1 Mózes 29
1 És fölemelte Jákob lábait és elment a Kelet fiainak országába.
Therfor Jacob passide forth, and cam in to the eest lond;
2 És látta, hogy íme egy kút van a mezőn és íme ott három juhnyáj heverész mellette, mert abból a kútból itatták a nyájakat; de a kő nagy volt a kút száján.
and seiy a pit in the feeld, and thre flockis of scheep restynge bisidis it, for whi scheep weren watrid therof, and the mouth therof was closid with a greet stoon.
3 És miután odagyűltek mind a nyájak, akkor elgördítették a követ a kút szájáról és megitatták a juhokat; azután visszatették a követ a kút szájára, a helyére.
And the custom was that whanne alle scheep weren gaderid togidere, thei schulden turne awei the stoon, and whanne the flockis weren fillid thei schulden put it eft on the mouth of the pit.
4 És mondta nekik Jákob: Testvéreim, honnan valók vagytok ti? És ők mondták: Choronból valók vagyunk mi.
And Jacob seide to the scheepherdis, Brithren, of whennus ben ye? Whiche answeriden, Of Aran.
5 És mondta nekik: Ismeritek-e Lábánt, Nochór fiát? És ők mondták: Ismerjük.
And he axide hem and seide, Wher ye knowen Laban, the sone of Nachor? Thei seiden, We knowen.
6 És mondta nekik: Békességben van-e? És ők mondták: Békességben; és íme, Ráchel, az ő leánya jön a juhokkal.
Jacob seide, Is he hool? Thei seiden, He is in good staat; and lo! Rachel, his douytir, cometh with his flok.
7 És ő mondta: Íme, még nagy a nap, nincs még ideje beterelni a nyájat, itassátok meg a juhokat és menjetek, legeltessetek.
And Jacob seide, Yit myche of the dai is to come, and it is not tyme that the flockis be led ayen to the fooldis; sotheli yyue ye drynk to the scheep, and so lede ye hem ayen to mete.
8 De ők mondták: Nem tehetjük, amíg össze nem gyűlnek mind a nyájak, akkor elgördítik a követ a kút szájáról, hogy megitassuk a juhokat.
Whiche answeriden, We moun not til alle scheep be gederid to gidere, and til we remouen the stoon fro the mouth of the pit to watir the flockis.
9 Még beszélt velük és Ráchel jött a juhokkal, melyek atyjáéi voltak, mert pásztornő volt ő.
Yit thei spaken, and lo! Rachel cam with the scheep of hir fadir.
10 És volt, midőn meglátta Jákob Ráchelt, Lábánnak, anyja fivérének leányát és Lábánnak, anyja fivérének juhait, akkor odalépett Jákob és elgördítette a követ a kút szájáról és megitatta Lábánnak, anyja testvérének juhait.
And whanne Jacob seiy hir, and knewe the douytir of his modris brothir, and the scheep of Laban his vncle, he remeuyde the stoon with which the pit was closid;
11 Megcsókolta Jákob Ráchelt és fölemelte hangját és sírt.
and whanne the flok was watrid, he kisside hir, and he wepte with `vois reisid.
12 És tudtára adta Jákob Ráchelnek, hogy az ő atyjának rokona ő és hogy Rebeka fia ő; az pedig futott és tudtára adta atyjának.
And he schewide to hir that he was the brothir of hir fadir, and the sone of Rebecca; and sche hastide, and telde to hir fadir.
13 És volt, midőn Lábán hallotta hírét Jákobnak, az ő nővére fiának, elébe futott, átölelte, megcsókolta és bevitte a házába; ő pedig elbeszélte Lábánnak mind a dolgokat.
And whanne he hadde herd, that Jacob, the sone of his sistir, cam, he ran ayens hym, and he biclippide Jacob and kisside hym, and ledde in to his hows. Forsothe whanne the causis of the iurney weren herd,
14 És mondta neki Lábán: Bizony csontom és húsom vagy te! És maradt nála egy teljes hónapig.
Laban answeride, Thou art my boon and my fleisch. And aftir that the daies of o moneth weren fillid, Laban seide to him,
15 Ekkor mondta Lábán Jákobnak: Vajon azért, mert rokonom vagy te, szolgálnál engem ingyen? Add tudtomra, mi legyen a béred?
`Whethir for thou art my brothir, thou schalt serue me frely? seie thou what mede thou schalt take.
16 Lábánnak pedig volt két leánya: a nagyobbik neve Léa, a kisebbik neve pedig Ráchel.
Forsothe Laban hadde twei douytris, the name of the more was Lya, sotheli the lesse was clepid Rachel;
17 Léa szemei azonban gyengék voltak, Ráchel pedig szép alakú és szép ábrázatú volt.
but Lya was blere iyed, Rachel was of fair face, and semeli in siyt.
