1 Mózes 19
1 Mikor a két angyal estére Sodomába jutott, Lót Sodoma kapujában űl vala, és a mint meglátá őket Lót, felkele eléjök, és arczczal a földre borúla.
And there came. ij. angells to Sodome at euen. And Lot satt at the gate of the cyte. And Lot sawe the and rose vp agaynst them and he bowed hym selfe to he grounde with his face.
2 És monda: Ímé én Uraim kérlek, térjetek be a ti szolgátok házához, és háljatok ott, és mossátok meg lábaitokat; reggel korán felkelhettek és indulhattok útatokra. Azok pedig mondának: Nem, hanem az utczán hálunk meg.
And he sayde: Se lordes turne in I praye you in to youre servauntes house and tary all nyghte and wash youre fete and ryse vp early and go on youre wayes. And they sayde: nay but we will byde in the streates all nyghte.
3 De nagyon unszolá őket, és betérének hozzá, és bemenének az ő házába; ő pedig szerze nékik vendégséget, és pogácsát is süte, és evének.
And he copelled them excedyngly. And they turned in vnto hym and entred in to his house and he made them a feaste and dyd bake swete cakes and they ate.
4 Lefekvésök előtt a város férfiai, Sodoma férfiai körűlvevék a házat, ifja, örege, mind az egész község egytől egyig.
But before they went to rest the men of the cyte of Sodome compassed the house rownde aboute both olde and yonge all the people from all quarters.
5 És szólíták Lótot, mondván néki: Hol vannak a férfiak, a kik te hozzád jövének az éjjel? Hozd ki azokat mi hozzánk, hadd ismerjük őket.
And they called vnto Lot and sayde vnto him: where are the men which came in to thy house to nyghte? brynge the out unto vs that we may do oure lust with them.
6 És kiméne Lót ő hozzájok az ajtó eleibe, és bezárá maga után az ajtót.
And Lot went out at doores vnto them and shote the dore after him
7 És monda: Kérlek atyámfiai, ne cselekedjetek gonoszságot.
and sayde: nay for goddes sake brethren do not so wekedly.
8 Ímé van énnékem két leányom, a kik még nem ismertek férfiat, kihozom azokat ti hozzátok, és cselekedjetek velök a mint néktek tetszik, csakhogy ezekkel az emberekkel ne csináljatok semmit, mivelhogy az én hajlékom árnyéka alá jöttenek.
Beholde I haue two doughters which haue knowne no man the will I brynge out vnto you: do with them as it semeth you good: Only vnto these men do nothynge for therfore came they vnder the shadowe of my rofe.
9 Azok pedig mondának: Eredj el innen. Ismét mondának: Ez egy maga nálunk a jövevény s ő szabja a törvényt? Majd gonoszbul cselekszünk veled, hogy nem azokkal. És reá rohanának a férfiúra, Lótra, felette igen, és azon valának, hogy betörik az ajtót.
And they sayde: come hither. And they sayde: camest thou not in to sogeorne and wilt thou be now a iudge? we will suerly deale worse with the than with themAnd as they preased fore vppon Lot and beganne to breake vp the doore
10 De kinyújták azok a férfiak kezeiket, és bevonák Lótot magokhoz a házba és bezárák az ajtót.
the men put forth their handes and pulled Lot in to the house to them and shott to the doore.
11 Az embereket pedig, kik a ház ajtaja előtt valának, vaksággal verék meg kicsinytől nagyig, annyira, hogy elfáradának az ajtó keresésében.
And the men that were at the doore of the house they smote with blyndnesse both small and greate: so that they coude not fynde the doore.
12 És mondának a férfiak Lótnak: Ki van még itt hozzád tartozó? vődet, fiaidat és leányaidat, és mindenedet, a mi a tied a városban, vidd ki e helyből.
