1 János 1
1 A mi kezdettől fogva vala, a mit hallottunk, a mit szemeinkkel láttunk, a mit szemléltünk, és kezeinkkel illettünk, az életnek Ígéjéről.
THAT which was from the beginning, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have gazed upon, and our hands have handled of the word of life;
2 (És az élet megjelent és láttuk és tanubizonyságot teszünk róla és hirdetjük néktek az örök életet, a mely az Atyánál vala és megjelent nékünk; ) (aiōnios g166)
(for the life was manifested, and we have beheld it, and bear testimony, and declare unto you that life eternal, which was with the Father, and was manifested to us; ) (aiōnios g166)
3 A mit hallottunk és láttunk, hirdetjük néktek, hogy néktek is közösségtek legyen velünk, és pedig a mi közösségünk az Atyával és az ő Fiával, a Jézus Krisztussal.
that which we have seen and heard, declare we to you, that ye also may have communion with us: and indeed our communion is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4 És ezeket azért írjuk néktek, hogy örömetek teljes legyen.
And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be complete.
5 És ez az az üzenet, a melyet tőle hallottunk és hirdetünk néktek, hogy az Isten világosság és nincsen ő benne semmi sötétség.
And this is the promise which we have heard from him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and that darkness in him there is none.
6 Ha azt mondjuk, hogy közösségünk van vele, és sötétségben járunk; hazudunk és nem az igazságot cselekeszszük.
If we say that we have communion with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and practise not the truth:
7 Ha pedig a világosságban járunk, a mint ő maga a világosságban van: közösségünk van egymással, és Jézus Krisztusnak, az ő Fiának vére megtisztít minket minden bűntől.
but if we walk in the light, as he is himself in the light, we have communion with each other, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 Ha azt mondjuk, hogy nincsen bűn mi bennünk, magunkat csaljuk meg és igazság nincsen mi bennünk.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 Ha megvalljuk bűneinket, hű és igaz, hogy megbocsássa bűneinket és megtisztítson minket minden hamisságtól.
If we confess our sins, faithful is he and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 Ha azt mondjuk, hogy nem vétkeztünk, hazuggá teszszük őt, és az ő ígéje nincsen mi bennünk.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
