1 Dicsérő dal Dávidtól. Hadd magasztallak, Istenem, oh király, s hadd áldom nevedet mindörökké.
I will extol you, my God, O king; and I will bless your name for ever and ever.
2 Mindennap hadd áldalak téged, s dicsérem nevedet mindörökké.
Every day will I bless you; and I will praise your name for ever and ever.
3 Nagy az Örökkévaló és dicséretes nagyon, és kikutathatatlan az ő nagysága.
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
4 Nemzedék nemzedéknek dicsőíti műveidet és hatalmas tetteidet hirdetik.
One generation shall praise your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.
5 Fenséges dicsőséged díszén és csodatetteid dolgain hadd gondolkodom el.
I will speak of the glorious honor of your majesty, and of your wondrous works.
6 S félelmes tetteid erejéről szóljanak, és nágyságodat hadd beszélem el.
And men shall speak of the might of your terrible acts: and I will declare your greatness.
7 Nagy jóságod hírét ömleszszék, és igazságodon ujjongjanak.
They shall abundantly utter the memory of your great goodness, and shall sing of your righteousness.
8 Kegyelmes és irgalmas az Örökkévaló, hosszantűrő és nagy szeretetű.
The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
9 Jóságos az Örökkévaló mindenekhez, és irgalma rajta van mind az ő művein.
The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
10 Magasztalnak téged, Örökkévaló, mind a műveid, és jámboraid áldanak téged.
All your works shall praise you, O LORD; and your saints shall bless you.
11 Királyságod dicsőségéről szólnak, és hatalmadat elmondják,
They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk of your power;
12 hogy tudassák az ember fiaival hatalmas tetteit, és királysága díszének dicaőségét.
To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
13 Királyságod minden időknek királysága, és uralmad minden nemzedékben meg nemzedékben.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations.
14 Támogatja az Örökkévaló mind az elesőket, s fölegyenesíti mind a görnyedteket.
The LORD upholds all that fall, and raises up all those that be bowed down.
15 Mindenek szemei hozzád reménykednek, s te megadod nekik eledelöket a maga idején.
The eyes of all wait on you; and you give them their meat in due season.
16 Megnyitod kezedet és jóllakatsz minden élőt jóakarattal.
You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 Igazságos az Örökkévaló mind az útjain és kegyes mind az ő művei iránt.
The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
18 Közel van az Örökkévaló mind a szólítóihoz, mindazokhoz, kik igazán szólítják.
The LORD is near to all them that call on him, to all that call on him in truth.
19 Tisztelőinek akaratát megteszi s fohászukat hallja és megsegíti őket.
He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
20 Megőrzi az Örökkévaló mindazokat, a kik őt szeretik, de mind a gonoszokat megsemmisíti.
The LORD preserves all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.
21 Az Örökkévaló dicséretét mondja el szájam, és áldja minden halandó szentséges nevét mindörökké!
My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
