5 Mózes 32
1 Figyeljetek egek, hadd szóljak! Hallgassa a föld is számnak beszédeit!
Give ear, ye heavens, and I will speak, and let the earth hear the words of my mouth.
2 Csepegjen tanításom, mint eső; hulljon mint harmat a beszédem; mint langyos zápor a gyenge fűre, s mint permetezés a pázsitra!
My doctrine shall drop as the rain. My speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender grass, and as the showers upon the herb.
3 Mert az Úr nevét hirdetem: magasztaljátok Istenünket!
For I will proclaim the name of Jehovah. Ascribe ye greatness to our God.
4 Kőszikla! Cselekedete tökéletes, mert minden ő úta igazság! Hűséges Isten és nem csalárd; igaz és egyenes ő!
The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice, a God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and right is he.
5 Gonoszak voltak hozzá, nem fiai, a magok gyalázatja; romlott és elvetemült nemzedék.
They have dealt corruptly with him. They are not his sons, it is their blemish, a perverse and crooked generation.
6 Így fizettek-é az Úrnak: balga és értelmetlen nép?! Nem atyád-é ő, a ki teremtett? Ő alkotott és erősített meg.
Do ye thus requite Jehovah, O foolish people and unwise? Is not he thy father who has bought thee? He has made thee, and established thee.
7 Emlékezzél meg az ős időkről; gondoljátok el annyi nemzedék éveit! Kérdezd meg atyádat és megjelenti néked, a te véneidet és megmondják néked!
Remember the days of old. Consider the years of many generations. Ask thy father, and he will show thee, thine elders, and they will tell thee.
8 Mikor a Felséges örökséget osztott a népeknek; mikor szétválasztá az ember fiait: megszabta a népek határait, Izráel fiainak száma szerint,
When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of men, he set the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the sons of Israel.
9 Mert az Úrnak része az ő népe, Jákób néki sorssal jutott öröksége.
For Jehovah's portion is his people. Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
10 Puszta földön találta vala őt, zordon, sivatag vadonban; körülvette őt, gondja volt reá, őrizte, mint a szeme fényét;
He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness. He compassed him about. He cared for him. He kept him as the apple of his eye.
11 Mint a fészkén felrebbenő sas, fiai felett lebeg, kiterjeszti felettök szárnyait, felveszi őket, és tollain emeli őket:
As an eagle that stirs up her nest, that flutters over her young, he spread abroad his wings. He took them. He bore them on his pinions.
12 Egymaga vezette őt az Úr; idegen Isten nem volt ő vele.
Jehovah alone led him, and there was no foreign god with him.
13 A föld magaslatain járatta őt, mezők terméseivel étette, kősziklából is mézet szopatott vele, kovaszirtből is olajat;
He made him ride on the high places of the earth, and he ate the increase of the field, and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock,
14 Tehenek vaját, és juhok tejét bárányok kövérjével, básáni kosokat és bakkecskéket a buza java kövérjével; és szőlő vérét, bort ittál.
butter of the herd, and milk of the flock, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the finest of the wheat, and of the blood of the grape thou drank wine.
15 És meghízott Jesurun, és rúgódozott. Meghíztál, megkövéredtél, elhájasodtál. És elhagyá Istent, teremtőjét, és megveté az ő üdvösségének kőszikláját.
But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked. Thou have grown fat. Thou have grown thick. Thou have become sleek. Then he forsook God who made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
16 Idegen istenekkel ingerelték, útálatosságokkal bosszantották.
They moved him to jealousy with strange gods. With abominations they provoked him to anger.
17 Ördögöknek áldoztak, nem Istennek; isteneknek, a kiket nem ismertek; újaknak, a kik csak most támadtak, a kiket nem rettegtek a ti atyáitok.
They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods that they knew not, to new gods that came up of late, which your fathers did not dread.
18 A Kősziklát, a ki szült téged, elfeledted; megfelejtkeztél Istenről, a ki nemzett téged.
Thou are unmindful of the Rock that begot thee, and have forgotten God who gave thee birth.