18 És Jákob szerette Ráchelt; és mondta: Szolgállak téged hét évig Ráchelért, kisebbik leányodért.
And Jacob louede Rachel, and seide, Y schal serue thee seuene yeer for Rachel thi lesse douytir.
19 És mondta Lábán: Jobb, ha neked adom őt, mintha adom őt más férfinak; maradj nálam.
Laban answeride, It is betere that Y yyue hir to thee than to anothir man; dwelle thou at me.
20 És szolgált Jákob Ráchelért hét évig; és olyanok voltak szemeiben, mint egynéhány nap, mivelhogy szerette őt.
Therfor Jacob seruyde seuene yeer for Rachel; and the daies semyden fewe to hym for the greetnesse of loue.
21 És mondta Jákob Lábánnak: Add ide feleségemet, mert leteltek napjaim; hadd menjek be hozzá.
And he seide to Laban, Yyue thou my wijf to me, for the tyme is fillid that Y entre to hir.
22 Erre egybegyűjtötte Lábán a helység összes embereit és csinált lakomát.
And whanne many cumpenyes of freendis weren clepid to the feeste, he made weddyngis,
23 És volt este, vette leányát, Leát és bevitte őhozzá; ő pedig bement hozzá.
and in the euentid Laban brouyte in to hym Lya his douytir,
24 És Lábán odaadta neki Zilpót, az ő szolgálóját, Léa lányának szolgálóul.
and yaf an handmaide, Selfa bi name, to the douyter. And whanne Jacob hadde entrid to hir bi custom, whanne the morewtid was maad, he seiy Lya,
25 És volt reggel, íme Léa az; akkor mondta Lábánnak: Mit tettél velem? Nem-e Ráchelért szolgáltam nálad, miért csaltál meg?
and seide to his wyues fadir, What is it that thou woldist do? wher Y seruede not thee for Rachel? whi hast thou disseyued me?
26 És mondta Lábán: Nem tesznek úgy a mi helységünkben, hogy odaadják az ifjabbikat az idősebb előtt.
Laban answerde, It is not custom in oure place that we yyue first the `lesse douytris to weddyngis;
27 Töltsd ki ennek a hetét és odaadjuk neked amazt is, a szolgálatért, mellyel majd szolgálsz nálam még másik hét évig.
fille thou the wouke of daies of this couplyng, and Y schal yyue to thee also this Rachel, for the werk in which thou schalt serue me bi othere seuene yeer.
28 És Jákob úgy tett; kitöltötte emennek a hetét is azt neki adta Ráchelt, a leányát őneki feleségül.
Jacob assentide to the couenaunt, and whanne the wouke was passid,
29 És odaadta Lábán Ráchelnek, az ő leányának Bilhót, az ő szolgálóját, őneki szolgálóul.
he weddide Rachel, to whom the fadir hadde youe Bala seruauntesse.
30 Bement (Jákob) Ráchelhez is és jobban szerette Ráchelt Leánál; és szolgált nála még másik hét évig.
And at the laste he vside the weddyngis desirid, and settide the loue of the `wijf suynge bifore the former; and he seruede at Laban seuene othere yeer.
31 Az Örökkévaló pedig látta, hogy Léa gyűlölt és megnyitotta méhét; Ráchel pedig magtalan volt.
Forsothe the Lord seiy that he dispiside Lya, and openyde hir wombe while the sistir dwellide bareyn.
32 Léa fogant és fiat szült és elnevezte Rúbénnek, mert mondta: Bizony látta az Örökkévaló nyomorúságomat, mert most szeret majd az én férjem.
And Lia childide a sone conseyued, and clepide his name Ruben, and seide, The Lord seiy my mekenesse; now myn hosebonde schal loue me.
33 Újra fogant és fiat szült és mondta: Mert meghallotta az Örökkévaló, hogy gyűlölt vagyok, azért adta nekem ezt is; és elnevezte Simonnak.
And eft sche conseyuede, `and childide a sone, and seide, For the Lord seiy that Y was dispisid, he yaf also this sone to me; and sche clepide his name Symeon.
34 Újra fogant és fiat szült és mondta: Most immár ragaszkodni fog hozzám férjem, mert szültem neki három fiút; azért nevezte el Lévinek.
And sche conseyuede the thridde tyme, and childide anothir sone, and she seide also, Now myn hosebonde schal be couplid to me, for Y childide thre sones to him; and therfor sche clepide his name Leuy.
35 Újra fogant és fiat szült és mondta: Immár hálát adok az Örökkévalónak, azért nevezte el Júdának. És többet nem szült.
The fourthe tyme sche conseyuede, and childide a sone, and seide, Now I schal knouleche to the Lord; and herfor she clepide his name Judas; and ceesside to childe.
