1 Dávidtól zsoltár. Az Örökkévalóé a föld és teljessége, a világ és a benne – lakók.

For the First Sabbath. A Psalm of David. The earth and all its fullness belong to the Lord: the whole world and all that dwells in it.

2 Mert ő tengerek mellé alapitotta és folyamok mellé szilárdította meg.

For he has founded it upon the seas, and he has prepared it upon the rivers.

3 Ki mehet fel az Örökkévaló hegyére, és ki állhat meg az ő szent helyén?

Who will ascend to the mountain of the Lord? And who will stand in his holy place?

4 A tiszta hezű és tisztúlt szivű, a ki hamisságra nem adta rá lelkét és nem esküdött csalás végett.

The innocent of hands and the clean of heart, who has not received his soul in vain, nor sworn deceitfully to his neighbor.

5 Áldást nyer majd az Örökkévalótól és iga. zságot üdvössége Istenétől.

He will receive a blessing from the Lord, and mercy from God, his Savior.

6 Ez a hozzáfordúlóknak nemzedéke: az arczodat keresők Jákób. Széla.

This is the generation that seeks him, that seeks the face of the God of Jacob.

7 Emeljétek, ti kapúk, fejeteket és emelhedjetek, ti ősrégi ajtók, hogy bevonuljon a dicsőség királya!

Lift up your gates, you princes, and be lifted up, eternal gates. And the King of Glory shall enter.

8 Ki az, a dicsőség királya? Az Örökkévaló hatalmas és hős; az Örökkévaló a karcznak hőse.

Who is this King of Glory? The Lord who is strong and powerful; the Lord powerful in battle.

9 Emeljétek, ti kapúk, fejeiteket, emeljétek ti ősrégi ajtók, hogy bevonuljon a dicsőség királya!

Lift up your gates, you princes, and be lifted up, eternal gates. And the King of Glory shall enter.

10 Kicsoda az, a dicsőség királya? Az Örökkévaló, a seregek ura, ő a dicsőség királya! Széla.

Who is this King of Glory? The Lord of virtue. He himself is the King of Glory.