19 Látta ezt az Úr és megútálta bosszúságában az ő fiait és leányait.
And Jehovah saw, and abhorred, because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.
20 És monda: Elrejtem orczámat előlök, hadd látom, mi lesz a végök? Mert elzüllött nemzetség ez, fiak, a kikben nincs hűség!
And he said, I will hide my face from them. I will see what their end shall be. For they are a very perverse generation, sons in whom is no faithfulness.
21 Azzal ingereltek ők, a mi nem isten; hiábavalóságaikkal bosszantottak engem; én pedig azzal ingerlem őket, a mi nem népem: bolond nemzettel bosszantom őket.
They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God. They have provoked me to anger with their vanities, and I will move them to jealousy with a non-nation. I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
22 Mert tűz lobban fel haragomban és leég a Seol fenekéig; megemészti a földet és gyümölcsét, és felgyújtja a hegyek alapjait. (Sheol h7585)
For a fire is kindled in my anger, and burns to the lowest Sheol, and devours the earth with its increase, and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains. (Sheol h7585)
23 Veszedelmeket halmozok reájok, nyilaimat mind rájok fogyasztom.
I will heap evils upon them. I will spend my arrows upon them,
24 Éhségtől aszottan, láztól emésztetten és keserű dögvésztől – a vadak fogait is rájok bocsátom, a porban csúszók mérgével együtt.
to be wasted with hunger, and devoured with burning heat and bitter destruction. And I will send upon them the teeth of beasts, with the poison of crawling things of the dust.
25 Kivül fegyver pusztít, az ágyasházakban rettegés: ifjat és szűzet, csecsszopót a vén emberrel együtt.
Outside the sword shall bereave, and in the chambers terror, to both young man and virgin, the suckling with the man of gray hairs.
26 Mondom: Elfuvom őket, eltörlöm emlékezetöket az emberek közül.
I said, I would scatter them afar, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men,
27 Ha nem tartanék az ellenség bosszantásától, hogy szorongatóik a dolgot félremagyarázzák, és hogy ezt mondják: A mi kezünk a hatalmas, és nem az Úr cselekedte mind ezt! -
were it not that I feared the provocation of the enemy, lest their adversaries should judge amiss, lest they should say, Our hand is exalted, and Jehovah has not done all this.
28 Mert tanács-vesztett nép ez, és nincs bennök értelem.
For they are a nation void of counsel, and there is no understanding in them.
29 Vajha eszesek volnának, megértenék ezt, meggondolnák, hogy mi lesz a végök!
Oh that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!
30 Miképen kergethetne egy ezeret, és kettő hogyan űzhetne tízezeret, ha az ő Kősziklájok el nem adja őket, és ha az Úr kézbe nem adja őket?!
How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight unless their Rock had sold them, and Jehovah had delivered them up?
31 Mert a mi Kősziklánk nem olyan, mint az ő kősziklájok; ellenségeink is megítélhetik!
For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.
32 Mert az ő szőlőjök Sodoma szőlője és Gomora mezősége; bogyóik mérges bogyók, keserűek a gerézdjeik.
For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter.
33 Sárkányok mérge az ő boruk, áspiskígyóknak kegyetlen epéje.
Their wine is the poison of serpents, and the cruel venom of asps.
34 Nincsen-é ez elrejtve nálam, lepecsételve az én kincseim között?
Is not this laid up in store with me, sealed up among my treasures?
35 Enyém a bosszúállás és megfizetés, a mikor lábuk megtántorodik; mert közel van az ő veszedelmök napja, és siet, a mi rájok vár!
Vengeance is for me, and recompense at the time when their foot shall slide. For the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that are to come upon them shall make haste.
36 Mert megítéli az Úr az ő népét, és megkönyörül az ő szolgáin, ha látja, hogy elfogyott az erő, s védett és védtelen oda van.
For Jehovah will judge his people, and regrets for his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, and there is none remaining, shut up or left at large.
