2 Krónika 9
1 A Séba királynéasszonya pedig hallván Salamon hírét, eljöve, hogy megkisértse Salamont nehéz kérdésekkel, Jeruzsálembe, igen nagy sereggel és tevékkel, a melyek hoznak vala fűszereket, igen sok aranyat és drágaköveket; és Salamonhoz méne, és beszélt vele mindenekről, a melyek szívén voltak.
And when the Queene of Sheba heard of the fame of Salomon, she came to proue Salomon with hard questions at Ierusalem, with a very great traine, and camels that bare sweete odours and much golde, and precious stones: and when she came to Salomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.
2 És Salamon megfelelt minden beszédeire, mert semmi sem volt Salamon elől elrejtve, a melyet meg nem mondhatott volna néki.
And Salomon declared her all her questions, and there was nothing hid from Salomon, which he declared not vnto her.
3 És mikor látta Séba királynéasszonya Salamon bölcseségét és a házat, a melyet épített vala;
Then the Queene of Sheba sawe the wisedome of Salomon, and the house that he had buylt,
4 És az ő asztalának étkeit, szolgáinak lakását és hivatalnokainak állását és öltözékeiket, pohárnokait s azoknak öltözékeit, és az ő áldozatát, a melylyel az Úrnak házában áldozott: a lélekzete is elállott.
And the meate of his table, and the sitting of his seruants, and the order of his wayters, and their apparel, and his butlers, and their apparel, and his burnt offrings which he offred in the house of the Lord, and she was greatly astonied.
5 És monda a királynak: Mind igaz volt, a mit hallottam volt az én lakóföldemben a te dolgaidról és bölcseségedről;
And she saide to the King, It was a true worde which I heard in mine owne lande of thy sayings, and of thy wisedome:
6 De hinni sem akartam azoknak beszédeit, míg én magam el nem jöttem és szemeimmel nem láttam. És ímé nékem a felét sem beszélték el a te bölcseséged nagyságának; felülmúltad a hírt, a melyet hallottam.
Howbeit I beleeued not their report, vntil I came, and mine eyes had seene it: and beholde, the one halfe of thy great wisedom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard.
7 Boldogok a te embereid és boldogok ezek a te szolgáid, a kik szüntelen udvarlanak néked, hogy hallhatják a te bölcseségedet!
Happie are thy men, and happie are these thy seruants, which stande before thee alway, and heare thy wisedome.
8 Legyen az Úr, a te Istened áldott, a ki téged annyira szeretett, hogy az ő székébe helyezett, hogy lennél az Úrnak, a te Istenednek királya; mivel a te Istened szerette Izráelt, hogy megerősítse őt mindörökké, azért tett téged királylyá felettök, hogy szolgáltass ítéletet és igazságot.
Blessed be the Lord thy God, which loued thee, to set thee on his throne as King, in the steade of the Lord thy God: because thy God loueth Israel, to establish it for euer, therefore hath he made thee King ouer them, to execute iudgement and iustice.
9 És ada a királynak százhúsz tálentom aranyat és felette sok fűszerszámot és drágaköveket. Nem is volt több olyan fűszerszám, mint a milyet Séba királynéasszonya ada Salamon királynak.
Then she gaue the King sixe score talents of golde, and of sweete odours exceeding much and precious stones: neither was there such sweete odours since, as the Queene of Sheba gaue vnto King Salomon.
10 És Hirám szolgái is és Salamon szolgái is, a kik hoztak vala aranyat Ofirból; hoztak ébenfát és drágaköveket is.
And the seruants also of Huram, and the seruants of Salomon which brought golde from Ophir, brought Algummim wood and precious stones.
11 És csinála a király az ébenfából lépcsőket az Úr házába és a király házába, s cziterákat és lantokat az éneklőknek. Ezekhez hasonlókat nem láttak azelőtt Júda országában.
And the King made of the Algummim wood staires in the house of the Lord, and in the Kings house, and harpes and violes for singers: and there was no such seene before in the lande of Iudah.
12 Salamon király pedig ada a Séba királynéasszonyának mindent, a mit csak kivánt és kért tőle, azonkivül, a mit ő a királynak hozott. Azután megtére és méne az ő földébe mind ő, mind az ő szolgái.
And King Salomon gaue to the Queene of Sheba euery pleasant thing that she asked, besides for that which she had brought vnto the King: so she returned and went to her owne countrey, both she, and her seruants.
13 Vala pedig mértéke az aranynak, a mely esztendőnként bejő vala Salamonnak, hatszázhatvanhat tálentom arany,
Also the weight of golde that came to Salomon in one yeere, was sixe hundreth three score and sixe talents of golde,
14 Azonkivül, a mit hoznak vala a kalmárok és kereskedők; de még Arábia minden királyai és annak a földnek fejedelmei és hoznak vala aranyat és ezüstöt Salamonnak.
Besides that which chapmen and marchants brought: and all the Kings of Arabia, and the princes of the countrey brought golde and siluer to Salomon.
