Ézsaiás 62
1 Ción kedvéért nem hallgatok és Jeruzsálem kedvéért nem nyugszom, míg föl nem kel mint a fény az igazsága és segítsége mint az égő fáklya.
For Zion's sake I will not keep silence, And for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, Until her deliverance break forth like the shining light, And her salvation like a blazing torch.
2 És nemzetek látják igazságodat és mind a királyok dicsőségedet; elneveznek téged új névvel, melyet az Örökkévaló szája határoz meg.
Then shall the nations see thy prosperity, And all the kings thy glory; Thou shalt be called by a new name, Which the mouth of Jehovah shall give thee.
3 És lesz díszes koszorú az Örökkévaló kezében és királyi süveg Istened tenyerében.
Thou shalt be a beautiful crown in the hand of Jehovah, A royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
4 Nem mondanak téged többé elhagyottnak és országodat nem mondják többé pusztaságnak, hanem téged így neveznek: Kedvem benne, és országodat férjezettnek; mert kedve van az Örökkévalónak tebenned, országod pedig férjnél lesz.
No more shalt thou be called the Desolate, And thy land, the Forsaken. But thou shall be named My-delight-is-in-her. And thy land the wedded Matron. For Jehovah shall delight in thee, And thy land shall be married.
5 Mert amint az ifjú elvesz hajadont, elvesznek téged fiaid; és amint örvend a vőlegény a menyasszonynak, örvend neked Istened.
For as a young man weddeth a virgin. So shall thy children wed thee. And as a bridegroom rejoiceth in his bride, So shall thy God rejoice in thee.
6 Falaidra, Jeruzsálem, rendeltem őröket, egésznap és egész éjjel soha nem hallgatnak; akik az Örökkévalót emlékeztetitek, ne legyen nyugtotok!
Upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, have I set watchmen; All the day, and all the night, shall they not keep silence; O ye that praise Jehovah, keep not silence,
7 És ne adjatok neki nyugtot, míg meg nem szilárdítja és nem teszi Jeruzsálemet dicsőséggé a földön.
And give him no rest, Until he establish Jerusalem, and make her a praise in the earth!
8 Megesküdött az Örökkévaló a jobbjára és hatalmas karjára: Nem adom többé gabonádat eledelül ellenségeidnek és nem isszák külföldiek mustodat, amellyel fáradoztál;
Jehovah hath sworn by his right hand, and his mighty arm: No more will I give thy corn to be food for thine enemies, Nor shall the sons of the stranger drink thy wine, for which thou hast labored.
9 hanem begyűjtői fogják enni és dicsérik az Örökkévalót; és beszedői fogják inni szent udvaraimban.
But they that reap the harvest shall eat it, And praise Jehovah; And they that gather the vintage shall drink it, In my holy comets.
10 Vonuljatok, vonuljatok át a kapukon, törjétek a népnek útját, töltsétek föl, töltsétek föl a pályát, tisztítsátok meg a kőtől, emeljetek zászlót a népek felé!
Pass ye, pass ye through the gates; Prepare the way for the people; Cast ye up, cast ye up the highway, Clear it from the stones; Lift up on high a standard for the tribes!
11 Íme az Örökkévaló hallatta a föld végéig: Mondjátok Czión leányának, íme üdvöd jön, íme jutalma vele van és munkabére őelőtte.
Behold, Jehovah proclaimeth to the end of the earth: “Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy Deliverer cometh! Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him!”
12 És nevezik őket szent népnek, az Örökkévaló megváltottjainak, téged pedig neveznek fölkeresettnek, el nem hagyott városnak.
They shall be called, The holy people, The redeemed of Jehovah. And thou shalt be called, The Sought out, The Not forsaken City.
