János 8
1 Jézus pedig elméne az Olajfák hegyére.
And Iesus went vnto the mount of Oliues,
2 Jó reggel azonban ismét ott vala a templomban, és az egész nép hozzá méne; és leülvén, tanítja vala őket.
And early in the morning came againe into the Temple, and all the people came vnto him, and he sate downe, and taught them.
3 Az írástudók és a farizeusok pedig egy asszonyt vivének hozzá, a kit házasságtörésen kaptak vala, és a középre állítván azt,
Then the Scribes, and the Pharises brought vnto him a woman, taken in adulterie, and set her in the middes,
4 Mondának néki: Mester, ez az asszony tetten kapatott, mint házasságtörő.
And said vnto him, Master, we foud this woman committing adulterie, euen in the very acte.
5 A törvényben pedig megparancsolta nékünk Mózes, hogy az ilyenek köveztessenek meg: te azért mit mondasz?
Now Moses in our Law commanded, that such should be stoned: what sayest thou therefore?
6 Ezt pedig azért mondák, hogy megkísértsék őt, hogy legyen őt mivel vádolniok. Jézus pedig lehajolván, az ujjával ír vala a földre.
And this they saide to tempt him, that they might haue, whereof to accuse him. But Iesus stouped downe, and with his finger wrote on the groud.
7 De mikor szorgalmazva kérdezék őt, felegyenesedve monda nékik: A ki közületek nem bűnös, az vesse rá először a követ.
And while they continued asking him, hee lift himselfe vp, and sayde vnto them, Let him that is among you without sinne, cast the first stone at her.
8 És újra lehajolván, írt vala a földre.
And againe hee stouped downe, and wrote on the ground.
9 Azok pedig ezt hallván és a lelkiismeret által vádoltatván, egymásután kimenének a vénektől kezdve mind az utolsóig; és egyedül Jézus maradt vala és az asszony a középen állva.
And when they heard it, being accused by their owne conscience, they went out one by one, beginning at ye eldest euen to the last: so Iesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the mids.
10 Mikor pedig Jézus felegyenesedék és senkit sem láta az asszonyon kívül, monda néki: Asszony, hol vannak azok a te vádlóid? Senki sem kárhoztatott-é téged?
When Iesus had lift vp himselfe againe, and sawe no man, but the woman, hee saide vnto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 Az pedig monda: Senki, Uram! Jézus pedig monda néki: Én sem kárhoztatlak: eredj el és többé ne vétkezzél!
She said, No man, Lord. And Iesus said, Neither do I condemne thee: go and sinne no more.
12 Ismét szóla azért hozzájok Jézus, mondván: Én vagyok a világ világossága: a ki engem követ, nem járhat a sötétségben, hanem övé lesz az életnek világossága.
Then spake Iesus againe vnto them, saying, I am that light of the worlde: hee that followeth mee, shall not walke in darkenes, but shall haue that light of life.
13 Mondának azért néki a farizeusok: Te magadról teszel bizonyságot; a te bizonyságtételed nem igaz.
The Pharises therefore saide vnto him, Thou bearest recorde of thy selfe: thy recorde is not true.
14 Felele Jézus és monda nékik: Ha magam teszek is bizonyságot magamról, az én bizonyságtételem igaz; mert tudom honnan jöttem és hová megyek; ti pedig nem tudjátok honnan jövök és hová megyek.
Iesus answered, and sayde vnto them, Though I beare recorde of my selfe, yet my recorde is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go: but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I goe.
15 Ti test szerint ítéltek, én nem ítélek senkit.
Ye iudge after the flesh: I iudge no man.
16 De ha ítélek is én, az én ítéletem igaz; mert én nem egyedül vagyok, hanem én és az Atya, a ki küldött engem.
And if I also iudge, my iudgement is true: for I am not alone, but I, and the Father, that sent mee.
17 A ti törvényetekben is meg van pedig írva, hogy két ember bizonyságtétele igaz.
And it is also written in your Lawe, that the testimonie of two men is true.
18 Én vagyok a ki bizonyságot teszek magamról, és bizonyságot tesz rólam az Atya, a ki küldött engem.
I am one that beare witnes of my selfe, and the Father that sent me, beareth witnes of me.
19 Mondának azért néki: Hol van a te Atyád? Felele Jézus: Sem engem nem ismertek, sem az én Atyámat; ha engem ismernétek, az én Atyámat is ismernétek.
Then saide they vnto him, Where is that Father of thine? Iesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor that Father of mine. If ye had knowen me, ye should haue knowen that Father of mine also.
20 Ezeket a beszédeket mondá Jézus a kincstartó helyen, a mikor tanít vala a templomban; és senki sem fogta meg őt, mert még nem jött el az ő órája.
These wordes spake Iesus in the treasurie, as hee taught in the Temple, and no man layde handes on him: for his houre was not yet come.