37 És ezt mondja: Hol az ő istenök? a Kőszikla, a melyben bizakodtak?
And he will say, Where are their gods, the rock in which they took refuge,
38 A kik megették az ő véres áldozataik kövérjét, megitták az ő italáldozatuk borát: keljenek fel és segítsenek meg titeket, és oltalmazzanak meg titeket!
which ate the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offering? Let them rise up and help you, let them be your protection.
39 Most lássátok meg, hogy én vagyok, és nincs Isten kivülem! Én ölök és elevenítek, én sebesítek és én gyógyítok, és nincs, a ki kezemből megszabadítson.
See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me. I kill, and I make alive. I wound, and I heal. And there is none that can deliver out of my hand.
40 Mert felemelem kezemet az égre, és ezt mondom: Örökké élek én!
For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, As I live forever,
41 Ha megélesítem fényes kardomat és ítélethez fog kezem: bosszút állok ellenségeimen és megfizetek gyűlölőimnek.
if I whet my glittering sword, and my hand takes hold on judgment, I will render vengeance to my adversaries, and will recompense those who hate me.
42 Megrészegítem nyilaimat vérrel, és kardom jól lakik hússal: a legyilkoltak és foglyok vérével, az ellenség vezéreinek fejéből!
I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh, with the blood of the slain and the captives, from the head of the leaders of the enemy.
43 Ujjongjatok ti nemzetek, ő népe! Mert ő megtorolja az ő szolgáinak vérét, bosszút áll az ő ellenségein, földjének és népének megbocsát!
Rejoice, O ye Gentiles, with his people. For he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will recompense those who hate him, and will make expiation for his land, for his people.
44 Elméne azért Mózes és elmondá ez éneknek minden ígéjét a nép füle hallására, ő és Józsué a Nún fia.
And Moses came and spoke all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he and Joshua the son of Nun.
45 És mikor végig elmondá Mózes mind ez ígéket az egész Izráelnek,
And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel.
46 Monda nékik: Vegyétek szívetekre mind ezeket az ígéket, a melyekkel én bizonyságot teszek ellenetek e mai napon; és parancsoljátok meg fiaitoknak, hogy tartsák meg és teljesítsék e törvénynek minden ígéjét;
And he said to them, Set your heart to all the words which I testify to you this day, which ye shall command your sons to observe to do, even all the words of this law.
47 Mert nem hiábavaló íge ez néktek; hanem ez a ti életetek, és ez íge által hosszabbítjátok meg napjaitokat azon a földön, a melyre általmentek a Jordánon, hogy bírjátok azt.
For it is no vain thing for you, because it is your life, and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land where ye go over the Jordan to possess it.
48 És ugyanezen a napon szóla az Úr Mózesnek, mondván:
And Jehovah spoke to Moses that selfsame day, saying,
49 Menj fel ebbe az Abarim hegységbe, a Nébó hegyére, a mely Moáb földén van és pedig Jérikhóval átellenben; és nézd meg a Kanaán földét, a melyet én Izráel fiainak adok örökségül.
Get thee up onto this mountain of Abarim, to mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is opposite Jericho, and behold the land of Canaan, which I give to the sons of Israel for a possession.
50 És halj meg a hegyen, a melyre felmégy, és takaríttassál a te népedhez, a miképen meghalt Áron, a te testvéred a Hór hegyén, és takaríttatott az ő népeihez;
And die on the mount where thou go up, and be gathered to thy people, as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered to his people,
51 Mivelhogy vétkeztetek ellenem Izráel fiai között a versengésnek vizénél, a Czin pusztájában Kádesnél: mert nem szenteltetek meg engem Izráel fiai között.
because ye trespassed against me in the midst of the sons of Israel at the waters of Meribah of Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin, because ye did not sanctify me in the midst of the sons of Israel.
52 Mert szemközt látod a földet; de arra a földre, a melyet én adok Izráel fiainak, oda nem mégy be.
For thou shall see the land before thee, but thou shall not go there into the land which I give the sons of Israel.
