaik és marháik számára.

For they were [the] descendants of Joseph two tribes Manasseh and Ephraim and not people gave a portion to the Levites in the land that except cities to dwell in and pasture lands their for livestock their and for possession[s] their.

5 A mint megparancsolta vala az Úr Mózesnek, úgy cselekedének az Izráel fiai, és úgy oszták fel a földet.

Just as he had commanded Yahweh Moses so they did [the] people of Israel and they apportioned the land.

6 Hozzámenének pedig Józsuéhoz Júdának fiai Gilgálba és monda néki a Kenizeus Káleb, Jefunné fia: Te tudod azt a dolgot, a melyet beszélt vala az Úr Mózesnek, az Isten emberének én felőlem és te felőled Kádes-Barneában.

And they approached [the] descendants of Judah to Joshua at Gilgal and he said to him Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite you you know the word which he spoke Yahweh to Moses [the] man of God on causes my and on causes your at Kadesh Barnea.

7 Negyven esztendős valék én, mikor elküldött engem Mózes az Úrnak szolgája Kádes-Barneából, hogy kikémleljem a földet, és úgy hoztam néki hírt, a mint az én szívemben vala.

[was] a son of Forty year[s] I when sent Moses [the] servant of Yahweh me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land and I brought back him a word just as with heart my.

8 Atyámfiai pedig, a kik feljöttek vala velem, elrémítették a népnek szívét, de én tökéletesen követtem az Urat, az én Istenemet.

And brothers my who they went up with me they melted [the] heart of the people and I I filled after Yahweh God my.

9 És megesküvék Mózes azon a napon, mondván: Bizony a föld, a melyet megtapodott a te lábad, tiéd lesz örökségül, és a te fiaidé mind örökké, mivelhogy tökéletesen követted az Urat, az én Istenemet.

And he swore an oath Moses on the day that saying if not the land which it trod foot your on it of you it will become an inheritance and of children your until perpetuity for you filled after Yahweh God my.

10 Most pedig, ímé megtartott engem az Úr életben, a mint szólott vala; most negyvenöt esztendeje, a mióta szólott vala az Úr e dologról Mózesnek, a mi alatt Izráel a pusztában bolyongott vala; és most ímé, nyolczvanöt esztendős vagyok!

And now here! he has let live Yahweh - me just as he spoke this forty and five year[s] from then he spoke Yahweh the word this to Moses when it walked Israel in the wilderness and now here! I this day [am] a son of five and eighty year[s].

11 Még ma is olyan erős vagyok, a milyen azon a napon voltam, a mikor elküldött engem Mózes; a milyen akkor volt az én erőm, most is olyan az én erőm a harczoláshoz és járásra-kelésre.

Still I this day [am] strong just as on [the] day sent me Moses as strength my then and as strength my now for the battle and to go out and to come.

12 Most azért add nékem ezt a hegyet, a melyről szólt vala az Úr azon a napon; mert magad is hallottad azon a napon, hogy Anákok vannak ott, és nagy, erősített városok; hátha velem lesz az Úr, és kiűzöm őket, a mint megmondotta az Úr.

And therefore give! to me the hill country this which he spoke Yahweh on the day that for you you heard on the day that that Anakites [were] there and cities large fortified perhaps Yahweh with me and I will dispossess them just as he spoke Yahweh.

13 És megáldá őt Józsué, és odaadá Hebront Kálebnek, a Jefunné fiának örökségül.

And he blessed him Joshua and he gave Hebron to Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh to an inheritance.

14 Azért lőn Hebron a Kenizeus Kálebé, a Jefunné fiáé, örökségül mind e mai napig, a miért hogy tökéletesen követte vala az Urat, Izráelnek Istenét.

There-fore it became Hebron of Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite an inheritance until the day this because that he filled after Yahweh [the] God of Israel.

15 A Hebron neve pedig annakelőtte Kirjáth-Arba volt; a ki a legnagyobb ember volt az Anákok között. A föld pedig megnyugodott a harcztól.

And [the] name of Hebron before [was] Kiriath Arba [who was] the man great among the Anakites he and the land it was at peace from war.
