Zakariás 7
1 Történt Darjáves királynak negyedik évében, lett az Örökkévaló igéje Zekarjához, a kilenczedik hónap negyedikén: Kiszlévben.
And it comes to pass, in the fourth year of Darius the king, a word of YHWH has been to Zechariah, in the fourth of the ninth month, in Chisleu.
2 Küldte ugyanis Bét-Él Saréczert és Régem-Mélekhet meg embereit, hogy könyörögjenek az Örökkévalóhoz,
And Beth-El sends Sherezer and Regem-Melech, and its men, to appease the face of YHWH,
3 hogy szóljanak az Örökkévaló, a seregek ura házához való papokhoz meg a prófétákhoz, mondván: Vajon sírjak-e az ötödik hónapban, megtartózkodással, amint tettem immár annyi év óta?
speaking to the priests who [are] at the house of YHWH of Hosts, and to the prophets, saying, “Do I weep in the fifth month—being separated—as I have done these so many years?”
4 Akkor lett hozzám az Örökkévalónak, a seregek urának igéje, mondván:
And there is a word of YHWH of Hosts to me, saying,
5 Szólj az ország egész népéhez és a papokhoz, mondván: Midőn böjtöltök és gyászt tartotok az ötödik és hetedik hóban – és pedig már hetven év óta – vajon nékem böjtöltök-e böjtölve?
“Speak to all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying,
6 S midőn esztek és midőn isztok, nemde ti vagytok az evők, és ti az ivók?
When you fasted with mourning in the fifth and in the seventh [months]—even these seventy years—did you keep the fast [to] Me? And when you eat, and when you drink, is it not you who are eating, and you who are drinking?
7 Nemde tudjátok azon szavakat, melyeket hirdetett az Örökkévaló, az előbbi próféták által, mikor Jeruzsálem lakva volt és jólétben, meg városai körülötte, a Délvidék s az Alföld is lakva volt!
Are [these] not the words that YHWH proclaimed by the hand of the former prophets, in Jerusalem’s being inhabited, and [in] safety, and its cities around it, and the south and the plain—abiding?”
8 És lett az Örökkévaló igéje Zekarjához, mondván:
And there is a word of YHWH to Zechariah, saying,
9 Így szól az Örökkévaló, a seregek ura, mondván: Igaz ítélettel ítéljetek, s szeretetet és irgalmat míveljetek kiki testvérével.
“Thus spoke YHWH of Hosts, saying, Judge [with] true judgment, And do kindness and mercy with one another.
10 Özvegyet és árvát, jövevényt és szegényt ne fosztogassatok, és rosszat senki a testvére ellen ne gondoljatok ki szívetekben.
And do not oppress widow, and fatherless, Sojourner, and poor, And you do not devise the calamity of one another in your heart.
11 De vonakodtak figyelni, makacs vállat mutattak és füleiket megnehezítették, úgy hogy nem hallottak;
And they refuse to attend, And they give a stubborn shoulder, And their ears are made heavy against hearing.
12 szívöket pedig gyémánttá tették, úgy hogy nem hallották a tant és a szavakat, melyeket küldött az Örökkévaló, a seregek ura az ő szellemével, az előbbi próféták által; és lett nagy harag az Örökkévaló, a seregek ura részéről.
And their heart they have made adamant, Against hearing the Law, and the words, That YHWH of Hosts sent by His Spirit, By the hand of the former prophets, And there is great wrath from YHWH of Hosts.
13 És volt, valamint szólította, de nem hallgattak rá, úgy szólítottak ők, de nem hallgattam rájuk, mondja az Örökkévaló, a seregek ura;
And it comes to pass, as He called, And they have not listened, So they call, and I do not listen,” said YHWH of Hosts.
14 Vihar módjára szétszórtam őket mind a nemzetekhez, amelyeket nem ismertek, az ország pedig elpusztult ő utánok, járó-kelő nélkül; így tették pusztasággá a gyönyörűséges országot.
“And I toss them on all the nations, That they have not known, The land has been desolate behind them, Of any passing by and turning back, And they set a desirable land for a desolation!”
