1 A karmesternek. Zsoltár Dávidtól. Hallgasson meg téged az Örökkévaló a szorultság napján, ótalmazzon téged Jákób Istenének neve;

For the end, a Psalm of David. The Lord hear you in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend you.

2 küldje segítségedet a szentélyből, és Cziónból támogasson téged!

Send you help from the sanctuary, and aid you out of Sion.

3 Emlékezzék meg mind a lisztáldozatidról és égőáldozatodat kövérnek fogadja! Széla.

Remember all your sacrifice, and enrich your whole burnt offering. (Pause)

4 Adjon neked szíved szerint, és minden tanácsodat teljesítse.

Grant you according to your heart, and fulfill all your desire.

5 Hadd ujjongunk segítségedben, és Istenünk nevében emelünk zászlót; teljesítse az Őrökkévaló mind a kérelmeidet!

We will exult in your salvation, and in the name of our God shall we be magnified: the Lord fulfil all your petitions.

6 Most tudom, hogy megsegítotte az Örökkévaló az ő fölkentjét, meghallgatja őt szent egeiből segítő jobbjának hatalmas tetteivel.

Now I know that the Lord has saved his Christ: he shall hear him from his holy heaven: the salvation of his right hand is mighty.

7 Ezek a szekérhaddal, azok a lovakkal – de mi az Örökkévalónak, Istenünknek nevét emlegetjük.

Some [glory] in chariots, and some in horses: but we will glory in the name of the Lord our God.

8 Ők görnyedtek és elestek, de mi fölkeltünk és fennmaradtunk.

They are overthrown and fallen: but we are risen, and have been set upright.

9 Örökkévaló, segíts! A király hallgasson meg bennünket, a mely napon felkiáltunk.

O Lord, save the king: and hear us in whatever day we call upon you.
