Zsoltárok 99

1 Az Örökkévaló király lett: remegnek a népek – a ki kérubokon trónol: meginog a föld.

A Psalm of David. The Lord reigns; —let the people rage; [it is he] that sits upon the cherubs, let the earth be moved.

2 Az Örökkévaló Czíónban nagy, és magas ő mind a népek fölött.

The Lord is great in Sion, and is high over all the people.

3 Dicsőítsék nevedet: nagy és félelmetes, szentséges ő.

Let them give thanks to your great name; for it is terrible and holy.

4 S erejét a királynak, ki jogot szeret, te szilárditottad meg egyeneeséggel; jogot és igazságot Jákóbban te szereztél.

And the king's honor loves judgment; you have prepared equity, you have wrought judgment and justice in Jacob.

5 Magasztaljátok az Örökkévalót, Istenünket, s boruljatok lábai zsámolyához: szentséges Ő!

Exalt you the Lord our God, and worship [at] his footstool; for he is holy.

6 Mózes és Árón papjai közül valók, Sámuel neve szólitói közül: szólítják az Örökkévalót s ő meghallgatja őket.

Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the Lord, and he heard them.

7 Felhőoszlopban beszél hozzájuk; megőrizték bizonyságait és a törvényt, melyet nekik adott.

He spoke to them in a pillar of cloud; they kept his testimonies, and the ordinances which he gave them.

8 Örökkévaló, mi Istenünk, te meghallgattad őket, megbocsátó Isten voltál nekik, megtorló is cselekvéseik miatt.

O Lord our God, you heard them; O God, you became propitious to them, though you did take vengeance on all their devices.

9 Magasztaljátok az Örökkévalót, Istenünket, s boruljatok le szent hegyéhez, mert szent az Örökkévaló, a mi Istenünk.

Exalt you the Lord our God, and worship at his holy mountain; for the Lord our God is holy.
