1 E dolgok után pedig, Artachsaszt, Perzsia királya uralma alatt, Ezra, Szerája fia, Azarja fia, Chilkija fia,

2 Sallúm fia, Czádók fia, Achitúb fia,

3 Amarja fia, Azarja fia, Merájót fia,

4 Zerachja fia, Uzzí fia, Bukkí fia,

5 Abísúá fia, Pínechász fia, Eleázár fia, Áron főpap fia –

6 ő, Ezra fölvonult Bábelből, s ő irástudó volt, jártas Mózes tanában, a melyet adott az Örökkévaló Izraél Istene, s megadta neki a király, a mint rajta volt az Örökkévaló az ő Istene keze, minden kivánságát.

7 És felvonultak Izraél fiai közül a papok és a leviták, az énekesek s a kapuőrök és a szentélyszolgák közül Jeruzsálembe Artachsaszt király hetedik évében.
and to ascend: rise from son: descendant/people Israel and from [the] priest and [the] Levi and [the] to sing and [the] gatekeeper and [the] temple servant to(wards) Jerusalem in/on/with year seven to/for Artaxerxes [the] king
8 És elérkezett Jeruzsálembe az ötödik hónapban, ugyancsak a király hetedik évében.
and to come (in): come Jerusalem in/on/with month [the] fifth he/she/it year [the] seventh to/for king
9 Mert az első hónap elsején volt a Bábelből való fölvonulás megkezdése, és az ötödik hónap elsején érkezett Jeruzsálembe, a mint rajta volt Istenének jóságos keze.

10 Mert Ezra arra irányitotta szivét, hogy kutassa és megtegye az Örökkévaló tanát, hogy tanitson Izraélben törvényt és jogot.

11 És ez az irat másolata, melyet Artachsaszt király adott Ezrának, a papnak, az irástudónak, a ki irástudó az Örökkévaló parancsolatai és Izraél számára adott törvényei szavaiban.

12 Artachsaszt, a királyok királya Ezrának, a papnak, a ki irástudója az ég Istene törvényének, teljesen és így tovább.

13 Tőlem adatik a rendelet, hogy mindenki, a ki felajánlkozik királyságomban Izraél népe és papjai és a leviták közül, hogy Jeruzsálembe menjen, veled menjen,
from me to set: make command that all be willing in/on/with kingdom my from people [the] Israel and priest his and Levite [the] to/for to go to/for Jerusalem with you to go
14 mivelhogy a király és a hét tanácsosa részéről kiküldve vagy vizsgálatot tartani Jehúda és Jeruzsálem fölött Istened törvénye szerint, a mely kezedben van,
like/as to/for before: because that from before king [the] and seven counsellor his to send to/for to enquire since Judah and to/for Jerusalem in/on/with law god your that in/on/with hand your
15 s hogy vigyél ezüstöt és aranyat, a mit a király s tanácsosai fölajánlottak Izraél Istenének, a kinek Jeruzsálemben van hajléka,
and to/for to bring silver and gold that king [the] and counsellor his be willing to/for god Israel that in/on/with Jerusalem habitation his
16 s minden ezüstöt s aranyat, a mit találsz Bábel egész tartományában, a felajánlással együtt, a mit a nép s a papok fölajánlanak Istenük házának, mely Jeruzsálemben van.
and all silver and gold that to find in/on/with all province Babylon with be willing people [the] and priest [the] be willing to/for house god their that in/on/with Jerusalem
17 Ennél fogva buzgón vásárolj ez ezüstön tulkokat, kosokat és juhokat meg a liszt- és öntő áldozataikat, s mutasd be azokat az oltáron, mely Istentek házában van Jeruzsálemben.
like/as to/for before: because this diligently to buy in/on/with silver [the] this bullock ram lamb and offering their and drink offering their and to approach they since altar [the] that house god your that in/on/with Jerusalem
18 A mit pedig neked s testvéreidnek jónak tetszik tenni a többi ezüsttel s aranynyal, Istentek akarata szerint tegyétek.
and what? that (since you *Q(k)*) and since (brother your *Q(k)*) (be good *LH(ab)*) in/on/with remainder silver [the] and gold [the] to/for to make like/as pleasure god your to make
19 Az edényeket pedig, melyek neked adatnak Istened háza szolgálata számára, szolgáltasd át Jeruzsálem Istene előtt.
and utensil [the] that to give to/for you to/for service house god your be complete before god Jerusalem
20 És Istened házának többi szükségletét, a mit alkalmad lesz adni, adjad a király kincsesházából.
and remainder requirement house god your that to fall to/for you to/for to give: give to give: give from house treasure king [the]
21 S én tőlem, Artachsaszt királytól, adatik a rendelet mind a Folyamontúl kincstárosainak, hogy minden, a mit tőletek kér Ezra a pap, az ég Istene törvényének irástudója, buzgón végeztessék:

22 száz kikkár ezüstig, száz kór buzáig, éa száz bat borig, és száz bat olajig, só pedig előirás nélkül.
till silver talent hundred and till wheat kor hundred and till wine bath hundred and till bath oil hundred and salt that not inscription
23 Mindaz, a mi az ég Istenének rendeletéből való, végeztessék pontosan az ég Istenének háza számára, mert minek legyen harag a királynak és fiainak uralma fölött.

24 Véletek pedig tudatjuk, hogy mind a papokra és levitákra, az énekesekre, kapuőrökre, szentélyszolgákra s ez Istenháza szolgálattevőire adót, vámot és utipénzt kivetni senkinek nem szabad.
and to/for you to know that all priest [the] and Levite [the] singer [the] doorkeeper [the] temple servant [the] and to serve house god [the] this tribute tribute and toll not ruling to/for to cast since them
25 Te pedig, Ezra, a te Istened bölcsesége szerint, a mely kezedben van, rendelj birákat s jogtudókat, hogy jogot mondjanak az egész népnek, a mely a Folyamon túl van, mindazoknak, a kik a te Istened törvényeit ismerik; a ki pedig nem ismeri, azzal ismertessétek meg.
and you Ezra like/as wisdom god your that in/on/with hand your to reckon/appoint to judge and judge that to be (to judge *Q(k)*) to/for all people [the] that in/on/with beyond River [the] to/for all to know law god your and that not to know to know
26 S mindaz, a ki nem teszi meg Istenednek törvényét s a királynak törvényét, buzgón végeztessék rajta az ítélet: akár halálra, akár kiközösítésre, akár vagyonbeli büntetésre és böntönre.

27 Áldva legyen az Örökkévaló, őseink Istene, a ki ilyet adott a király szivébe, hogy megdicsőitse az Örökkévaló házát Jeruzsálemben;

28 felém pedig forditott kegyet a király és tanácsosai előtt s mind a király vitéz nagyjai előtt. És én megerősödtem, a mint rajtam volt az Örökkévalónak, Istenemnek keze s összegyüjtöttem Izraélből főembereket, bogy velem fölvonuljanak.
and upon me to stretch kindness to/for face: before [the] king and to advise him and to/for all ruler [the] king [the] mighty man and I to strengthen: strengthen like/as hand: power LORD God my upon me and to gather [emph?] from Israel head: leader to/for to ascend: rise with me
