1 Krónika 12

1 Ezek azok, a kik Dávidhoz menének Siklágba, mikor Saul, a Kis fia miatt még számkivetésben vala, a kik a hősöknek a harczban segítői voltak.

Now these, are they who came unto David, to Ziklag, he yet being shut up, because of Saul son of Kish, —and, they, were among the heroes, helpers in the war;

2 Ívesek, a kik mind jobb-, mind balkézre kővel hajítanak és nyíllal lőnek vala, a kik Saul atyjafiai közül valók valának, Benjámin nemzetségéből.

armed with the bow, using right hand or left with stones, and with arrows in the bow, —of the brethren of Saul, out of Benjamin:

3 Előljáró vala Ahiézer és Joás, a Gibeabeli Semáa fiai és Jéziel és Pélet, Azmávet fiai, Beráka és Jéhu, Anatótból,

the chief, Ahiezer, and Joash, sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite, and Jeziel and Pelet, sons of Azmaveth, —and Beracah, and Jehu the Anathothite;

4 És a Gibeonbeli Ismája, a harmincz közül való hős, a kiknek előljárójok is vala; Irméja, Jaháziel, Johanán és Gederátbeli Józabád,

and Ishmaiah, the Gibeonite, a hero among the thirty, and over the thirty, —and Jeremiah and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Jozabad, the Gederathite;

5 Elúzai, Jérimót, Behália, Semária és Hárufbeli Sefátja,

Eluzai and Jerimoth and Bealiah and Shemariah, and Shephatiah, the Haruphite;

6 Elkána, Isija, Azaréel, Jóézer és a Kóré nemzetéből való Jásobéám.

Elkanah and Isshiah, and Azarel, and Joezer and Jashobeam, the Korahites;

7 Joéla és Zebádja, a Gedorból való Jérohám fiai.

and Joelah and Zebadiah, sons of Jeroham, of Gedor.

8 A Gáditák közül is menének Dávidhoz, mikor a pusztában vala az erősségben, erős és hadakozó férfiak, paizsosok, dárdások, a kiknek orczájok, mint az oroszlánnak orczája és gyorsaságra hasonlók a hegyen lakozó vadkecskékhez.

And, of the Gadites, there separated themselves unto David, to the stronghold towards the desert, heroes of valour, men of war, for battle, men that could handle shield and spear, —and, faces of lions, were their faces, and, like gazelles upon the mountains, were they, for swiftness:

9 Ézer az első, Obádia második, Eliáb harmadik,

Ezer, the chief, Obadiah, the second, —Eliab, the third;

10 Mismanna negyedik, Jirméja ötödik,

Mashmannah, the fourth, Jeremiah, the fifth;

11 Attai hatodik, Eliel hetedik,

Attai, the sixth, Eliel the seventh;

12 Nyolczadik Johanán, kilenczedik Elzabád,

Johanan, the eighth, Elzabad, the ninth;

13 Tizedik Jirméja, tizenegyedik Makbánnai.

Jeremiah, the tenth, Machbannai, the eleventh.

14 Ezek voltak főemberek a seregben a Gád fiai közül; a legkisebbek egyike száz ellen, a legnagyobbak egyike ezer ellen!

These, were of the sons of Gad, chiefs of the host, —one to a hundred, the least, and, the greatest, to a thousand.

15 Ezek azok, a kik a Jordánon átmentek volt az első hónapban, noha az árvíz a partot felülmúlta, és elűzték mindazokat, a kik a völgyben valának napkelet felől és napnyugot felől.

These, are they who passed over the Jordan, in the first month, when, it, was full, over all its banks, —and they put to flight all them of the vales, to the east and to the west.

16 Jövének Dávidhoz a Benjámin és a Júda fiai közül is az erősségbe.

And there came, of the sons of Benjamin, and Judah, as far as the stronghold, unto David.

17 És kiméne Dávid elejökbe, és felelvén, monda nékik: Hogyha békesség okáért jöttök hozzám, hogy segítségemre legyetek, az én szívem egy lesz ti veletek; ha pedig meg akartok csalni, hogy eláruljatok az én ellenségeimnek, holott semmi gonoszságot nem követtem el: lássa meg a mi atyáink Istene és büntessen meg.

And David went forth to meet them, and responded, and said to them, If, peaceably, ye are come unto me, to help me, I shall have towards you, a heart for unity, —but, if to betray me to mine adversaries, there being no violence in my hands, may the God of our fathers see and rebuke!

18 A lélek pedig felindítá Amásait, a harmincznak fejedelmét, s monda: Óh Dávid, tied vagyunk és te veled leszünk, Isai fia! Békesség, békesség néked, békesség a te segítőidnek is, mert megsegít téged a te Istened! Magához fogadá azért őket Dávid, és főemberekké tevé a seregben.

Then, the spirit, clothed Amasai, chief of the thirty, Thine, O David, Yea, with, thee, O son of Jesse! Prosperity, prosperity to thee, And prosperity to thy helpers, For thy God, hath helped thee: So David accepted them, and set them among the chiefs of the band.

19 Ennekfelette Manasséból is hajlának Dávidhoz, mikor a Filiszteusokkal együtt Saul ellen ment volna harczolni; de nem segéllék őket; mert tanácsot tartván, haza küldék a Filiszteusok fejedelmei, mondván: A mi fejünk veszésével fog visszamenni az ő urához, Saulhoz.

And, of Manasseh, there fell away unto David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle, but they helped them not, —for the lords of the Philistines advisedly sent him away, saying, At the price of our heads, he might fall away to his master, Saul.

20 Mikor visszatére Siklágba, hajlának ő hozzá a Manassé fiai közül Adna, Józabád, Jediháel, Mikáel, Józabád, Elihu és Sillétai, a kik a Manasse nemzetségéből való ezerek előljárói voltak.

