1 Ének. Zsoltár Dávidtól. Szilárd a szivem, oh Isten, hadd énekelek, hadd zengek – méltóságom is!
Song of a Psalm by David. O God, my heart is ready, my heart is ready; I will sing and sing psalms with my glory.
2 Ébredj lant és hárfa! Hadd ébresztem a hajnalt!
Awake, lute and harp; I will awake early.
3 Magasztallak téged népek közt, Örökkévaló, és zengek neked a nemzetek közt.
I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the people; I will sing praise to you among the Gentiles.
4 Mert nagy az egeken felül szereteted s a felhőkig igazságod.
For your mercy is great above the heavens, and your truth [reaches] to the clouds.
5 Emelkedjél az egek fölé, oh Isten, s az egész föld fölé dicsőségeddel!
Be you exalted, O God, above the heavens; and your glory above all the earth.
6 Azért hogy megszabadíttassanak kedveltjeid, segíts jobboddal és hallgass meg!
That your beloved [ones] may be delivered, save with your right hand, and hear me. God has spoken in his sanctuary;
7 Isten beszélt szentségében: hadd ujjongok, hadd osztom ki Sekhémet, és Szukkót völgyét hadd mérem fel.
I will be exalted, and will divide Sicima, and will measure out the valley of tents.
8 Enyém Gileád, enyém Menasse, Efraim pedig fejem erőssége, Jehúda törvény-pálczám.
Galaad is mine; and Manasses is mine; and Ephraim is the help of mine head; Judas is my king;
9 Móáb mosdómedenczém, Edómra vetem sarumat, Peléset fölött riadozom.
Moab is the caldron of my hope; over Idumea will I cast my sandal; the Philistines are made subject to me.
10 Ki vezet engem az erősített várba, ki vezérel engem Edómig?
Who will bring me into the fortified city? or who will guide me to Idumea?
11 Nemde te, oh Isten, elvetettél minket és nem vonulsz ki, Isten, hadainkkal!
Will not you, O God, who have rejected us? and will not you, O God, go forth with our hosts?
12 Adj nekünk segítséget a szorongatótól, hisz hiábavaló embernek segedelme.
Give us help from tribulation: for vain is the help of man.
13 Istennel végzünk hatalmast, és ő letiporja szorongatóinkat.
Through God we shall do valiantly; and he will bring to nothing our enemies.