And the men sayde moreover vnto Lot: Yf thou have yet here any sonne in lawe or sonnes or doughters or what so euer thou hast in the cyte brynge it out of this place:
13 Mert mi elvesztjük e helyet, mivelhogy ezek kiáltása nagyra nőtt az Úr előtt; és az Úr küldött minket, hogy elveszítsük ezt.
for we must destroy this place because the crye of the is great before the LORde. Wherfore he hath sent vs to destroy it.
14 Kiméne azért Lót, és szóla az ő vőinek, kik az ő leányait elvették vala, és monda: Keljetek fel, menjetek ki e helyből, mert elveszti az Úr e várost; de az ő vőinek úgy tetszék, mintha tréfálna.
And Lot went out and spake vnto his sonnes in lawe which shulde haue maried his doughters and sayde: stonde vpp and get yow out of this place for the LORde will destroy the cite. But he semed as though he had mocked vnto his sonnes in law.
15 És mikor a hajnal feljött, sürgetik vala az Angyalok Lótot, mondván: Kelj fel, vedd a te feleségedet és jelenlevő két leányodat, hogy el ne veszsz a városnak bűne miatt.
And as the mornynge arose the angells caused Lot to spede him saynge. Stonde vp take thy wyfe and thy two doughters and that that is at hande lest thou perish in the synne of the cyte.
16 Mikor pedig késedelmeskedék, megragadák a férfiak az ő kezét és az ő feleségének kezét és két leánya kezét, az Úrnak iránta való irgalmából, és kivivék őt: és ott hagyák a városon kívül.
And as he prolonged the tyme the men caught both him his wife ad his two doughters by the handes because the LORde was mercyfull vnto him ad they brought him forth and sette him without the cyte.
17 És lőn mikor kivivék őket, monda az egyik: Mentsd meg a te életedet, hátra ne tekints, és meg ne állj a környéken; a hegyre menekülj, hogy el ne veszsz.
When they had brought them out they sayde: Saue thy lyfe and loke not behynde the nether tary thou in any place of the contre but saue thy selfe in the mountayne lest thou perisshe.
18 És monda Lót nékik: Ne oh Uram!
Than sayde Lot vnto them: Oh nay my lorde:
19 Ímé a te szolgád kegyelmet talált te előtted, és nagy a te irgalmasságod, melyet mutattál irántam, hogy életemet megtartotta: de én nem menekűlhetek a hegyre, nehogy utólérjen a veszedelem, és meghaljak.
beholde in as moch as thy servaunte hath fownde grace in thy syghte now make thi mercy great which thou shewest vnto me in savinge my lyfe. For I can not saue my selfe in the mountayns lest some misfortune fall vpon me and I dye.
20 Ímhol az a város közel van, hogy oda fussak, kicsiny is, hadd menekűljek kérlek oda, lám kicsiny az; és én életben maradok.
Beholde here is a cyte by to flee vnto and it is a lytle one: let me saue my selfe therein: is it not a litle one that my soule may lyue?
21 Monda azért néki: Ím tekintek rád e dologban is, és nem pusztítom el a várost, a melyről szólottál.
And he sayde to him: se I haue receaved thy request as concernynge this thynge that I will nott overthrowe this cytie for the which thou hast spoken.
22 Siess, menekülj oda, mert semmit sem tehetek addig, míg oda nem érsz. Azért nevezték annak a városnak nevét Czóárnak.
Haste the ad saue thy selfe there for I can do nothynge tyll thou be come in thyder. And therfore the name of the cyte is called Zoar.
23 A nap feljött vala a földre, mikor Lót Czóárba ére.
And the sone was vppon the erth when Lot was entred in to Zoar.
24 És bocsáta az Úr Sodomára és Gomorára kénköves és tüzes esőt az Úrtól az égből.
Than the LORde rayned vpon Sodome and Gomorra brymstone and fyre from the LORde out of heaven
25 És elsűlyeszté ama városokat, és azt az egész vidéket, és a városok minden lakosait, és a föld növényeit is.
and overthrewe those cyteis and all the region and all that dwelled in the cytes and that that grewe vpon the erth.