21 Ismét monda azért nékik Jézus: Én elmegyek, és kerestek majd engem, és a ti bűneitekben fogtok meghalni: a hová én megyek, ti nem jöhettek oda.
Then saide Iesus againe vnto them, I goe my way, and ye shall seeke me, and shall die in your sinnes, Whither I goe, can ye not come.
22 Mondának azért a zsidók: Avagy megöli-é magát, hogy azt mondja: A hová én megyek, ti nem jöhettek oda?
Then said the Iewes, Will he kill himselfe, because he saith, Whither I goe, can ye not come?
23 És monda nékik: Ti innét alól valók vagytok, én onnét felül való vagyok; ti e világból valók vagytok, én nem vagyok e világból való.
And hee saide vnto them, Ye are from beneath, I am from aboue: ye are of this world, I am not of this worlde.
24 Azért mondám néktek, hogy a ti bűneitekben haltok meg: mert ha nem hiszitek, hogy én vagyok, meghaltok a ti bűneitekben.
I said therefore vnto you, That ye shall die in your sinnes: for except ye beleeue, that I am he, ye shall die in your sinnes.
25 Mondának azért néki: Ki vagy te? És monda nékik Jézus: A mit eleitől fogva mondok is néktek.
Then saide they vnto him, Who art thou? And Iesus saide vnto them, Euen the same thing that I said vnto you from the beginning.
26 Sok beszélni és ítélni valóm van felőletek: de igaz az, a ki küldött engem; és én azokat beszélem a világnak, a miket tőle hallottam vala.
I haue many things to say, and to iudge of you: but he that sent me, is true, and the things that I haue heard of him, those speake I to the world.
27 Nem vevék észre, hogy az Atyáról szól vala nékik.
They vnderstoode not that hee spake to them of the Father.
28 Monda azért nékik Jézus: Mikor felemelitek az embernek Fiát, akkor megismeritek, hogy én vagyok és semmit sem cselekszem magamtól, hanem a mint az Atya tanított engem, úgy szólok.
Then said Iesus vnto them, When ye haue lift vp the Sonne of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I doe nothing of my selfe, but as my Father hath taught me, so I speake these things.
29 És a ki küldött engem, én velem van. Nem hagyott engem az Atya egyedül, mert én mindenkor azokat cselekszem, a melyek néki kedvesek.
For he that sent me, is with me: the Father hath not left me alone, because I do alwayes those things that please him.
30 A mikor ezeket mondá, sokan hivének ő benne.
As hee spake these thinges, many beleeued in him.
31 Monda azért Jézus a benne hívő zsidóknak: Ha ti megmaradtok az én beszédemben, bizonynyal az én tanítványaim vagytok;
Then saide Iesus to the Iewes which beleeued in him, If ye continue in my worde, ye are verely my disciples,
32 És megismeritek az igazságot, és az igazság szabadokká tesz titeket.
And shall know the trueth, and the trueth shall make you free.
33 Felelének néki: Ábrahám magva vagyunk, és nem szolgáltunk soha senkinek: mimódon mondod te, hogy szabadokká lesztek?
They answered him, Wee be Abrahams seede, and were neuer bonde to any man: why sayest thou then, Ye shalbe made free?
34 Felele nékik Jézus: Bizony, bizony mondom néktek, hogy mindaz, a ki bűnt cselekszik, szolgája a bűnnek.
Iesus answered them, Verely, verely I say vnto you, that whosoeuer committeth sinne, is the seruant of sinne.
And the seruant abideth not in the house for euer: but the Sonne abideth for euer. (aiōn g165)
36 Azért ha a Fiú megszabadít titeket, valósággal szabadok lesztek.
If that Sonne therefore shall make you free, ye shalbe free in deede.
37 Tudom, hogy Ábrahám magva vagytok; de meg akartok engem ölni, mert az én beszédemnek nincs helye nálatok.
I know that ye are Abrahams seede, but yee seeke to kill mee, because my worde hath no place in you.
38 Én azt beszélem, a mit az én Atyámnál láttam; ti is azt cselekszitek azért, a mit a ti atyátoknál láttatok.
I speake that which I haue seene with my Father: and ye doe that which ye haue seene with your father.
39 Felelének és mondának néki: A mi atyánk Ábrahám. Monda nékik Jézus: Ha Ábrahám gyermekei volnátok, az Ábrahám dolgait cselekednétek.
They answered, and saide vnto him, Abraham is our father. Iesus said vnto them, If ye were Abrahams children, ye woulde doe the workes of Abraham.
40 Ámde meg akartok engem ölni, olyan embert, a ki az igazságot beszéltem néktek, a melyet az Istentől hallottam. Ábrahám ezt nem cselekedte.
But nowe ye goe about to kill mee, a man that haue told you the trueth, which I haue heard of God: this did not Abraham.
41 Ti a ti atyátok dolgait cselekszitek. Mondának azért néki: Mi nem paráznaságból születtünk; egy atyánk van, az Isten.
Ye do the workes of your father. Then said they to him, We are not borne of fornication: we haue one Father, which is God.
