Zsoltárok 104
1 Áldjad, én lelkem, az Örökkévalót! Örökkévaló, én Istenem, felette nagy vagy, fenséget és díszt öltöttél.
I give praise to Yahweh with all my life, Yahweh my God, you are very magnificent; you are clothed with splendor and majesty.
2 Világosságba burkolózik, mint palástba, kiterjeszti az eget, mint a szőnyeget.
You cover yourself with light as with a garment; you spread out the heavens like a tent curtain.
3 Aki vizekben gerendázta emeleteit, aki fellegeket tesz szekerévé, aki jár a szélnek szárnyain.
You lay the beams of your chambers on the clouds; you make the clouds your chariot; you walk on the wings of the wind.
4 Szeleket tesz követeivé, szolgáivá lobogó tüzet.
He makes the winds his messengers, flames of fire his servants.
5 Talapzataira alapította a földet, hogy meg ne inogjon mindörökké.
He laid the foundations of the earth, and it will never be moved.
6 Vízárral, mint ruhával takartad be, a hegyeken vizek állnak;
You covered the earth with water like a garment; the water covered the mountains.
7 dorgálásodtól megfutamodnak, dörgésed hangjától szétsietnek –
Your rebuke made the waters recede; at the sound of your thunderous voice they fled.
8 felemelkednek hegyek, alá sülyednek síkságok – arra a helyre, melyet alapítottál nekik.
The mountains rose, and the valleys spread out into the places that you had appointed for them.
9 Határt vetettél, hogy át ne lépjék, hogy újra be ne borítsák a földet.
You have set a boundary for them that they will not cross; they will not cover the earth again.
10 Aki forrásokat bocsát a völgyekbe, hegyek között folynak.
He made springs flow into the valleys; the streams flow between the mountains.
11 Itatják minden vadját a mezőnek, vadszamarak a szomjukat oltják.
They supply water for all the animals of the field; the wild donkeys quench their thirst.
12 Fölöttük lakozik az ég madara, a lombok közül hangot hallatnak.
By the riverbanks the birds build their nests; they sing among the branches.
13 Megitatja a hegyeket emeleteiből, műveid gyümölcséből jóllakik a föld.
He waters the mountains from his water chambers in the sky. The earth is filled with the fruit of his labor.
14 Füvet sarjaszt a baromnak, meg növényt az ember munkája által, előhozván kenyeret a földből,
He makes the grass grow for the cattle and plants for man to cultivate so that man may produce food from the earth.
15 és bort, mely örvendezteti halandónak szívét, fénylővé tevén az arczot olajtól, a kenyér pedig erősíti a halandónak szívét.
He makes wine to make man happy, oil to make his face shine, and food to sustain his life.
16 Jóllaknak az Örökkévaló fái, Libánonnak czédrusai, melyeket ültetett;
The trees of Yahweh get plenty of rain; the cedars of Lebanon which he planted.
17 ahol madarak fészkelnek, a gólya – cziprusfák a háza.
There the birds make their nests. The stork makes the cypress tree her home.
18 A magas hegyek a zergéknek valók, a sziklák menedékül a hegyi nyulaknak.
The wild goats live on the high mountains; the mountain heights are a refuge for the hyraxes.
19 Teremtette a holdat ünnepek számára, a nap ismeri lementét;
He appointed the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting.
20 szerzesz sötétséget s lészen éjszaka, akkor mozog minden vadja az erdőnek.
You make the darkness of the night when all the beasts of the forest come out.
21 Fiatal oroszlánok ordítanak ragadmányért, így kérvén Istentől eledelöket.
The young lions roar for their prey and seek their food from God.
22 Felsüt a nap visszahúzódnak és tanyáikba heverednek.
When the sun rises, they retreat and sleep in their dens.
23 Dolgára kimegy az ember és munkájára egész estig.
Meanwhile, people go out to their work and labor away until the evening.
24 Mily számosak a te műveid, Örökkévaló! Mindnyáját bölcseséggel teremtetted, telve van a föld szerzeményeddel.
Yahweh, how many and varied are your works! With wisdom you made them all; the earth overflows with your works.
25 Emitt a tenger, nagy és széles határú: ott van csúszó-mászó és száma sincs, kicsiny állatok nagyokkal együtt.
Over there is the sea, deep and wide, teeming with innumerable creatures, both small and great.
26 Ott hajók járnak, a leviátán, melyet alkottál, hogy játszadozzon abban.
The ships travel there, and Leviathan is also there, which you formed to play in the sea.
27 Mindnyájan hozzád reménykednek, hogy megadjad eledelöket a maga idején. –
All these look to you to give them their food on time.
28 Adsz nekik szedegetnek; megnyitod kezedet: megtelnek jóval.
When you give to them, they gather; when you open your hand, they are satisfied.
29 Elrejted arczodat: megrémülnek; visszavonod leheletüket: kimúlnak s porukhoz térnek vissza.
When you hide your face, they are troubled; if you take away their breath, they die and return to dust.
30 Kibocsátod leheletedet: megteremtetnek; így újítod meg a föld színét.
When you send out your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the countryside.
31 Legyen az Örökkévaló dicsősége örökre, örüljön az Örökkévaló az ő művein!
May the glory of Yahweh last forever; may Yahweh enjoy his creation.
32 Aki letekintett a földre s az megrengett, megérinti a hegyeket és füstölögnek.
He looks down on the earth, and it shakes; he touches the mountains, and they smoke.
33 Hadd énekelek az Örökkévalónak életemben, hadd zengek Istenemnek, amíg vagyok!
I will sing to Yahweh all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
34 Legyen kellemes neki beszédem; én örüljek az Örökkévalóban.
May my thoughts be sweet to him; I will rejoice in Yahweh.
35 Veszszenek a vétkesek a földről, s gonoszok ne legyenek többé! Áldjad, én lelkem, az Örökkévalót! Halleluja!
May sinners vanish from the earth, and let the wicked be no more. I give praise to Yahweh with all my life. Praise Yahweh.