26 És hátra tekinte az ő felesége, és sóbálványnyá lőn.
And lots wyfe loked behynde her ad was turned in to a pillare of salte.
27 Ábrahám pedig reggel arra a helyre indúla, a hol az Úr színe előtt állott vala.
Abraham rose vp early and got him to the place where he stode before the LORde
28 És tekinte Sodoma és Gomora felé, és az egész környék földje felé; és látá, és ímé felszálla a földnek füstje, mint a kemencze füstje.
and loked toward Sodome and Gomorra and toward all the londe of that contre. And as he loked: beholde the smoke of the contre arose as it had bene the smoke of a fornace.
29 És lőn mikor elveszté Isten annak a környéknek városait, megemlékezék az Isten Ábrahámról, és kiküldé Lótot a veszedelemből, mikor elsűlyeszté a városokat, a melyekben lakott vala Lót.
But yet whe God destroyed the cities of ye regio he thought a pon Abraha: and sent Lot out from the dager of the overthrowenge when he overthrewe the cyttes where Lot dwelled.
30 Lót pedig felméne Czóárból, és letelepedék a hegyen, és vele együtt az ő két leánya is, mert fél vala Czóárban lakni; lakozék tehát egy barlangban ő és az ő két leánya.
And Lot departed out of Zoar and dwelled in the mountayns ad his. ij. doughters with him for he feared to tary in Zoar: he dweld therfore in a caue both he and his. ij. doughters also.
31 És monda a nagyobbik a kisebbiknek: A mi atyánk megvénhedett, és nincsen a földön férfiú, a ki mi hozzánk bejöhetne az egész föld szokása szerint.
Than sayde the elder vnto the yonger oure father is olde and there are no moo men in the erth to come in vnto vs after the maner of all the world.
32 Jer, adjunk bort inni a mi atyánknak, és háljunk ő vele, és támaszszunk magot a mi atyánktól.
Come therfore let vs geue oure father wyne to dryncke and let vs lye with him that we may saue seed of oure father.
33 Adának azért inni bort az ő atyjoknak azon éjszaka, és beméne a nagyobbik, és hála az ő atyjával, ez pedig semmit sem tuda annak sem lefekvéséről, sem fölkeléséről.
And they gaue their father wyne to drynke that same nyghte. And the elder doughter went and laye with her father. And he perceaued it not nether when she laye doune nether when she rose vp.
34 És lőn másodnapon, monda a nagyobbik a kisebbiknek: Ímé a mult éjjel én háltam atyámmal, adjunk néki bort inni ez éjjel is, és menj be te, hálj vele, és támaszszunk magot a mi atyánktól.
And on the morowe the elder sayde vnto the yonger: beholde yesternyghte laye I with my father. Let us geue hym wyne to drinke this nyghte also and goo thou and lye with him and let us saue seed of oure father.
35 Adának azért azon éjszaka is az ő atyjoknak bort inni, és felkele a kisebbik is és vele hála; ő pedig semmit sem tuda annak sem lefekvéséről, sem fölkeléséről.
And they gaue their father wyne to drincke that nyghte also. And the yonger arose and laye with him. And he perceaved it not: nether when she laye downe nether when she rose vp.
36 És teherbe esének Lót leányai mindketten az ő atyjoktól.
Thus were both the doughters of lot with childe by their father
37 És szűle a nagyobbik fiat, és nevezé annak nevét Moábnak; ez a Moábiták atyja mind e mai napig.
And the elder bare a sone and called hym Moab which is the father of the Moabytes vnto this daye.
38 A kisebbik is fiat szűle és nevezé annak nevét Benamminak. Ez az Ammoniták atyja mind a mai napig.
And the yonger bare a sonne and called hym Ben Ammi which is the father of the childern of Ammon vnto this daye.