42 Monda azért nékik Jézus: Ha az Isten volna a ti atyátok, szeretnétek engem: mert én az Istentől származtam és jöttem; mert nem is magamtól jöttem, hanem ő küldött engem.
Therefore Iesus sayde vnto them, If God were your Father, then woulde ye loue mee: for I proceeded foorth, and came from God, neither came I of my selfe, but he sent me.
43 Miért nem értitek az én beszédemet? Mert nem hallgatjátok az én szómat.
Why doe ye not vnderstande my talke? because ye cannot heare my worde.
44 Ti az ördög atyától valók vagytok, és a ti atyátok kívánságait akarjátok teljesíteni. Az emberölő volt kezdettől fogva, és nem állott meg az igazságban, mert nincsen ő benne igazság. Mikor hazugságot szól, a sajátjából szól; mert hazug és hazugság atyja.
Ye are of your father the deuill, and the lustes of your father ye will doe: hee hath bene a murtherer from the beginning, and abode not in the trueth, because there is no trueth in him. When hee speaketh a lie, then speaketh hee of his owne: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.
45 Mivelhogy pedig én igazságot szólok, nem hisztek nékem.
And because I tell you the trueth, yee beleeue me not.
46 Ki vádol engem közületek bűnnel? Ha pedig igazságot szólok: miért nem hisztek ti nékem?
Which of you can rebuke me of sinne? and if I say the trueth, why do ye not beleeue me?
47 A ki az Istentől van, hallgatja az Isten beszédeit; azért nem hallgatjátok ti, mert nem vagytok az Istentől valók.
He that is of God, heareth Gods wordes: yee therefore heare them not, because ye are not of God.
48 Felelének azért a zsidók és mondának néki: Nem jól mondjuk-é mi, hogy te Samaritánus vagy, és ördög van benned?
Then answered the Iewes, and said vnto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritane, and hast a deuil?
49 Felele Jézus: Nincs én bennem ördög; hanem tisztelem az én Atyámat, és ti gyaláztok engem.
Iesus answered, I haue not a deuil, but I honour my Father, and ye haue dishonoured me.
50 Pedig én nem keresem az én dicsőségemet: van a ki keresi és megítéli.
And I seeke not mine owne praise: but there is one that seeketh it, and iudgeth.
51 Bizony, bizony mondom néktek, ha valaki megtartja az én beszédemet, nem lát halált soha örökké. (aiōn g165)
Verely, verely I say vnto you, If a man keepe my word, he shall neuer see death. (aiōn g165)
52 Mondának azért néki a zsidók: Most értettük meg, hogy ördög van benned. Ábrahám meghalt, a próféták is; és te azt mondod: Ha valaki megtartja az én beszédemet, nem kóstol halált örökké. (aiōn g165)
Then said the Iewes to him, Now know we that thou hast a deuill. Abraham is dead, and the Prophets: and thou sayest, If a man keepe my worde, he shall neuer taste of death. (aiōn g165)
53 Avagy nagyobb vagy-é te a mi atyánknál Ábrahámnál, a ki meghalt? A próféták is meghaltak: kinek állítod te magadat?
Art thou greater then our father Abraham, which is dead? and the Prophets are dead: whome makest thou thy selfe?
54 Felele Jézus: Ha én dicsőítem magamat, az én dicsőségem semmi: az én Atyám az, a ki dicsőít engem, a kiről ti azt mondjátok, hogy a ti Istenetek,
Iesus answered, If I honour my selfe, mine honour is nothing worth: it is my Father that honoureth me, whome ye say, that hee is your God.
55 És nem ismeritek őt: de én ismerem őt; és ha azt mondom, hogy nem ismerem őt, hozzátok hasonlóvá, hazuggá leszek: de ismerem őt, és az ő beszédét megtartom.
Yet ye haue not knowen him: but I knowe him, and if I should say I know him not, I should be a liar like vnto you: but I knowe him, and keepe his worde.
56 Ábrahám a ti atyátok örvendezett, hogy meglátja az én napomat; látta is, és örült.
Your father Abraham reioyced to see my day, and he sawe it, and was glad.
57 Mondának azért néki a zsidók: Még ötven esztendős nem vagy, és Ábrahámot láttad?
Then sayd ye Iewes vnto him, Thou art not yet fiftie yeere olde, and hast thou seene Abraham?
58 Monda nékik Jézus: Bizony, bizony mondom néktek: Mielőtt Ábrahám lett, én vagyok.
Iesus sayd vnto them, Verely, verely I say vnto you, before Abraham was, I am.
59 Köveket ragadának azért, hogy reá hajigálják; Jézus pedig elrejtőzködék, és kiméne a templomból, átmenvén közöttük; és ilyen módon eltávozék.
Then tooke they vp stones, to cast at him, but Iesus hid himselfe, and went out of the Temple: And hee passed through the middes of them, and so went his way.