15 És csináltata Salamon király kétszáz paizst vert aranyból, mindenik paizsra hatszáz vert arany siklus ment fel.
And King Salomon made two hundreth targets of beaten golde, and sixe hundreth shekels of beaten golde went to one target,
16 Háromszáz kerek paizst is vert aranyból; mindenik paizsra háromszáz arany siklus megy vala, a melyeket a király helyeztete a Libánon erdejének házába.
And three hundreth shieldes of beaten golde: three hundreth shekels of golde went to one shielde, and the King put them in the house of the wood of Lebanon.
17 És csináltatott a király egy nagy királyiszéket elefántcsontból, és beboríttatá azt finom aranynyal.
And the King made a great throne of yuorie and ouerlaid it with pure golde.
18 Hat lépcsője volt a széknek, és arany zsámolya a székhez erősítve, és támaszai valának mindkét felől az ülés mellett, és két oroszlán állott a karok mellett.
And the throne had sixe steppes, with a footestoole of gold fastened to the throne, and stayes on either side on the place of the seate, and two lyons standing by the stayes.
19 És tizenkét oroszlán áll vala ott a hat lépcsőn mindkét felől. Senki soha olyant nem csinált egyetlen országban sem.
And twelue lyons stoode there on the sixe steps on either side: there was not the like made in any kingdome.
20 És Salamon királynak összes ivóedényei aranyból valának; a Libánon erdő házának is összes edényei tiszta aranyból valának; nem vala az ezüstnek semmi becse a Salamon idejében;
And all King Salomons drinking vessels were of golde, and all the vessels of the house of the wood of Lebanon were of pure gold: for siluer was nothing esteemed in ye dayes of Salomon.
21 Mert hajói voltak a királynak, a melyek Társisba jártak a Hirám szolgáival együtt. Minden három esztendőben egyszer menének a hajók Társisba, honnan aranyat, ezüstöt, elefántcsontot, majmokat és pávákat hoznak vala.
For the Kings ships went to Tarshish with the seruants of Huram, euery three yeere once came the ships of Tarshish, and brought golde, and siluer, yuorie, and apes, and peacockes.
22 És felülmúlta Salamon király e földnek minden királyait gazdagságban és bölcseségben.
So King Salomon excelled all the Kings of the earth in riches and wisedome.
23 És e földnek minden királyai kivánnak vala szembe lenni Salamonnal, hogy hallhatnák az ő bölcseségét, a melyet Isten adott vala az ő szívébe.
And all the Kings of the earth sought the presence of Salomon, to heare his wisedome that God had put in his heart.
24 És azok mindnyájan ajándékot visznek vala néki, arany és ezüst edényeket, ruhákat, fegyvert, fűszerszámokat, lovakat és öszvéreket esztendőnként.
And they brought euery man his present, vessels of siluer, and vessels of golde, and raiment, armour, and sweet odours, horses, and mules, from yeere to yeere.
25 És Salamonnak négyezer lóistállói, szekerei és tizenkétezer lovagjai valának, a kiket helyheztete a szekerek városaiba és a király mellé Jeruzsálemben.
And Salomon had foure thousand stalles of horses, and charets, and twelue thousand horsmen, whom he bestowed in the charet cities, and with the King at Ierusalem.
26 És uralkodó vala minden király felett az Eufrátes folyóvíztől a Filiszteusok földéig és az Égyiptom határáig.
And he reigned ouer all the Kings from the Riuer euen vnto the land of the Philistims, and to the border of Egypt.
27 És a király Jeruzsálemben olyanná tevé az ezüstöt, mint a köveket, és a czédrusfákat úgy elszaporítá, mint a vad fügefákat, a melyek nevekednek a mezőségen bőséggel.
And the King gaue siluer in Ierusalem, as stones, and gaue cedar trees as the wilde fig trees, that are aboundant in the plaine.
28 Hordnak vala pedig Salamonnak lovakat Égyiptomból és minden országból.
And they brought vnto Salomon horses out of Egypt, and out of all landes.
29 Salamonnak egyéb dolgai, úgy az elsők, mint az utolsók, avagy nem írattak-é meg a Nátán próféta könyvében, és a Silóbeli Ahija prófécziájában, és Jehdó prófétának Jeroboám ellen, a Nébát fia ellen írt látásaiban?
Concerning the rest of the actes of Salomon first and last, are they not written in the booke of Nathan the Prophet, and in the prophecie of Ahiiah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Ieedo the Seer against Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat?
30 És uralkodék Salamon Jeruzsálemben az egész Izráel felett negyven esztendeig.
And Salomon reigned in Ierusalem ouer all Israel fourtie yeeres.
31 És elaluvék Salamon az ő atyáival egyetemben, és eltemeték őt az ő atyjának, Dávidnak városában, és uralkodék helyette az ő fia, Roboám.
And Salomon slept with his fathers, and they buryed him in the citie of Dauid his father: and Rehoboam his sonne reigned in his steade.
