Zsoltárok 121

1 Ének a zarándoklásra. A hegyek felé emelem szemeimet: honnan jön segítségem?

I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains, from whence help shall come to me.

2 Segítségem az Örökkévalótól, ki égnek és földnek teremtője.

My help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

3 Ne engedje ingadozni lábadat, ne szunnyadjon a te őriződ!

May he not suffer thy foot to be moved: neither let him slumber that keepeth thee.

4 Íme, nem szunnnyad és nem alszik Izraél őrzője.

Behold he shall neither slumber nor sleep, that keepeth Israel.

5 Az Örökkévaló a te őrződ, az Örökkévaló a te árnyékod, jobb kezed mellett.

The Lord is thy keeper, the Lord is thy protection upon thy right hand.

6 Nappal nem ver téged a nap, sem éjjel a hold.

The sun shall not burn thee by day: nor the moon by night.

7 Az Örökkévaló megőriz téged minden rossztól, megőrzi lelkedet.

The Lord keepeth thee from all evil: may the Lord keep thy soul.

8 Az Örökkévaló megőrzi mentedet és jöttödet, mostantól mindörökké!

May the Lord keep thy going in and thy going out; from henceforth now and for ever.
