Ézsaiás 35
1 Örvendenek majd puszta és sivatag, és ujjong a vadon és virul mint a nárcisz.
The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
2 Virulva virul és ujjong, bizony ujjongva és vigadva: a Libanon dicsősége adatott neki, a Karmel és Sárón dísze; ők látni fogják az Örökkévaló dicsőségét, Istenünk díszét.
It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing; the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon: they shall see the glory of the LORD, the excellency of our God.
3 Erősítsetek lankadt kezeket és ingó térdeket szilárdítsatok meg.
Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
4 Mondjátok a hamarkodó szívűeknek: erősödjetek, ne féljetek; itt az Istenetek, bosszú jő. Isten viszonzása, ő jön és megsegít benneteket.
Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come [with] vengeance, [with] the recompence of God; he will come and save you.
5 Akkor megnyílnak a vakok szemei és a süketek fülei fölnyittatnak.
Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6 Akkor ugrándozik mint az őz a sánta és ujjong a némának nyelve; mert vizek fakadnak a pusztában és patakok a vadonban.
Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
7 És a délibáb tóvá lesz és a szomjas föld vízforrásokká; a sakálok lakásában, heverőhelyükön tanyája van a nádnak és sásnak.
And the glowing sand shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water: in the habitation of jackals, where they lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
8 És lesz ott ösvény meg út, szent útnak nevezik majd azt, nem járja tisztátalan, hanem az övék lesz; aki ezúton jár, még oktalanok sem tévednek el.
And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, yea fools, shall not err [therein].
9 Nem lesz ott oroszlán, vad ragadozó nem megy rajta, nem találtatik ott; hanem járnak a megszabadultak.
No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast go up thereon, they shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk [there]:
10 És az Örökkévaló megváltottjai visszatérnek és jönnek Cziónba ujjongással, örökös öröm a fejükön, vígságot és örömet érnek és elfut bú és sóhaj.
and the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