When he went into Ziklag, there fell away unto him, of Manasseh, Adnah and Jozabad, and Jediael and Michael and Jozabad, and Elihu and Zillethai, —chiefs of the thousands that pertained to Manasseh;

21 És ezek Dávidnak segítségül voltak az ellenség seregei ellen; mert fejenként mind erős vitézek valának, és vezérek a seregben.

and, they, helped with David, against the [marauding] band, for, heroes of valour, were they all, —and they became captains in the host;

22 Annakfelette minden nap mennek vala Dávidhoz, hogy segítségére legyenek néki, míg serege nagygyá lőn, mint az Istennek tábora.

for, from day to day, there came unto David, to help him, —until it was a great camp, like a camp of God.

23 Ezek pedig számszerint a viadalhoz készült előljárók, a kik Dávidhoz mentek vala Hebronban, hogy őt Saul helyett az országban királylyá válaszszák, az Isten ígérete szerint.

And, these, are the numbers of the chiefs armed for war, they came unto David, to Hebron, —to turn round the kingdom of Saul unto him, according to the bidding of Yahweh:

24 A Júda fiai közül, a kik paizst és kopját viselének hatezernyolczszáz vala harczra készen.

Sons of Judah, bearers of shield and spear, six thousand and eight hundred, armed for war.

25 A Simeon fiai közül vitéz férfiak a viadalra, hétezerszáz.

Of sons of Simeon, heroes of valour for the war, seven thousand, and one hundred.

26 A Lévi fiai közül négyezerhatszáz vala.

Of the sons of Levi, four thousand, and six hundred.

27 Jojada is, ki az Áron fiai között előljáró vala, és ő vele háromezerhétszáz.

And Jehoiada, was chief ruler for Aaron, —and, with him, three thousand and seven hundred;

28 És az ifjú Sádók, a ki igen erős vala, és az ő atyja házából huszonkét főember.

and Zadok, a young man, a hero of valour, —and the house of his father, captains twenty and two.

29 A Benjámin fiai közül, a kik Saul atyjafiai valának, háromezer; mert még azok közül sokan hűségesen őrizik vala a Saul házát.

And, of the sons of Benjamin, brethren of Saul, three thousand, —and, hitherto, the greater part of them, had been keeping the charge of the house of Saul.

30 Az Efraim fiai közül húszezernyolczszáz, igen vitézek, a kik az ő nemzetségökben híres férfiak valának;

And, of the sons of Ephraim, twenty thousand, and eight hundred, —heroes of valour, men of renown, to their ancestral house.

31 Manassénak félnemzetségéből pedig tizennyolczezer, kik névszerint kijelöltetének, hogy elmenjenek és Dávidot királylyá válaszszák.

And, of the half tribe of Manasseh, eighteen thousand, who were distinguished by name, coming in to make David king.

32 Az Izsakhár fiai közül, a kik felismerék az idő alkalmatos voltát, hogy tudnák, mit kellene Izráelnek cselekednie, kétszáz főember és az ő rokonaik mind hallgatnak vala beszédjökre.

And, of the sons of Issachar, such as were of good understanding of the times, to know what Israel, should do, their chiefs, were two hundred, and, all their brethren, were at their bidding.

33 A Zebulon fiai közül a harczra kimenők, minden hadiszerszámokkal felkészülve, ötvenezeren valának, készek a viadalra állhatatos szívvel.

Of Zebulun—such as were ready to go forth in host, expert for battle with all weapons of war, fifty thousand, —and for setting in array, not of two minds!

34 A Nafthali nemzetségéből ezer főember vala; és ő velek paizszsal s kopjával harminczhétezer vala.

And, of Naphtali, a thousand captains, —and, with them, with shield and spear, thirty-seven thousand.

35 A Dániták közül, a kik a viadalhoz készek valának, huszonnyolczezerhatszázan voltak.

And, of the Danite, expert for war, twenty-eight thousand, and six hundred.

36 És az Áser fiai közül a hadakozók és az ütközethez készek negyvenezeren valának.

And, of Asher, such as were ready to go forth in host to set in array for battle, forty thousand.

37 A Jordánon túl lakozók közül, azaz a Rúbeniták, Gáditák és a Manasse nemzetségének fele közül, minden viadalhoz való szerszámokkal egyetemben, jöttek százhúszezeren.

And, from over the Jordan, of the Reubenites and Gadites and half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of weapons of war for battle, a hundred and twenty thousand.

38 Mindezek hadakozó férfiak, a viadalra elkészülve, egy értelemmel mentek vala Hebronba, hogy Dávidot az egész Izráel felett királylyá válaszszák, sőt ezeken kivül is az egész Izráel egy szívvel azon volt, hogy Dávidot királylyá válaszszák.

All these, being men of war, expert in setting in battle-array, with a perfect heart, came to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel, —moreover also, all the rest of Israel, were of one heart to make David king.

39 És ott maradának Dáviddal harmadnapig, s esznek és isznak vala; mert az ő atyjokfiai készítettek vala nékik;

So they were there, with David, three days, eating and drinking, —for their brethren had made preparation for them.

40 És úgy a szomszédságukban levők, mint mások Izsakhárig, Zebulonig és Nafthaliig hoznak vala kenyereket szamarakon, tevéken, öszvéreken és ökrökön, eleséget, lisztet, fügét, aszuszőlőt, bort, olajat, vágóbarmokat, juhokat számtalan sokat; mert nagy öröm vala Izráelben.

Moreover also, they who were near of kin unto them, as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, were bringing bread, on asses and on camels and on mules and on oxen, meal-food, cakes of figs and cakes of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep—in abundance, —for there was joy Israel.
