Efézusiakhoz 6
1 Ti gyermekek szót fogadjatok a ti szüleiteknek az Úrban; mert ez az igaz.
Sones, obeische ye to youre fadir and modir, in the Lord; for this thing is riytful.
2 Tiszteljed a te atyádat és a te anyádat (a mi az első parancsolat ígérettel).
Onoure thou thi fadir and thi modir, that is the firste maundement in biheest;
3 Hogy jól legyen néked dolgod és hosszú életű légy e földön.
that it be wel to thee, and that thou be long lyuynge on the erthe.
4 Ti is atyák ne ingereljétek gyermekeiteket, hanem neveljétek azokat az Úr tanítása és intése szerint.
And, fadris, nyle ye terre youre sones to wraththe; but nurische ye hem in the teching and chastising of the Lord.
5 Ti szolgák, engedelmesek legyetek a ti test szerint való uraitoknak félelemmel és rettegéssel, szíveteknek egyenességében, mint a Krisztusnak;
Seruauntis, obeische ye to fleischli lordis with drede and trembling, in simplenesse of youre herte, as to Crist;
6 Nem a szemnek szolgálván, mint a kik embereknek akarnak tetszeni, hanem mint Krisztus szolgái, cselekedvén az Istennek akaratját lélekből,
not seruynge at the iye, as plesinge to men, but as seruauntis of Crist; doynge the wille of God bi discrecioun,
7 Jó akarattal, mint a kik az Úrnak szolgálnak és nem embereknek;
with good wille seruynge as to the Lord, and not as to men;
8 Tudván, hogy kiki a mi jót cselekszik, azt veendi az Úrtól, akár szolga legyen, akár szabados.
witinge that ech man, what euere good thing he schal do, he schal resseyue this of the Lord, whether seruaunt, whether fre man.
9 Ti is urak, ugyanazt cselekedjétek ő velök, elhegyván a fenyegetést; tudván, hogy a ti Uratok is mennyben van, és személyválogatás nincsen Ő nála.
And, ye lordis, do the same thingis to hem, foryyuynge manaasis; witinge that bothe her Lord and youre is in heuenes, and the taking of persones is not anentis God.
10 Végezetre, atyámfiai, legyetek erősek az Úrban, és az ő hatalmas erejében.
Her aftirward, britheren, be ye coumfortid in the Lord, and in the miyt of his vertu.
11 Öltözzétek föl az Isten minden fegyverét, hogy megállhassatok az ördögnek minden ravaszságával szemben.
Clothe you with the armere of God, that ye moun stonde ayens aspiynges of the deuel.
12 Mert nem vér és test ellen van nékünk tusakodásunk, hanem a fejedelemségek ellen, a hatalmasságok ellen, ez élet sötétségének világbírói ellen, a gonoszság lelkei ellen, melyek a magasságban vannak. (aiōn g165)
For whi stryuyng is not to vs ayens fleisch and blood, but ayens princis and potestatis, ayens gouernours of the world of these derknessis, ayens spiritual thingis of wickidnesse, in heuenli thingis. (aiōn g165)
13 Annakokáért vegyétek föl az Istennek minden fegyverét, hogy ellentállhassatok ama gonosz napon, és mindeneket elvégezvén megállhassatok.
Therfor take ye the armere of God, that ye moun ayenstonde in the yuel dai; and in alle thingis stonde perfit.
14 Álljatok hát elő, körül övezvén derekatokat igazlelkűséggel, és felöltözvén az igazságnak mellvasába,
Therfor stonde ye, and be gird aboute youre leendis in sothefastnesse, and clothid with the haburioun of riytwisnesse,
15 És felsarúzván lábaitokat a békesség evangyéliomának készségével;
and youre feet schood in making redi of the gospel of pees.
16 Mindezekhez fölvevén a hitnek paizsát, a melylyel ama gonosznak minden tüzes nyilát megolthatjátok;
In alle thingis take ye the scheld of feith, in which ye moun quenche alle the firy dartis of `the worste.
17 Az idvesség sisakját is fölvegyétek, és a Léleknek kardját, a mely az Isten beszéde:
And take ye the helm of helthe, and the swerd of the Goost, that is, the word of God.
18 Minden imádsággal és könyörgéssel imádkozván minden időben a Lélek által, és ugyanezen dologban vigyázván minden állhatatossággal és könyörgéssel minden szentekért,
Bi al preier and bisechyng preie ye al tyme in spirit, and in hym wakinge in al bisynesse, and bisechyng for alle hooli men, and for me;
19 Én érettem is, hogy adassék nékem szó számnak megnyitásakor, hogy bátorsággal ösmertessem meg az evangyéliom titkát,
that word be youun to me in openyng of my mouth, with trist to make knowun the mysterie of the gospel,
20 A melyért követséget viselek lánczok között; hogy bátran szóljak arról, a miképen kell szólanom.
for which Y am set in message in a chayne; so that in it Y be hardi to speke, as it bihoueth me.
21 Hogy pedig ti is megtudjátok dolgaimat, hogy mit cselekeszem, mindent megismertet veletek Tikhikus, a szeretett atyafi és hív szolga az Úrban;
And ye wite, what thingis ben aboute me, what Y do, Titicus, my moost dere brother, and trewe mynystre in the Lord, schal make alle thingis knowun to you;
22 Kit éppen azért küldöttem hozzátok, hogy megismerjétek a mi dolgainkat, és megvígasztalja a ti szíveteket.
whom Y sente to you for this same thing, that ye knowe what thingis ben aboute vs, and that he coumforte youre hertis.
23 Békesség az atyafiaknak és szeretet hittel egybe az Atya Istentől és az Úr Jézus Krisztustól!
Pees to britheren, and charite, with feith of God oure fadir, and of the Lord Jhesu Crist.
24 A kegyelem legyen mindazokkal, a kik szeretik a mi Urunk Jézus Krisztust romlatlanságban. Ámen.
Grace with alle men that louen oure Lord Jhesu Crist in vncorrupcioun. Amen, `that is, So be it.
